Thank you, mojoman. It's nice that you brought back a lighter note , very clever! It sort of reminds you of why we're all here in the first place, doesn't it? The music. Even when it is awful. So why not simply agree to disagree? Why not accept and still be able to communicate about other stuff, and respect the other person's opinion, no matter how stupid the other person's position is? It's called "tolerance", and we have all forgotten how to be tolerant. And once anyone starts to use terms like "douche-bag", then it's all over anyway. It's far easier when they're on tour, I know. But this place is developing some really bad karma lately, it's not nice. And it's spreading into other threads, well, you all know what I mean. I call for an immediate, total, unreserved and lasting political armistice.
I remember the time when I used to come to Rocks Off cause it was a fun place. I wish it was like that again. At the moment it's like being at someone's wake.

Anyway, that's just my last two pennies about the matter, no offense intended, and I hope that I have earned the right to voice an opinion around here. And I don't intend to post again on this thread. Good luck.

The progressive movement has been abused, misrepresented and marginalized for 40 years now and we've had to sit by, like strangled Cassandras, and watch as the conservative agenda has ruined the environment, denied global warming, destroyed our public education system, continued to thwart meaningful healthcare reform, bankrupt our economy, waged unilateral war, subvert foreign democracies, chipped away at our and others' human and civil rights, allowed our infrastructure to crumble, irresponsibly cut taxes and even more recklessly spent us into penury. I'm sure I've left a few things out, but you get the picture.
