The very thing, Obama is being projected to do as president, is the very thing Bush did for his forst 6 yrs, with a Republican Congress!
Govt. got bigger... Socialized... and the Constitutional rights we take for granted have been reduced.
So if Obama and The Democrats are going to do the same thing, what is the Republican argument?
We don't get to do it anymore, and that makes you dumb!
Great argument!

Today from the WND commentary page. Talk about throwing everything but the kitchen sink.

You cannot be a Christian and vote for Obama

How's that for a little "religious persuation"?  Grin

nothing impressed me more  in the debates here for president, than the overwhelming hatred for Obama the the undivided support for the Republican VP pick. Is it really a surprise , why my prediction, Texas is going to even be close, is coming true?

What the fuck does any of this have to do with George Walker Bush III?  Please focus, if you can.  There are only a few more months left.

If McCain ran against Bush and vetted his VP pick, he would be winning right now.

What really sucks is that, for various reasons - some his fault, most not - McCain will have lost to (1) a complete retard and (2) whatever Obama turns out to be, which will likely be what he is now - a self-important, hot air balloon that is all talk and little, if any, work.

Its frustrating.  It really is.  America would have been very well served by John McCain over the last 8 years, especially given that the current president is an easily predictable fatheaded socialist.  And John McCain would do a great job now, when you need someone to actually sit the fuck down, open up a file, start reading, and figure some problems out.  That's not even in the Obama playbook.

Well it looks like Obama will be the "First Black President", for good or ill, maybe things will work out. I don't really expect Obama intended to win. It was just a fluke. Some one upstairs is looking out for us......................maybe.

Anyway .... African-America gave us the blues...so I can't begrude 'em an election.

well if he's on the record as saying all these things  then you can hardly say he has a hidden agenda - looks like he's doing it in the road to me - maybe ,if the polls ae correct, the people aer prepared to see what it will bring

SIA this argument completely ignores the hard left media bias that is currently in effect. Did you even read the link abcnews.com? That guy is a 30 some odd year veteran of journalism and he admits that he is ashamed to admit that he's a journalist. The bias has been insane, and the negative stories have been so buried by the main stream media that any mention of these concerns is met with derision, and scorn. Some Obamadrones claim that the talk about Ayers, Wright, Chicago Annenberg Challenge.....are just conspiracy theories! So complete is the bias that the media has successfully sold the general public a picture of Barry that is totally lacking in any objectivity or scrutiny. Sure Barack may well have stated publicly that he supports, "Wealth redistribution","financial parity", and "spreading the wealth around", but when those quotes are treated as nothing more than the McCain campaign's "grasping at straws", "politics of personal destruction", or "typical last minute partisan politics" then the burden of proof lands at the feet of John McCain and not at the feet of the man who actually made these insane comments. That is just what the media wants! The old adage about a tree falling in the forest comes to mind here. If a candidate admits that he wants to enact the most radical fer left socialist policies and the media refuses to cover it then did he really say it?

Quote:
one point you should take on board re taxes and "socialism" is this - e.g. i am self employed and I pay taxes - part of those taxes are used to support peple by way of unemployment benefits who can't get a job - whether through lack of opportunity, sickness  or sheer laziness or some point in between

Again SIA this argument holds no water. In the USA we have a progressive tax system already in place. The more you make the more you pay. I have no real problem with this. I also have no problem helping those in need. However, it should not be up to a big centralized federal government to decide who needs help, and how much of my money should be taken in the name of "financial parity". That is flat out socialism, and redistribution of wealth. Obama has already openly discussed federally funded abortions for underprivileged mothers! Are you fucking kidding me?! What about the tax payers that have strong religious values that prohibit them from supporting abortions? Are those religious principles to be ignored for the "collective good?!" As it stands conservatives voluntarily give roughly three times the amount that liberals give to charity! That is just a fact. Biden made over two and half million in the last five years. Do you know how much he gave to charity? Less than four grand!!! Now he and The Marxist One want to impose their "spread the wealth around" policies on everyone that works hard to support their own families?! Fuck that socialist horseshit!

Quote:
now i am happy for this to  happen - not because I get some warm fuzzy feeling that i am helping to support my fellow australians less fortunate than I am ( the "socialist" view)   - no not all - there's nothing altruistic about it at all - it is an insurance policy  of sorts - if the unemployed are given a few crumbs to keep them from starving then they won't be breaking into my house to steal my stuff so they can eat/score drugs or whatever - that is purely self interest at work  -

As it stands we support over 12 millions illegal immigrants in this country with free hospital visits, and the ridiculous "anchor baby" policy. The amount of money that we are already pissing away on people who are not even close to protected under our constitution is growing exponentially every single day. Obama wants to grow that number larger still and use his socialist programs to buy more power, and more votes. Hello ACORN! Everyone who is even slightly honest about know whats going on here. I ain't buying SIA. I know this man. I know what he wants. The Obamadrones could care less, but mark my words I will be saying "I told you so". We are about to sell personal liberty right down the river to a snake oil salesman who has managed to convince, with the help from his accomplices in the media, a very misinformed and ignorant electorate that he cares. He doesn't care for shit about those that claims to care for! He just wants to use them in the acquisition of more and more power. Only when the economy is totally in the tank, and the damage has already been done will the drones see what they have wrought. By then the damage will be done and it will take years to undo. His own words betray him and they dismissed outright by the media, and by those too stupid to understand what he is saying. If that offends some here then so be it. It's true.

"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully," the Democratic presidential candidate wrote in his memoir, "Dreams From My Father." "The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists."

Barack Obama

This quote, of course, means nothing to the Obamadrones. Nothing will shake them friom their trance like devotion to Obama. Be proud drones! Be very proud!

Conjo, conjo, conjo, I can't stand the guy, but that quote means nothing to me either.  Why is it important who he chose to make friends with in college (I assume that passage refers to college years)?  Hyper blacks and "Chicanos" (nobody but posers ever used that term, btw) are way more interesting to hang out with than the pre-loaded prep school twits I met dozens of in college.  At least I thought they were, and I ain't no goddam Marxinalistic!

What you should be doing, Riffy, is helping me compile the Bush Geek humiliation list.  That is where your time would be much better spent, atonalistically speaking.  Shades of Leviticus.

Riffy

It's the difference between being open minded or not... That's why a McCain supporter won't care, like you, and why someone who hates Obama and loves Bush, can't understand! You can read alot and get all smart, and still have zero common sense!
Someone might as well say, if you hungout with punk rockers like Iggy Pop. Johnny Rotten, Joey Ramone and Joe Strummer, that means you're all fucked up now for doing it.

When I was all fucked up, I hungout with the smart nice kids, who went to college and went on to be highly succesful and I went downhill... Um... I guess I made them make right choices! Maybe they helped me in the long run? I can't think like that, it might be Marxist!
