No, the whole "transforming the country into San Fran" thing would fall more under your anti-gay bias.

Oh, and,um...

I have called for sending all radcial Islamists straight to hell, but Muslims in general? Never.

As for She Rat's diagnosis? Well that's news to me.

Sexual orientation? I have never slammed gays or lesbians! Are you referring to the fact that I called JC/FPM a limpwristed prick? Really? You consider that a slam against gays? You're just wrong. My saying these things is more of an attempt at underscoring the sissified manner of a condescending jerk that hides behind an alias that most know full well is nothing more than a blatant attempt at attacking some peoples' religious views.

This is a circular argument, Pdog. You will never acknowledge my point of view because it differs with yours. You will never call out the most obvious bigots on this board because they do agree with you on political issues. You happily ignore the bigotry of funman ( or at the very least try to minimize it), and the open ridicule from JC while at the same time trying to conjure up some sophomoric psychological profile of me. In other words, you are a hypocrite.

Again, please point to a post where I intentionally slammed gays and lesbians. While you're at it please dig up a post from me that calls for the extermination of anyone. I could cut and paste plenty of posts from funman, JC/FPM, and even BJ where they openly dismiss Christians as backwoods hicks that are somehow not as intellectually gifted as they vainly see themselves. Care to argue that point?

Riffy

"You will never acknowledge my point of view because it differs with yours."

is this supposed to make sense... Is this like saying I dress differently, so that means I don't like your clothes or recognize they exist?

Or maybe the bigger question is, why do you feel the need for someone who thinks differently than you, to acknowledge you. Now we are in Doc Phil territory, sounds like you're a little insecure with your views, and unless I tell you yours ok, you're messed up, nope I'm messed up, forgot who i was talking to... I can paste those examples of your personailty disorder again, this need to be validated is one of the traits. While your ignoring your defect, look up mine at least. I'm passive agressive, it might help you not look so bad and argue with me better...

so, you want more of your own quotes:

"Fuck him! And fuck anyone that dare defend this cocksucking madman! He wants the government to have all the power centralized in DC, and some of you just happily hand over your liberty to this fucking madman!

And look at what that cunt Pelosi has to say about it! Gee, I am just shocked that she is laying the blame on Bush! Shocked I say"

there's gay and gender bashing... it's not once off posting, you've done this for years, it's called a pattern. You're crap is deep seeded, and you're so good at manipulating language, but it's there for all to see... if you don't mix the hate, and take the time to read your points, they lose 90% of any impact. They are weak points and small arguments. It's been interesting how you know talk about how much you find at fault with Bush, but it's all retroactive. I've said it before, you ignored the precendant he set, lowered the bar, and now bitch that you're tripping over it. These rights pissed away, then, don't just come back... life is like that, sometimes you gwt one shot... you gave your freedoms under Bush, and now complain Obama is doing the same thing... What president is responsible for the highest tax increase ever? hint, the same one who presided over the worst unemployment ever...

Pelosi is a cunt. I used the most vile word that I could conger for a woman that has designs on transforming this country into a large scale version of San Fran and you think that that makes me anti-woman?! Wrong-o boy-o! It makes me anti-Pelosi, and nothing more.

Riffy

Easy there. Mister New Yorker. Pelosi might be a cunt, but she's our cunt. And their ain't a motherfucking thing more wrong with San Francisco than their is with New York.....In my most humble fucking opinion of course. What the fuck?

National GOP leaders are doing damage control today after a Politico scoop lifted the curtain on the party's plan to tap voters' "fear" in the coming campaign season. The PR problem started when an absent-minded attendee at the Republican National Committee (RNC) confab on February 18 in Boca Grande, Florida, left a 72-page document from its 2010 strategizing session in a hotel room. Today, Politico reporter Ben Smith's expose is making headlines.

The memo tracks the fundraising presentation that RNC Finance Director Rob Bickhart delivered to the RNC's $2,500-a-head annual retreat. The best path to victory in 2010, the document advises, is for Republican candidates to depict themselves as the best hope for resisting the "trending toward socialism" taking shape in a Democrat-dominated Washington.

And the document doesn't shy from making its points graphically. MSNBC showed the images this morning on "Morning Joe":

The presentation portrays the Obama administration as "The Evil Empire," including the now-infamous image of President Obama made over in the makeup Heath Ledger used in his performance as the Joker in the 2008 Batman movie "The Dark Knight." House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appears as Cruella De Vil from "101 Dalmatians," and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is the witless cartoon dog Scooby-Doo. The memo candidly confirms that the aim of such caricature is to amp up "fear" among the GOP's conservative base. The memo also makes fun of major RNC donors, categorizing some as "ego-driven" and easily pacified with "tchochkes" (a Slavic word for toys).

The embrace of harsh rhetoric and the swipes at the large donor set seem to signal the GOP establishment's growing comfort with employing tactics associated with the activist Tea Party movement—and with plying Tea Party sympathizers for cash. Of course, it isn't unusual for parties out of power to court controversy and play with fire to rile up donors and grass-roots activists. The RNC has caught heat for fundraising tactics in the past, most recently when it was caught sending out fake census forms to raise money. And Democrats have shown a demagogic streak in the past, depicting George W. Bush and Dick Cheney as Bond-like supervillains and playing up alleged GOP plans to kill Social Security to rally voters behind a popular entitlement program.

When asked by Yahoo! News if the leaked presentation reflects a coordinated effort to appeal more to the Tea Party movement, RNC spokesman Doug Heye replied that the group's chairman, Michael Steele, "was recently invited by Tea Party activists to a meeting, which he was happy to do. Following the meeting, it was clear those in the meeting shared a common goal: stopping the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda." As for plans to further that alliance with the inflammatory material in the memo, Heye reiterated what he'd told Politico earlier: "The language and the imagery will not be used in any capacity in the future."

There's no question that the Obama-as-Joker image—long a familiar icon at Tea Party rallies—is a toxic association for the GOP establishment. Oddly enough, though, that image's origins can be traced to the activist left. As revealed by the Los Angeles Times last year, the image was created by a supporter of Rep. Dennis Kucinich, a University of Illinois student named Firas Alkhateeb, who told the Times that he uploaded the photo onto his Flickr page, and a conservative activist promptly snatched it up.

Such are the odd convergences of movement politics. However, the RNC may have more trouble distancing itself from the equation of Democratic policy with socialism, however, since Michael Steele is credited with originating that meme in the health care debate.

What Mitt Romney propossed in Mass is not what the Democrat run state legislature acted, or instituted, Pdog.

As for my "black and white" myopia. What part of the vast majority of Americans DO NOT WANT GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTH CARE do you not understand?

It really is pretty black and white here, Pdog. Every single poll shows conclusively that the American public want no part of this madness. It can be no mre clear than the Scott Brown victory in a very liberal Mass.

In the best of scenarios, those that know the game can make the most meaningful reform.
What do you think my options on this are? Do you want me to tell Geithner he's fired?

And from what I have seen posted here, there are ZERO "far left" people on this thread.
I think a President Bernie Sanders administration would literally do you in. Your heart couldn't take it . . .

Hey funman, would you please explain to me why Scott Brown won in the most liberal state in the nation? Can you please refresh my memory has to the platform that he implicitly ran on?

What 50 gallon drum of Kool Aid are you drinking from? Most Americans want health care reform, but they sure as hell don't want this monstrosity of a massive government power grab that this bill represents.

And that you don't get the fact that Barack Obama is the most far left radical president in this nation's history only proves that you don't know anything about this clown, or his radical associations and his voting record.

I hate to be the one to break this to you and your brother-in-arms JC, but Obama is going to lose the House, and he may well lose ther Senate come November. He is a one term chump, and that is a good thing.

Mitt Romney won it too... you seem to think in black and white only... you do know most people don't? They can change minds, have the right to be wrong...

It can be no mre clear than the Scott Brown victory in a very liberal Mass.

all i said is mitt romney won an election in the state too...

Just a quick heads up.....

The pilot that flew his plane in the IRS building last month, Joe Stack, was a disgruntled liberal and was a registered Democrat.

Likewise, the Pentagon shooter yesterday was a disgruntled liberal who was a "9/11 Truther", and a registered Democrat.

Now does this mean that I think that all disgruntled liberals and registered Democrats are unhinged whack jobs? No, however, I can guarantee that had either one of these freaks been a registered Republican, or worse yet a Christian Tea Party member, the media would have been screaming it from the rooftops! And worse yet, funman would have underscoring the whole radical Christian angle. LOL!

Just another example of the double standard that liberals always apply to Republican or Conservatives.

Riffy compares a challenge to religious beliefs to racist attacks on blacks by the KKK.  This is an absurd analogy.  Race is an ascribed characteristic; religion is a set of acquired beliefs.  You can (at least in theory) talk a person out of a belief; you can't convince someone to stop being black.

Religion, like any other belief system, is subject to critical analysis and comparison to objective reality.  There was a time when Christians did not run away from theological dispute with their doctrinal tails between their legs, shouting "Bigotry!" because someone dared to question the rationality of fairy tales such as the virgin birth or the resurrection.  Read the works of Saint Thomas Aquinas for a vigorous defense of the existence of God and other Christian tenets.  It would appear that, in the light of scientific progress that has undercut Aquinas's arguments, the contemporary Christian response is to declare discussion of their dogma off limits and to attack the questioner as the moral equivalent of a racist.  It's a clever tactic, but like the dogma itself, it does not withstand logical evaluation.

Bigotry is bigotry BJ. You may have a tough time with that fact, but ask any employer that has ever had to deal with EOE laws, and you'll soon learn that prejudice against a person's race, ethnicity, or religion is straight up bigotry, and is prosecuted by law. In other words shut the hell up about what others believe. It only makes you look like a small minded snob. Why are you so damned intent on proving that God does not exist? What is your point? Are you trying to claim that you have some intellectual superiority. Because I have news for you my man, it only makes you look petty and mean spirited. Plus, you should be wise enough to know that that is an argument that you are far too little ever win. Billions of people on this planet get a very real sense of peace, and comfort from their own personal relationship with God, Jesus, Allah, etc.. The fact that that bothers you so much says much more about you then it does about the billions of people that do have faith in something larger than themselves.

Yes. Showing bigotry against someone's religion is just as egregious as showing contempt for race. That you choose to deny that, or can't see it, is pathetic. You grant yourself an excuse to pass judgement against someone simply becaue you don't believe in God. That is bigotry no matter how you slice it. I pity you.

The California man who opened fire last night outside the Pentagon was a property rights extremist who railed against the government's ability to "confiscate the resources of their citizens to fund schemes that need only be justified by lies and deception," and wanted to "eliminate the role of the government in education."

In a recorded manifesto called "Directions To Freedom", the audio of which he posted online in 2006, John Patrick Bedell, of Hollister, California, praised private property as "the most successful basis for structuring society that humanity has ever known."

"Communist and socialist governments that abolished or disregarded private property," said Bedell in the recording, "created poverty, repression and murder on a truly enormous scale." But, he continued, "Even in the United States, however, there has been a continual erosion of protection of private property justified by the belief that government is an efficient instrument for the positive direction of society."

Bedell added: "Governments lack the profit and loss incentives that individuals and private organizations must use..."

And he warned: "When governments are able to confiscate the resources of their citizens to fund schemes that need only be justified by lies and deception enormous disasters can result."

In a recorded manifesto called "Directions To Freedom", the audio of which he posted online in 2006, John Patrick Bedell, of Hollister, California, praised private property as "the most successful basis for structuring society that humanity has ever known."

Bedell shot two police officers last night during the rampage, before being mortally wounded himself.

As several other outlets have already reported, Bedell also wrote online postings that expressed skepticism about the official explanation for the 9/11 attacks. He wrote that he was "determined to see that justice is served" in the death of James Sabow -- a US Marine whose 1991 death was ruled a suicide but whose case has long been the source of cover-up theories, according to Fox News -- and that justice in the Sabow case would be "a step toward establishing the truth of events such as the September 11 demolitions."

Bottom line is that the guy was a nut. He was a diagnosed bipolar and manic depressive. My point isn't even what his crazed ideology was. The fact that he railed against the federal government would seem to suggest that he was a "right wing nut", however, he was also a 9/11 Truther which ia a decidely radical leftist mindset. See Charlie Sheen etc.

The thing is though that are many people, like funman, that would love to hang his actions on the fact that he was a Christian Tea Party attendee. Yet, funman can't explain the fact that well over 150,000 attended the National Tea Party in DC last year, and the only thing that the DC police chief would say was that there were zero arrests, and that all attendees behaved in a civil manner.

What's the point? The point is that the reason Democrats are about to become an endangered species this November is because a whole lot of people that heretofore had been paying little attention to politics are now active members of the Tea Party movement or have started to get very active locally. This is not good news at all for Democrats. Those that deny this are not watching the polls very closely, or are too emotionally invested in their own ideology to see the political reality that Obama has wrought upon his party. Exactly as I predicted on this thread well over a year ago, I might add. I have noticed it here in NJ big time. Hence we got Chris Christie. People that have never cared about politics are talking with my about it all the time now. They, of course, know that I am a political junkie. So far every one of them has told me that they are planning on voting against the Obama agenda.

These guys are just out of college, and are extremely fair to those they interview.
They are pro-HCR, but very mild mannered in their approach.
The tea baggers open up to them, that says something.

I probably would feel the same way, if the address was from a conservative site . . . .
