It was funny listening to Fax News call him a celebrity and talking about his American Ido contestant daughter ect, like it is a good thing, when not too long ago, they seemed to frown on it... On a fuuny note, did you hear his victory speech where he said he daughters were available... it was so awkward and uncomfrotable...  I hope dude finds his groove, Biden doesn't need the competition.

JC! My man! What's up fuckstick?! Fleabit Peanut Fucknut! Man it's been awhile, huh?

As much as it must pain you to hear the truth, I'm gonna spell it out for you.

Scott Brown won because he ran on a conservative platform. That's right big boy. He specifically ran on the notion that he would be the 41st vote. 41st vote on what? Well how about a health care plan that not one single congressman or woman had read. Hell, even Barry had no clue what was in it. Progressive statists, like yourself, probably liked the thought of the federal government taking over the health care industry. You're kinda slow like that, but most people saw it for exactly what it was, a huge government power grab. I mean when your having to but off votes like Benedict Nelson's of Nebraska, and another 300 million bucks for Mary Landrieu, and then the kicker, bribing off your biggest political donor union thugs with a 40% tax cut that nobody can get, well let's just say that Obama got got.

Conservatism, my man! That must kill you! Cap and Trade? DEAD!!! And even though you are too ideologically driven (or just stupid) to get it. That's going to be a good thing for you as well. See, FPM C-10, Cap and Trade would have drastically effected the cost of electricity, oil, natural gas, and basically everything else that relies on energy of any kind. In other words, Cap and Trade would have made everything from a head of lettuce to a gallon of gasoline go up massively. Estimates are that had Cap and Trade passed as proposed by Obummer, the average cost per household would have been anywhere between $2,700-$4,000 per year. It's all about helping the "little guy", don't ya know!!

Barry must hate the fact that his "instant voter bloc" is now going to remain illegal! Oh yes, that was the plan! Amnesty for all! Get 'em on the government tit and then suck 'em dry for votes! Pity that that won't be happening now that #41 is in town!

Obama is going down faster than Lewinsky on Bubba, and the reason is simple. He appeals to dolts like you, and dolts like you are in the distinct minority! If you have any doubts then I direct your attention to #41 from a state that has not elected a Republican senator since 1972! He won a seat that has been held by a Kennedy for over a half century!! The ultimate in Obama repudiation!

I don't know what makes me happier. Being proven right all along, or watching you being proven completely 100% wrong! Either way "progressivism" is dying on the vine in the good ol' US of A!!

Cap and trade is so bad, stopping things like acid rain... is there anything you guys believe in, that makes peoples lives better and makes the world better? Everything is about giving money and power to people who already have both in excess...

This just in............

*Drone Test Alert!*Drone Test Alert!*Drone Test Alert!*

For those of you you claim that you are not drones (you're just smarter than everyone else, right? LOL!)

This from the man who recently said:

" Yes! I WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG!!!!!!! Just like I said he would... I knew damned good and well ...That's not my opinion, mind you. That's a fact..."

Ad infinitum, ad nauseum. For YEARS.  To make it more nauseating, you've been wrong more than ANYONE, all the while bragging about how right you are.

OK, getting beyond the fact that YOU'RE smarter than everyone else, let's get down to your latest gem.

Riffhard wrote on Jan 22nd, 2010 at 10:22am:
Here's a little test.

This past Wednesday Obama told George Stephanopoulos on CBS News-

"The same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office.

People are angry, and they're frustrated. Not just because of what's happened in the last year or two years, but what's happened over the last eight years."

So here is your Drone Test. Is President Obama full of shit? A simple yes, or no will suffice.

Here's a link to the ENTIRE discussion.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/george/2010/01/transcript-george-stephanopoulos-exclusi...

Not surprisingly, you've seized on the same 2 sentences that every right-wing pundit with a blog has been beating to death since that interview. I missed the part where he blamed Bush. I think he was talking about the whole system.
But, is he full of shit? Yes, he's a politician, so of course he is.

BUT he said "Not JUST because of the last year or two". The word JUST is key. It seems to me that the sentence structure indicates not only him taking the blame, but the main part of it.

Riffhard wrote on Jan 22nd, 2010 at 10:22am:

Did the voters of Massachusetts really vote for Scott Brown because they are still mad at Bush? Or did they vote against the far left leanings of an out of control congress, and the far left ideology emanating from the White House?

Riffy

No, they voted for him because that picture of him in Cosmo showing his pubic hair drives them WILD. He drove his old Chevy truck into their hearts.

...

They also voted for him because his opponent was one of the most un-electable candidates I've ever seen. See, in these election thingies, folks only have so many choices. If I lived in Massachusetts I would've stayed home.

a DRONE would've voted D no matter what.

Now, hows about YOU take a drone test?  Let's say there's a guy who doesn't have the most experience, in fact seems to be getting by on his good looks, who comes out of nowhere and wins an election.  Two weeks before, you didn't know who he was. NOW, however, based on your idea of what you assume he's going to do, you're singing "Happy Days Are Here Again".

How about looking at it this way:

A state senator who posed nude ... oh, hell, do we even need to go any further? Yeah, I know Al Franken did it too - but he was a comedian...

On the basis of Sen. Hunk getting elected, you immediately see:

The Obama/Pelosi/Reid government health care takeover? Dead!

Cap and Trade? Dead!

Union card check? Dead!

Immigration reform (err amnesty...)? Dead!

Obama lost last night in Massachusetts. The country won!

Massachusetts I said!!!!!

The only president who has crashed and burned faster than this clown was William Henry Harrison!! LOL!

"We have given you a Republic, if you can keep it."- Benjamin Franklin.

The good people of Massachusetts went a long way in doing just that last night.

Here's to you Massachusetts! Raise a glass to the USA!

You know all of this on the basis of ...what? The R after his name? So he's NOT going to vote according to what his STATE wants, as he was elected to do, but on the basis of what his PARTY wants him to do? He makes it possible for the Republicans to filibuster EVERYTHING, and you're certain that he's in lock-step with you, so you're (as usual) dancing around calling people names.

What things have boiled down to seems to be this:  The Republicans will block EVERYTHING the President wants to do, in order to regain power. At which point the Democrats will block everything the Republicans want. At which point (if we're not there already) the country will grind to a halt.

And this, to you, equals "Happy Days Are Here Again".

So who's the idealogue? Who's the partisan?

Who's the DRONE?

...

You never disappoint JC !!

I think you got your pics switched.

Wasn't this supposed to be the sexy man?

Hey, look.  I've known him for some years now.  Lives in the next town over.  He's a small town guy thrust onto a large town stage.  He was probably giddy, nervous, shit happens.  Just beat an Irish Democrat in a state where she had a 30 point lead, where Dems outnumber GOP 3 to 1.    Did he act like he'd been there before, no.  He acted like the guy in his small town, who was spoeaking to a 30m person Rotary meeting in a room full of young guys.  During the race, his daughter put on the gloves & took on Chokely about her negative ads.  She's a tough 20yr old college student.  She's a hoop player for BC.  She's now signing for James Montgomery Blues Band.  She got 1500 ask outs, dozens of texts.  If folks are going to get their undies in a bunch, go right ahead.  He's not out to impress you or others.  Don't take that as a salvo towards you.  He's still the same guy who takes his trash out, mows his own lawn, has breakfast @ Nicky's everyday, runs 5 miles a day.  He's a Lt Col in The National Guard, in charge of a lawyer division in his command.  He is the judge on affairs when the troops are in the field.  The guy has a successful law practice, is a stand up family guy.  Does he wish he could take back that statement, probably.  We all make those statements sometimes.  Will it bother him, he was over it the next day after his daughter bitch slapped him about it.  Summary, she gets more notoriety for her new cd coming out, he's still the tie breaking senator who won the greatest underdog race in American politics, as well as changed the course of Obama's presidency for good, as well will have a great effect on each race from now until '12..  I think Scott Brown & America will be just fine.

change is what happens after you elect someone, who hopefully does their job... I used to get frustrated debating with you guys b/c you like to move the goal posts, now you guys just claim win before anything happens... I dig the optimism, but to call the future, is just kinda weird... the only power gained by repubs now, is to not do anything, by filibusters... is that how it is spelled? anyway... that's not change, that's prevention... let's just be clear, if you actually present any solutions regarding healthcare access for millions who have none or a way to stop the out of control spending on contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan, which you guys supported all along, real fiscal... I'm all ears... until then all I hear from you guys is compaints and hate... no solutions for a thing... last solution you guys had was war and cutting taxes for people who didn't need it...

I didn't ask for his resume, I just thought it was funny and uncomfortable to watch.
You think he changed the course of Obama's presidency... You know this how? Then again Obama's done nothing and completely destroyed America too...  what was it I heard him called... Adolf Carter... that was hysterical... isn't that how he's painted by right wind pundits...

Uh, it's worldwide news that this election changed everything.  Millions of people around the world know this.  Sorry to bore you with topical information.  I truly mean that.  Time for me to leave this thread for a while, as the real world is calling.

change is what happens after you elect someone, who hopefully does their job...

Hey, let's not make this a all sizes are the same person matter.  I'm an independent & a equal opportunity-party basher.  OK.  Start from scratch.  Yes, health care is a great idea.  Yes, it should happen.  Should it be that nine states have to get kickbacks & handouts when 41 others get nothing?  Should it be without bi-partisan debate?  No.  That's what Scott Brown ran on & won on.  That's what millions in this state & in VA & in NJ are saying with their ballots, by voting out the Dems.  Study the demographic for voting, indy's are voting against Obama in droves.  That's what is happening.   To that end, let's see something without built in pork happen for healthcare.  No million dollar handouts for Louisiana without the same for the other 49.  No lifetime taking care of Nebraska employees of Mutual of Omaha without something similar for the other 49 state..  Let's not see Pelosi up there still thinking this is November of 08 & they are bullet proof, for if the past year has shown anything, people now are quicker than ever to use the ballot box to change their representation to whoever does not represent old skool politics.

If you have any doubts then I direct your attention to #41 from a state that has not elected a Republican senator since 1972! He won a seat that has been held by a Kennedy for over a half century!! The ultimate in Obama repudiation!

Not a word for my argument, Riffy?  Sure, lots of Christians are decent folks, just as most Muslims, Jews, Buddhists and atheists.  Some in every group are scoundrels.  Human goodness is an evolutionary trait; religion is a cultural artifact of a more primitive time.  Why do decent, intelligent people still subscribe to it?  For some, it is simpler to go along to get along.  For others, it is mere fidelity to tradition.  For many, religion serves as consolation for the vicissitudes of life.  For those, it is not stupidity but emotional immaturity that binds them to belief in an all-powerful father.  It is not a belief that withstands analysis, so many choose not to analyze it.  You are free to join them.

I'm not going to argue the virtues of faith, and certainly not the Christian faith with someone who so openly ridicules me for that very faith! To be so cocksure of yourself about what you perceive as some emotional immaturity is more than a little condescending, and frankly, incredibly arrogant. Whether you like it or not millions of people DO have a personal relationship with Christ, and it sustains them through many difficult times. That you would not understand that fact comes as no surprise to me. You have no faith in anything that you can not prove with science. If that works for you so be it. However, I'd like to ask you a question. Where did the very first atom come from? Kind of a chicken or the egg analogy, huh? That's a question that you can not ever know. Nor will any scientist be able to answer it. God knows though, and He ain't telling the likes of you, or me.

This is more about some asshole that continually gets his rocks off by slamming people's Christian faith. Note that not one Christian here is trying to talk him into anything as radical as going to church or anything. Yet, he harps on, and on, and on......... I am just just curious as to why he won't come on here and say, oh I don't know, something along the lines of, "Jews are big nosed morons that are robbing us blind to feed their Jew greed!" Why won't he say something like that? Why not say, "Muslims are dumbfucks for believing in this so called Allah bastard!" Or how about, "Buddhists?! What's up with those stupid freaks?!"

Do you see my point BJ? He is being a god damned bigot, plain and simple!!! And his bigotry tends to come down squarely on Christians. He equates them as redneck, backwoods, Bible thumping rubes who are too stupid to see the folly of their "immature" belief in some old fashioned religion. He knows nothing of true Christians. He's merely spouting off his insane arrogant "progressive" views of Christians. It's almost laughable, but it's wearing very thin. Like I said, he's a bigot, and he can go fuck himself for all I care.

Riffy

Riffy,
If I told you I had a personal relationship with Zeus or Quetzalcoatl (two other "gods" who never existed) or Julius Caesar (another guy who's been dead for 2,000 years), I hope that you'd have the guts to tell me I was nuts (considering you have no trouble doing that to people whose positions actually make sense).  Your "personal relationship" with another long-dead guy whose name you can't even get right (There was never a human being named "Jesus Christ," at least outside this board; the historical figure now referred to as "Jesus" was actually named Yeheshua [Joshua]) is equally delusional.

Consider the case of your grandfather, by your account a great man who did good things for many people and who was beloved therefor.  He believed, you tell me, that his goodness came not from himself but from God through Jesus.  If he was in fact a doctrinaire Christian, as I do not doubt, he also believed that he was born a depraved sinner and that only the blood sacrifice of the half man-half god Jesus redeemed him.  You suggest that by denying the truth of his belief, I am dishonoring him and denying his good works.  I say the opposite is true.  Christianity, by claiming your grandfather's innate goodness as a product of its own doctrine and practice rather than his essential nature, dishonored this honorable man.

Consider this analogy.  A wise man in ancient Greece (Socrates, for example) sincerely believes that whatever wisdom he possesses is a gift from the goddess Athena.  We do not deny the wisdom of Socrates by denying the existence of Athena, do we?

As for the "first atom" argument, it is really too silly to think about.  What you are suggesting is that the very simplest form of matter (a hydrogen atom) cannot arise from "nothing" (or from some process such as the Big Bang), but that a fully-formed, self-aware, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent Being can arise from nothing?  That seems to me a much more ambitiously far-fetched claim.  That argument is typically characterized in academic circles as "turtles all the way down" from the ancient Hindu cosmology that placed the earth on the back of an elephant who in turn stands on the back of a turtle.  The answer, if anyone asks "What does the turtle stand on?," is "It's turtles all the way down."  Of course, refusal to hold themselves to the same standard of proof they wish to impose on the scientifically minded is a common ploy of religious apologists.  Howe many scientists still believe this god myth?  Seriously, Riffy, take a break from the Mark Levin and read The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.

is this one of those yearning for the good ole days that never really existed... if you ain't going forward in life, you're dead! There's a biblical term you might like Riffy, faith without works is dead. In other words, if you aren't moving forward, you're done... this is true in life as a whole... not just a spiritual path...

I think that is pretty much guarenteed... sadly, and I hope not, but if the USA suffers an attack again, it will be a sure thing... now if he provingly prevents an attack... and pulls us from the brink of financial collapse... but that stuff only happens in movies.

Oh you wacky conservatives:
NEW ORLEANS – A hero of conservatives who bruised the liberal group ACORN by posing as a pimp on hidden camera is now accused in an attempt to tamper with phone lines at Democratic U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu's office inside a federal building.

It's not clear what James O'Keefe, 25, and three other young conservatives were trying to accomplish Monday at the New Orleans office of Landrieu, who has been criticized for securing more Medicaid benefits for her state in exchange for her support on health care legislation.

State Democrats quickly called the alleged plot a "Louisiana Watergate," but federal officials have not yet said why the men wanted to interfere with Landrieu's phones, whether they were successful, or even if the goal was political espionage.

A staff member in the office told the FBI that two of the suspects, including the son of an acting U.S. Attorney, wore white hard harts, tool belts and flourescent vests and said they needed to fix a problem with the phone system.

According to an FBI affidavit, O'Keefe was already sitting in the waiting area and recorded the men on his cell phone when they walked in.

A federal law enforcement official said one of the suspects was picked up in a car a couple of blocks away with a listening device that could pick up transmissions. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the information was not part of the FBI affidavit.

O'Keefe said only "veritas," Latin for truth, as he left jail Tuesday with suspects Stan Dai and Joseph Basel, both 24. All declined to comment.

As he got into a cab outside the jail, O'Keefe said, "The truth shall set me free."

The fourth suspect, Robert Flanagan, 24, was released earlier Tuesday. His father, Bill, is the acting U.S. Attorney based in Shreveport. He was first assistant under Republican President George W. Bush appointee Donald Washington before Washington stepped down this month. President Barack Obama recently nominated Stephanie A. Finley for the post. His father's office declined to comment.

All four suspects were charged with entering federal property under false pretenses for the purpose of committing a felony, which carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Flanagan is the only suspect from Louisiana. Basel is from Minnesota; O'Keefe, New Jersey; and Dai, the D.C.-Virginia area.

"It was poor judgment," Flanagan's lawyer, Garrison Jordan, said in a brief interview outside the courtroom. "I don't think there was any intent or motive to commit a crime."

Flanagan recently criticized Landrieu for her vote on the Senate health care bill after securing a Medicaid provision estimated in value at up to $365 million for Louisiana. Conservatives accused her of selling her vote but she insisted no "special deals" were made.

"Do not be fooled into believing Landrieu is helping the state of Louisiana," Flanagan wrote in a Nov. 25 post on the Web site for the Pelican Institute, a Louisiana think tank that promotes the free market and limited government. "If the proposed healthcare legislation were to be signed into law, the $300 million allocated to Louisiana will pale in comparison to the long-term debt Louisiana citizens will ultimately shoulder."

Dai, who authorities said was arrested outside the building, is a former assistant director of a program at Trinity Washington University that taught students about careers in intelligence, university president Patricia McGuire said.

The program was part of a national effort following the Sept. 11 attacks to interest students at liberal arts colleges in careers as spies. McGuire said Dai was an administrator and that the program did not teach spy craft. He was also active in the conservative newspaper and other organizations at George Washington University.

O'Keefe and Basel were also active in conservative publications at their respective colleges, Rutgers University and the University of Minnesota-Morris. They gave a joint interview Jan. 14 to CampusReform.org, a Web site that supports college conservatives on student publications.

The allegations quickly prompted outrage from Democrats and claims of vindication at ACORN, which lost its affiliation with the U.S. Census Bureau and federal funding after the uproar over O'Keefe's videos.

Landrieu, who was in Washington at the time, said in a statement Tuesday that the plot was "unsettling" for her and her staff. She said she looked forward to the investigation to learn their motives.

O'Keefe's arrest "is further evidence of his disregard for the law in pursuit of his extremist agenda," ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis said in a statement. The organization's Twitter feed commented on the news: "Couldn't have happened to a more deserving soul."

O'Keefe managed to do what Republicans had been trying to for years: hurt the political affiliates of ACORN, which have registered hundreds of thousands of voters in urban and other poor areas of the country.

Using a hidden camera, O'Keefe, posing as a pimp and accompanied by a young woman posing as a prostitute, shot videos in ACORN offices where staffers appeared to offer illegal tax advice and to support the misuse of public funds and illegal trafficking in children.

The videos were first posted on biggovernment.com, a site run by conservative Andrew Breitbart. In the past, Breitbart has said O'Keefe — now a paid contributor to biggovernment.com — is an independent filmmaker, not an employee.

In a statement e-mailed to The Associated Press, Breitbart said: "We have no knowledge about or connection to any alleged acts and events involving James O'Keefe at Senator Mary Landrieu's office. We only just learned about the alleged incident this afternoon. We have no information other than what has been reported publicly by the press. Accordingly, we simply are not in a position to make any further comment."

O'Keefe's father, James O'Keefe, Jr., of Westwood, N.J., said he hasn't spoken to his son in several days and didn't know he traveled to New Orleans, let alone why he went to Landrieu's office.

"That would not be something that I can even imagine him doing," he said of the allegations against his son. "I think this is going to be blown out of proportion."

O'Keefe said his son travels frequently for speaking engagements.

"He's a good kid," he said. "He's a very talented, very creative creative guy."
