Back to the topic at hand. The health care bill is crap, and it's running in to problems all over the country. It's pretty funny to hear the WH, and Axelrod in particular, try and dismiss the protesters as "astroturf protesters". Pelosi has equated us to Nazis. This seems to be a liberal tactic long used by the unhinged Leftists. Isn't that right JC?

It's funny because to date the only side that has sent out any missives, or any e-mails rallying the troops is the White House itself! These Marxists (and YES, they are Marxists!) are accusing those of us that are not at all happy with this government power grab are "angry mobs", and the like. So what does White House deputy chief of staff Jim Messina have to say to his own hired mob? “If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard” Good little brownshirt, huh?

They know damned good and well that they have a looser on their hands, but they are not ready to lessen their grip on power. And make no mistake, this is nothing less than a massive power grab and the largest exspansion of government in US history. Why is that these Democrats in congress are not willing to accpet this plan for their own families? No, they aren't going to have to live with it, but they insist that we do! That doesn't strike any of you liberals as a bit odd? Even Obama himself has said right up front that he hasn't read the bill! The bill that he is trying to ram down everyone's throats is a bill that he hasn't even read! On page 68 of the bill it says that the federal government will be able to reach into your personal bank accounts in order to pay for a health care plan that you can't even cast a vote on!!! Does that sound even slightly like America to you??!?!?! Now Barry, and his minions, is going to be able to access your personal checking account!!! Great plan, huh drones?!?!?!?! As I said in an earlier post. You libs will not be in power forever (even though that is the ultimate goal for this bill), and when you loose power all the power that you are handing over to Barry Co. will be in the hands of the Republicans. Are you ready to trust them with your health care plan? Why would you?! Your medical choices should remain between you, your family members, and your doctor, not some nameless faceless bureaucrat in Washington. Can any of liberals honestly tell me that if your child or elderly parent, or even yourself, were in dire need of emergency medical attention, and exspensive medications that you would rather have a politician deciding if it was "cost effective" to grant you the needed treatment or meds? Because in every single country where socialized health care is in place those desicissions are by being made by people in those governements who don't even know the patient in question. You're okay with that?!

You people that think that this plan is the answer are delusional. Not one of you has read this 1,017 page bill, yet you're ready to just trust Obama! Yes, we need health care reform, but not some grand socialist experiment that has never worked anywhere it's been tried. To you supporters of this I ask you this. Do you guys really want to just trust the government to get it right? Are you so unhappy with the health coverage that you already get that you are ready to hand the choices over to the same government that has already bankrupted Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security?! You think that they can expand government and by some miracle give us all better coverage, and save money at the same time? You're nuts if you think like that.

Wake up! Your government is trying to steal your liberty! That is NOT hyberbole either! Only a blind leftist would think so.

You, and I, have proven that you, and those like you, are elitests that have no tolerance whatsoever for people of faith.  And who said that I was a religious person anyway? I just don't disbarrage people of faith. You do. Thank you for your continued support!

Huh, Pdog, I never claimed that I had read the entire bill! I have read portions of it that even dear leader Obama hasn't read though apparently. I also know that John Conyers (D-Mich) has claimed that it's basically pointless to read the bill anyway! Why should he bothered to read a bil that will affect every single man, woman, and child in the country?! He knows all he needs to know. He will get much more control! Yippee!

Trust no, it is just awesome watching the tables turn , and seeing you spin out on something, that a few years ago, you supported legislation that was written the same way... you are even using the same argument that was used against that, almost verbatum. It's awesome to watch the hypocisy from both sides. You even criticize the Afganistan now. You talk about US deaths and struggles there, but when it was Bush, no mention of setbacks or casualties, without the context of fully supporting our troops. A 180 turn. The only thing that hasn't changed is the passion of hate you display towards anyone who thinks different or feels different than you do...

Pdog you are trying to suggest that I am being two faced here, I guess? Well you could not be more wrong! This bill, unlike any bill that Bush, or any other president in US history has passed or attempted to pass, will increase the size and power of the federal government to something that is completely antithetical to everything that our counttry was founded on! This is the exact kind of legislation that the Founding Fathers warned us about over, and over, and over again!!! It is the single largest exspansion of government control ever. It's not even close! Do you get it?!?! This ain't about partisanship with me Pdog! I don't want either Dems or Repubs deciding my health care options! I want to leave those choices to myself, my family members, and my doctor. Period!!!

As for my criticism of what's happening in Afghanistan. You've got me wrong here boy-o. I am not critical of the war, or the effort. In fact I wholly support it. I AM critical of the complete double standard that leftists are so blatantly guilty of. If this horrible month in Afghanistan had happened during Bush's term Olberfuck, Matthews, and the rest of the Barry blowing media would have cruixified him. Since Barry has taken office there is suddenly no clamoring for photos of caskets returning home. There are no mass protests in the streets with pictures of Obama sporting a Hitler stash. No, I was merely pointing out the hypocisy. Again.

What's new in the news today?

Here--->SUMMER '09...
White House to Dems: 'Punch back twice as hard'...
TOWN HALLS TURN VIOLENT...
VIDEO: UNION THUGS UNLEASHED...
PHOTOS...
6 arrested after St. Louis meeting...
VIDEO...
Physicians jam meeting in Houston: 'Don't want socialized medicine'...
Tempers flare in Michigan...
PEOPLE SHOUTING AT PELOSI IN DENVER...
NOONAN: 'Democrats Look Desperate'...

Oh yes, all this outrage is "manufactured" according to the Community Activist In Chief Barack Obama. He can't seem to take a dose of his own medicine, huh? Kind of like the Dems who refuse to accept the same exact health bill that they are trying to force on all of us. Rather telling, don't you think?

US deficit climbs to 1.3 trillion dollars

BY AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE
Published: August 7, 2009
Updated 35 minutes ago

WASHINGTON (AFP) – The US budget deficit reached 1.3 trillion dollars for the current fiscal year in July, official data showed, news set to fuel opposition to US President Barack Obama’s ambitious health care and climate change proposals.

The deficit for the first 10 months of fiscal year 2009, which began October 1, reached 1.3 trillion dollars, close to 880 billion dollars greater than the deficit recorded through July 2008, said the US Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

Outlays rose by almost 530 billion dollars, or 21 percent, and revenues fell by more than 350 billion dollars, or 17 percent, compared with the amounts recorded during the same period last year, the non-partisan CBO said.

The new data was likely to stoke Republican opposition to Obama’s plans to remake the US health care system and enact sweeping legislation to battle climate change, as well as fuel criticism of his handling of the economy.

Republicans have charged that the nearly 800-billion-dollar economic stimulus package Obama and his Democratic allies pushed through earlier this year only swells the deficit and has not paid off in jobs recovered.

The president late Thursday declared America may be seeing the beginning of the end of its economic nightmare, and fired a blistering attack on his Republican critics.

“The recession was years in the making, it didn’t just start last month. That bank crisis didn’t happen on my watch. Let’s get the history straight,” he said in a fiery and partisan speech reminiscent of his barnstorming 2008 election rhetoric.

The president argued that his mammoth 787-billion-dollar rescue plan and other emergency measures had stopped the economy’s free-fall and cut the rate of job losses.

“We may just be seeing the very beginnings of the end of this recession,” he said.

Obama cranked up his counter-attack as a new poll suggested voter patience may be wearing thin with his economic rescue effort, with his sky-high job approval rating slumping to 50 percent, the lowest since his inauguration.

The Quinnipiac University poll rating was a significant dip from the 57 percent Obama enjoyed on July 2, and followed a month of fierce battles of his economic rescue plans and signature healthcare reform.

The White House is also bracing for new unemployment figures due Friday that analysts expect to show the jobless rate climbing to a 26-year high of 9.6 percent, ever closer to the politically perilous 10-percent mark.

Riffy

tll me you read it all, i need a good laugh... you remember the patriot act, the great piece of legislation you read all that too, when you said it has to pass or we will die. last wekk i posted some of the prok in that... let's not let reading and facts get in the way...
thanks for keeping my faith intact, and posting some mean stuff about another person.

Huh, Pdog, I never claimed that I had read the entire bill! I have read portions of it that even dear leader Obama hasn't read though apparently. I also know that John Conyers (D-Mich) has claimed that it's basically pointless to read the bill anyway! Why should he bothered to read a bil that will effect every single man, woman, and child in the country?! He knows all he needs to know. He will get much more control! Yippee!

Here's your wonderful Dem leadership in action!--->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t32ckkdlcao&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo%2Egoogle%2Eco...

So Pdog I guess that means that you're ready to just "trust" the same politicians that you have always railed against? Why would that be?

Riffy

Trust no, it is just awesome watching the tables turn , and seeing you spin out on something, that a few years ago, you supported legislation that was written the same way... you are even using the same argument that was used against that, almost verbatum. It's awesome to watch the hypocisy from both sides. You even criticize the Afganistan now. You talk about US deaths and struggles there, but when it was Bush, no mention of setbacks or casualties, without the context of fully supporting our troops. A 180 turn. The only thing that hasn't changed is the passion of hate you display towards anyone who thinks different or feels different than you do...

Authoritarian!

This is a great quote:
‘I have an agreement with my people: they can say what they like and I can do what I like’.

"Pdog you are trying to suggest that I am being two faced here, I guess? Well you could not be more wrong!"

I never used that term.

What I said was:

"you are even using the same argument that was used against that, almost verbatum"

So, once again, I have to point out, how you construct a debate, you make up something I didn't say, then temm me I'm worng. You're having an argument with yourself, setting your own topic and using things unsaid, as a basis to make a point...

"It is the single largest exspansion of government control ever."

Is it  more than are controlled by DHS... all 22 agencies that were incoporated into and the new one built up... have you really crunched the numbers? Or are you just geting this info from Rush or some blog and telling us it is fact? I know at the time, you had zero concerns about the semnatics of the legislation or the flaws and concerns, and said to me personally, i was unpatriotic for questionong this largest expansin of govt. and consolidation power with less accountabilty. Funny now you care about such things! There'a big irony isn't there? You should've questioned your govt. more then. The blind allegiance now cuts the other way. Like I've said before, you at least are luckier than me, you just started feeling fucked, It hasn't stopped for me....

Well, Mr. Riffhard, when you're lecturing the rest of us on how smart and well-read you are, and how everyone else is a stupid drone, it would perhaps give your detractors less to snicker about if you spelled 5th grade-level words correctly. For instance, "lose" as opposed to "loose". "Loose" means "not tight", as in "Riffy is playing fast and loose with the truth", while "lose" is the opposite of "win", as in "Riffy will lose his mind completely if he doesn't stop watching Glenn Beck."  Also, it's "elitist", not "elitest". Since that's a key word in the anti-liberal vocabulary, you ought to practice up on it.

PLEASE! That's CRUCIFIED.  No "X".

And in case you forgot, people protested against Bush's war in Iraq because it was BUSH'S WAR IN IRAQ.  Obama didn't start it, didn't vote for it, and is following through with his campaign promises to bring it to a close.

The pictures of Bush with a Hitler 'stache referred to Hitler's habit of inventing reasons to invade countries.

And the pictures of Obama in a Hitler 'stache are there, they're just related to the insurance overhaul...because we all know how much Hitler cared about insurance...

Good JC/Flea! Thanks again for that breef histery of Bush's war! And thnks to for tha Hitler comparrisan! It's almost as good as Dr. Ezekiel Emmanual's take on the Hippocratic Oath!

Oh, you haven't heard that?

Seems the good doctor thinks that this oath reads like this, or he is implying that doctors read it this way--->"Peer recognition goes to the most thorough and aggressive physicians. The prudent physician is not deemed particularly competent, but rather inadequate. This culture is further reinforced by A UNIQUE UNDERSTANDING OF PROFESSIONAL OBLIGATIONS, SPECIFICALLY, THE HIPPOCRATIC OATH'S ADMONITION TO 'USE MY POWER TO HELP THE SICK TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY AND JUDGMENT' AS AN IMPERATIVE TO DO EVERYTHING FOR THE PATIENT REGARDLESS OF COST OR EFFECT ON OTHERS."

See that right there is exactly what Hitler and his good doctors thought too! What Rahm's brother is implying is that it is wrong to help those that may need help but can't afford it. So who will pay the highest price for this government run system? The poor, the elderly, and infants. Some of us that can think know that what he is really saying is that the state should ration care.

Coincidently enough, in the UK their national health Care organization, with the ironic acronym NICE title, would deem Ted Kennedy a hopeless cause and would end all treatment for him post haste. I mean he is no longer a useful member of society afterall! I guess Rham's brother, Dr. Mengala, err Emmanual, would have no problem stopping payment for good ol' Teddy?

Oh, and I almost forgot, go fuck yourself!

To clarify, do you agree or disagree that creationism should be taught in schools? Do you agree or disagree with equal rights for gays? (correct me if I'm worng, didn't you once say homosexuality was immoral? just wondering, where those morals come from. Are you agnostic or atheist?) Are you for or against abortions, simply a womens right to decide? Are you for or against abstininnce being taught? Are you for sex education based on science, that allows for STD and pregnancy prevention with education based on known clinical data?
Don't trip on spelling with me, I spelled god as gag in post... no wonder no one responded... at elft translates!!!
I ask these questions since most of them come from the religous christian right consevative movemnt in the republican party, and wanted to know if you agree them based on your lack of religion and non -beleif in god, or if you have some other source for creating your ideals. And to put it into a context, I  beleive all humans should have access to medical care, never be denied... idealistic yes, and not unlike the teachings of some relious prophets... but my views, like yours, may come from somewhere despite religous views on the same subject... are you following me?

No, it wasn't a guilt by association thing.
Jizzy explicitly stated that Riffy and I are part of the 'intelligent (sic) design' crowd.
And that is laughable because I am not a religious person, I do not attend church, and I do not believe in god.

It has nothing to do with "guilt by association" which, incidently, I do not use "towrds the elft" (quick, where is Jesus and his dictionary).

Oh boy...even a miracle worker like Me wouldn't tackle the typos in a  typical Pdoggy post...then again, Pdiddy rarely, if ever, spouts off about his intellectual superiority or calls his detractors stupid.

...
So...you don't believe in God...so you must be super pissed that Bush invaded Iraq to fulfill Bible prophesy!  Or is that an example of the "faith" which you so stoutly support in others?

Riffy

I see your point here, yet there's alos another side... I just talked with a guy whose mom had a surgery for Parkinsons, where they cut a hole in her head and do some kind of magnet thing, supposedly cuttinhg edge stuff, to control tremor ect... she's only 58. And we talked anout life expetancy and quality of life, the risks vs. benefits. He said, if she was 20 years older and more progressed, this wouldn't make sense to perform. I thought he was right, I agree with that, and you are right, it is importnat that we don't have buerecrats deciding who lives and dies!!! It should always be up to patients and doctors... One thing that is important to alwys remeber, sometimes people get sick and die, and there's points of no return, and science and medicine are based on theories and practice... Here's some things to think about... do countries with natl. health systems have higher or lower infant mortality rates? Are the life exptancies more or less than the USA? When people are pronounced terminal, are they given quality treatment towardfs end of life? Who is paying for Hospice care in the USA? I already know the answer to this... birth and death medical care, you telling me were going to kill kids and old people? Really? You're comparing Emmanuel to Mengala? Really, and you support the torture of human beings by our own govt. Something a little off here... you seem to have very adjustable morals.
