The Democrat leadership in Congress, and the affable but largely ineffective Obama have only increased the anxiety and agitation of the American electorate - as seen by the historic low polling of Congress and Obama, who is polling lower than any other modern era president at this point in their first term...

Ah yes; lies, damned lies and statistics.  Let's analyze these poll results for a moment.  Why is it that support for health care reform seems to be diminishing?  Could it be because, in its efforts to satisfy the Liebermans and Nelsons and other obstructionists, the Senate has produced a bill no one could love?  I would agree that polls show that only 33% of likely voters favor a health care plan without a public option.  Such an insurance-company-friendly bill draws support from 37% of Democrats, 30% of Republicans and 31% of independents.  Put the public option and Medicare buy-in back into the bill, however, and support jumps to 58%.  That includes only 22% of Republicans, but 57% of independents and 88% (!) of Democrats.  So, what the American people support is real health care reform with a viable public option.  What we oppose is a giveaway to the insurance companies.  

This reactionary effort to mischaracterize the growing opposition to watered-down "reform" as opposition to "Obamacare" is not surprising.  They tried the same ploy by gutting the major cost control provisions of the bill and then complaining that it is too expensive.  No real shock for those of us who are paying attention.

Yes, the far left is just as upset at this healthcare fiasco as are conservatives and independents.

Thus, further proof that this group of Democrat leaders in both the White House and Congress have no clue as to what they are doing.

70% of liberals still think passing something is better than nothing.

80% of conservatives feel just the opposite as well as 54% of moderates.

Thus, the decline still remains strongest from the political middle and right of America - the same segment that decides elections.

This trending is also reflected in two-thirds of Americans indicating they want smaller government with fewer services and lower taxes.

Republicans now hold a 7 point margin over Democrats in the Generic Ballot.

Obama's own approval index has now dropped to 45%, with 53% dissaproval.


The current crop of Democrat leaders is driving their party off of the cliff...
