Just so I have this straight. You liberal/progressive/drone types are convinced that it is good policy to pass the largest bill that has passed through the halls of Congress in over 50 years, and you're ready to support a legislative slight of hand to make it happen? I got that about right?

You guys are all for not allowing the Representatives in the House of Representatives to actually represent the will of the people. I got that about right, too?

Well have fun defending that position you rubes. You are supporting the outright destruction of the US Constitution. And, no, this has never been done before by Bush or the Republicans.

Gee, 38 seperate states are drafting lawsuits to fight this crap. I see that the people are really behind this monstrosity! LOL! Keep telling yourselves that drones.

Yawn . . .

You really need to diversify your news input.

"never been done before by Bush or the Republicans"
Is this the requirement that you need to have fulfilled? Dems can do it after the Repubs do it first?
Well, the R's have done it. A lot.

Hopefully a public option will be put back in before implementation.
Then everybody will be happy . . . .

Before you add another post, please explain why you call me names for expressing my beliefs.

LOL! We are so screwed! We've got a hard left ideologue for a president, and we've got an idiot as a vice president. Has Joe Biden ever not put his foot in his mouth?

Biden then cited the Irish proverb that "a silent mouth is sweet to hear" and yielded the podium to the president.

Not all of them....
-----------------------
Even one of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s floor whips, U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch, says a proposed parliamentary move to pass health-care reform would be “disingenuous” and harm the credibility of Congress.

In a sign of how tough it’s been for Pelosi to round up votes for the massive bill, Lynch - a South Boston Democrat who supported a House reform package last year - said he’ll probably vote against a key Senate version of the legislation, unless unexpected major changes are made soon.

Lynch, who serves as one of Pelosi’s key vote counters, said he also can’t support a proposed “deem and pass” procedure that would allow Democrats to vote to strip out controversial portions of the Senate bill and then “deem” that the entire package has passed without a second, direct vote.

“It’s disingenuous,” said Lynch, who considers unfair a Senate provision to tack a surcharge on higher-end health plans. “It would really call into question the credibility of the House.”

No. I'm just a concerned American who is quite happy with my private insurance that Obama and his crook friends in congress are so bound and determined to take away from me and my kids. You're a drone that believes everything that these lying sacks of shit tell you. Oh btw, and there are "death panels" in the bill, but you wouldn't know that because you don't listen anyone except for the very bastards that are trying to dupe you into surrendering more and more of your liberty to a bunch of leftist bastards in DC. Section 3403 in the bill speaks directly to the death panels, and that is exactly what they are. Don't believe me though Pdog. Go ahead and ask big daddy government to redistribute your wealth for the greater good.

Your lack of confidence in our Republic is troubling, and some people might say unpatriotic.   And your constant, hysterical, Chicken Little overly doom-laden reading of every single aspect of the Administration demeans any real points you may someday make.  This story about Biden's latest momentary gaffe  means America is "so screwed"?  When's the last time we had a VP who wasn't a putz of some sort? I'd say 1801. Thomas Jefferson. And of course a case can be made for HIM being a putz too.

Biden's no Tom Jefferson, for sure. He's also no Dick Cheney, and no Sarah Palin, thank God.  In this instance, that's all any of us were allowed to hope for.

I stated that clearly before we invaded Iraq... tell me... I'll be here for a long time, so I can't wait for your preditions to come true in 2 years... fast and hard like... haha, you're boring and predictable... did you ask your doctor if Lipitor was right for you?

Whatever, Pdog.

Hey, can you explain to me how it's going to be a good thing that the Democrats have stuffed the nationalization of students loans into this fraud of a health care bill? Just one more incremental step towards total socialism, but hey don't believe me. It's only happening right before your very eyes! So, you know, there's plenty of my predictions that are not only 100% true (most of them in fact), but provably true. Not that little things like facts would ever wake you up. I find it stunningly stunning that you put your trust in the same government that has bankrupted Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Fannie, Freddie, and on, and on, and on.........Yet you just keep on worshiping at the alter of big daddy government, and slamming private enterprise. Strange. If I'm a one trick pony then you are a pony with blinders on.

What the other 49 states do not know & Obama refuses to acknowledge is
the fact that since Health Care was made mandatory here four years ago,
State of Mass has lost 4 BILLION Dollars with this program.  It is not working
here & the country is being sold down the river.  Read this article from the
current State Treasurer for more information.

Reforming the for-profit student loan system, which currently allows finance giants like Virginia-based Sallie Mae to make virtually risk-free returns thanks to government subsidies, was a top priority of President Obama. His idea, supported by most Democrats, was to take out the middle-man: Instead of subsidizing private lenders, the feds would completely take over origination of student loans.

The result: The Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act, which the Office of Management and Budget estimated would save over $80 billion over 10 years (critics point out the number is inflated, because it didn't include money lost from defaults; but that's neither here nor there, because the government currently absorbs private losses anyway). Savings would be plowed back into Pell Grants -- much easier on students on the long-term -- and other higher education initiatives.

This needs some work. The equation isn't logical.
100% true = most of them = probably true = things like facts

I'm awake.

"Take out the middle man"

Read-The nationalization of any god damned thing that the government wants to get their hands on. So you support the death of capitalism. Just come right out and say it, damnit! They are going after the money, and the power you thick headed fool!! When the government controls the loans they control the students, moron!!

Profits are bad, right funman? Unless, of course, the government can control the purse strings.

You're so damned naive it's scary.

Do you guys even read your own posts?  It seems like you only read the first paragraph of the article. Or maybe just the title.

"Many policy makers and candidates, including Gov. Patrick, have acknowledged that while the state law has succeeded in extending coverage to about 97 percent of residents, it has not lowered insurance premiums, which have continued to rise sharply. But Patrick said yesterday that the treasurer is wrong again to assert that the law, which was signed by Governor Mitt Romney, is sinking the state’s finances.

“Independent analysis has shown that health reform in the Commonwealth has added about 1 percent to the state budget,’’ Patrick told reporters.

Baker, who released a 10-point “government reform plan’’ yesterday, agreed with Patrick that the state law is not bankrupting Massachusetts.

Like Patrick, Baker cited a report issued last year by the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation, a business-backed watchdog group, that found the cost of the law to state taxpayers is about $88 million a year, less than four-tenths of 1 percent of the $27 billion state budget.

“Now, I think, is a good time to talk about reforming it, and rethinking some of the program components,’’ Baker said. “But I would not say so far it’s bankrupted the Commonwealth.’’ "

Yeah, that's some scary stuff. 4/10 of 1%.   That was clever

This needs some work. The equation isn't logical.
100% true = most of them = probably true = things like facts

I'm awake.

You're awake? Really? Then can you read?

I said that "most" of my predictions are 100% true, and they are "provably" true. I did not say probably.

So, you know, wake up.

Your unrestrained love of free-market capitalism strikes me this way:  if a gallon of gasoline can move a car 40 or 50 miles via the process of internal combustion, think howe great it will be if we pour tons of gasoline on everything and then light a match! Then we'll REALLY be goin' places!

Your beloved free market capitalism has resulted in a healthcare system which rewards those who deny claims and refuse the least among us, instead of those who heal the most. Now that someone is FINALLY talking about reforming it, you say "I've got mine, screw everyone else" and can only see it as a "money grab".

Pure unadulterated socialism certainly doesn't work, but neither does pure unadulterated capitalism.

Sorry Padre, you've got it all wrong.
Common knowledge here that the state is losing this money on healthcare.
Baker does not want too touch it because he wants Romney's support in his run for Gov.  as well that Romney initiated the health care plan.
Coupe Deval Patrick does not want to ruffle Obama's feathers.
It would pay you to take a closer look at the scene, it is bankrupting the state.
Want another article attesting to this?

Yeah that's a real money-making proposition.......good luck with that.  I mean I'm sure none of you owe shitloads back on student loans you have no intention of paying....... I see it every day at my job. Half the reason students enroll is so they can get an income without working. Or to pay off the 5,000.00 they owe to the apartment complex they didn't pay rent on for a year. Or the lawyer they have to pay to get their babies daddy's to make their child support payments. They don't give a fuck about getting educated. Write that shit off as a huge loss right now.
