Riffy, I don't think Limbaughs/Becks ratings were low when the Dems won in 2006 and 2008...

You're absolutely right Pdog. But this David Frum moron is trying to imply that Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Levin, etc. are driving people away from the conservative point of view. The facts prove the exact opposite. Their ratings are growing massively. As are the sale of conservative books. These book sales are going through the roof. Next time you go into a Barnes & Noble take a look at how many conservative books are on the shelves these days. Michelle Malkin, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, and other conservative authors have been selling books in the millions, Levin in particular. Then add the Town hall meetings and the millions of Americans who turned up there, and the independent Tea Parties, culminating with the DC event, which contrary to MSM reports, attracted over one million people.

The writing is on the wall, and as all of these efforts are coalescing so too are Dems numbers dropping, Obama's numbers are dropping daily in fact. We shall see, but speaking from a personal point of view I can tell you that many people that I know who voted for Obama are having a serious case of buyer's remorse. If I am having people come up to me, personally, and saying these things then I know full well that there is something afoot on a national level, and the numbers and trends are backing that up hunch up.

Not good, but that is more indicative of the poll numbers for almost every incumbant anyway. Look at Reid's numbers in Nevada. He's done. Nationally there isn't a pol half as despised as Pelosi. However, as Pelosi's district is San Fran her seat is safe, but her speakership is toast. My point is that there is, indeed, a conservative tide rising, and if the Republicans can actually field some strong candidates that taps into the overwhelming national frustration, while at the same time making people feel good about the USA again, ala Ronaldus Magnus Reagan, then the Republicans will have a very real shot at kicking the worst president in history to the curb in 2012. Let's see how 2010 plays out, but even Democrat strategists are saying that it's not a matter of whether or not the Republicans pick up House and Senate seats, but rather how many will they pick up. If the housing numbers and unemployment numbers continue to shit the bed (as most economists now predict), I'd bet that a replay of 1994 is right around the corner.

What many liberals either refuse to see, or are willfully ignorant of, is that this country is still a center right country. Every single poll shows that fact, and the hard core far left lurching of this president, and congress is upsetting to many people. Some can deny that all they want, but the wake up call is coming sooner than many liberals would like to believe, but coming it is.

From Sullivan:

A Neocon Panic -

It must drive them nuts to see a clear, if limited, victory for a strategy that is diametrically opposed to their own. Their ideology being discredited by events, and so they characteristically fall back into blind fits of intransigence, like screaming, foot-stomping children.

That Goldberg emailer fails to see what has happened. Obama has known about this facility from day one. At Cairo, he reached out the Muslim world, undermining the Iranian regime's ability to engage in arm-waving, fear-mongering anti-Americanism.  He built himself a triumvirate with Brown and Sarkozy, who actually have an intelligence presence in Iran.  He used that presence to build an airtight case.  He cut a deal with the Russians.  He reached out to Iran, knowing that they would likely reject or ignore his overtures.  Then, when Ahmadinejad comes to New York, having to face Western journalists, Obama announces the the existence of the Qom facility, turning the spotlight on Iran when they are unable to hide behind state-controlled media.  Obama, cool and calm, pulled off a near-perfect diplomatic pincer.

Finally, after years, we're starting to get somewhere with no threats and no bombs. Like I said, it must drive the neocons nuts. Obama did in eight months what George Bush couldn't do in eight years.  How long do you think it will take for Krauthammer find a way to twist this victory into an accusation of naivete?

We know where the naivete exists: among the neocons who predicted an easy, quick victory in Iraq, a country they assured us had no real sectarian tension. I take full responsibility for believing them. But I learned something which they apparently haven't: their claims of hard-headedness are delusional. They don't actually know how the world works. Obama, it seems, may have a better grip.

Funman I put about as much stock in an article written by Andrew Sullivan as you would if I were to post an article from Ann Coulter. That's why his interview of Frum is so laughable. Let Sullivan interview a true conservative, someone like Levin for example? Levin would shred him with indisputable facts, and historical references to back up his argument. Good ol' Sully would be left with nothing but liberal talking points to fall back on.

I'll put my favorite Brit political pundit, Mark Steyn, up against Andrew Sullivan any day of the week.

It just dawned on me. I wonder if Chris Matthews, Keith Olberfuck, or Rachel Mancow are going to report the violence from the hard left freaks that have done hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage to private property in Pittsburgh? Or will they comment on the violence that has been all over the streets of that fair city? Anyone want to bet that they won't go near that story?

I remember when the DC Tea Party happened there was the DC Chief of Police on CNN and he was asked how large the crowd was. He said, and I quote,"Well, I can't answer that with any specificity, but the only number we are concerned about are the numbers of arrests." To which the CNN reporterette asked, "And cheif how are those numbers shaking out?", "Zero, and no violence either." Seems to me that the violence that every liberal media type is worried about is coming from their own camp. Over one million conservative average Americans on the Mall in DC, and not a single arrest. Compare that to the damage that a bunch spoiled rotten brats do to a city rioting against the very capitalism that paid for their airfare to Pitt so they could destroy it! But we gotta watch those Tea Party goers, right?! LOL!

I wonder if Olberfuck would dare mention the double standard that he just loves to perpetrate? LOL!

Obama's all about helping the little guy, huh?

Gore-Backed Car Firm Gets Large U.S. Loan

WASHINGTON -- A tiny car company backed by former Vice President Al Gore has just gotten a $529 million U.S. government loan to help build a hybrid sports car in Finland that will sell for about $89,000.

The award this week to California startup Fisker Automotive Inc. follows a $465 million government loan to Tesla Motors Inc., purveyors of a $109,000 British-built electric Roadster. Tesla is a California startup focusing on all-electric vehicles, with a number of celebrity endorsements that is backed by investors that have contributed to Democratic campaigns.

Fisker's Karma hybrid sports car, above, will initially cost about $89,000.
The awards to Fisker and Tesla have prompted concern from companies that have had their bids for loans rejected, and criticism from groups that question why vehicles aimed at the wealthiest customers are getting loans subsidized by taxpayers.

Those are pretty puny numbers if you wanna really penetrate the zeitgeist. You'll have to do better or your revolution that's coming will only be televised on FOX.

Oh I see. It's all about the zeitgeist, huh?

Well my man, it's high time you woke up and smelled the zeitgeist!

Best protest ever!

I know people that are in this evangelical "sub-culture".
It's larger that one would think and has many well known sports figures.

Sometimes I think that it is like a drug addiction for them.

From what I have seen he is correct about them rejecting facts as a matter of faith.
The bigger the denial, the stronger the faith . . .

Very good people too... but when you start to talk to them, as I do with my neighbors, they can get really weird about things like other religions.... I just had my wonderful neighbor, yelling at me, not personally, when she was talking about Kaye Bailey hutchinsons adoptions... She got so excited, anyone who would've been a fly on the wall, would've thought she was mad at me for adopting two black kids, then she was upset about religious exposure in the public schools on any level, which I thought was sane, but it is b/c she has no respect for other religions at all... She is not unlike the Athiest who denies Christians, she is just the christian that denies a Hindu...
See what I don't get, is why these evangelicals, want something evil to appear? They are waiting around, making a pretty pathetic existence, waiting for this evil to take over, end the world and then... Faith is a great thing, but faith in this, is not healthy. Spending your life, denying yourself all the gifts life has to offer, waiting for god to save you, is not a sane form of beleif in a creative intelligence, god, creative force, the universe, nature ect.... especially, when your beleif spends most it's effort and energy denying the faiths of others!!!! This sets into action functions of the brain and behaviours that have been proven to be unhealthy and negative, no matter how well people try to cloak all the supposed good and charity they think they do....
