Man, all these conservatives going Obama. It's interesting folks. Is it true what they say, that papa never worked a day in his life? Whoops, sorry. Got the song stuck in my head. I meant to say: Is it true what they say, that once you've had Barack you never go back? These conservatives have the money and all, but support Obama who will give that money to the needy. I think what we have here is a clear secret Bolshevik conspiracy. They get it, man. They understand the proletariat Obama speaks of. And they're all philanthropic as a result.

But sure Obama doesn't have "executive experience" like Palin. However, it's been pointed out that Bush III had that going for him too. Load of good that did for his rep, and the country altogether. Now, executive experience is fine if you use it well, but what the fuck do it matter when you use it fire troopers and stop bridges to nowhere? And all Bush did with his was help out some oil men and give the orders for executions. Just cause you have the experience of ordering that some legally retarded truck driver up for manslaughter cause he accidentally ran over a blind lady wearing black in the middle of the night gets the chair, doesn't mean you're ready for prez. About the most foreign place Bush ever saw as governor was Lubbock.

I'll admit a senator who worked as a community organizer ain't the grandest of pre-requisites to be head honcho. But knowing how to deal with the homeless, unemployed, drug-addicted and discriminated? That's par for the course called America, where in some places being white, Christian, conservative and male actually makes you the maltreated minority, if you listen to guys like Joe the Plumber! Barack saw the mean streets and said "No more poverty damnit" and under his breath adding "If that's what gets me president then sure I'll try I guess" If he can clean up Iraq to focus on domestic issues, he can pick up where poor LBJ left off before he had to slay the Red Dragon to appease the John Birch Society crowd.

Ha, "The Great Society" my ass. Here comes "The Sweet Society" brothas and sistahs! Jeremiah Wright will be secretary of stickin' it to the man and Bill Ayers the secretary of weapons and defense... homeland defense, as in defense from right-wingers at home who foist their bourgeois values on normal everyday Americans who have a college degree and read Mao and Marx during frosh week. Under Obama, when you get that job managing the chain of pancake houses, you don't get that inexplicable privelege of earning so much you can buy a helicopter just to fly it right into a volcano and jump out with a parachute at the last moment while smoking a Cuban cigar, eating caviar and wiping your mouth with gold boullion napkins.

You no longer have that job so you can earn 10 to the power of 10,000,000 more money than the guy who cleans toilets at the subway station all day! Don't like it? Then move to Russia where communism's effects still linger, only the law there is so twisted you can join the Mafia and not work at anything except importing Japanese technology and you make more than Czar Vladamir "The Judo Chop Puppeteer" Putin the First (and only that is). In summary, I guess being a governor is like a community organizer, except you actually have responsibilities... that you can neglect to do or heap on someone else when the scandal hits. That, and as governor you actually get things done... and I mean done and done... like dead... fried, if you will.

BTW, This has been a comedic/semi-serious piece of political satire thankyouverymuch. No I am not inebriated, just inspired. If I was drunk, could I have just written inebriated... ooo, I did it again see. Ain't no drunk gonna be able to write so co-hearintlee!!! But seriously, community organizer isn't as pressure-packed a job as governor at all but a governor can't do their job and a community organizer can't do a governor's job... cause they'd become dope sick from the lack of intravenous "hope," "courage," "change" and "glory" they're actually able to take in. Obama's going to be the first president to hold rallies instead of press conferences or state of the union addresses. And somewhere that guy who wrote "Springtime for Hitler" will say "Yeeeesss! Finally Washington will resemble Nuremberg for a change!" Wait, was that all fiction? Ok, then let's just say some old secret Nazi working for a telephone company in Argentina.

OH Meg. I disagree.
This thread is so full of divisiveness. It makes me ill to see friends REALLY fighting.

I hope all of this can be mended.
I just had a chat with a good freind who is as ardent of a supporter of Obama as I am NOT.
My final words to her were:

Whomever wins, we HAVE to rally behind the next POTUS and let this vitriol GO.
Today I am proudly wearing my Jagger/Richards in 2008 Tee shirt!!!!
Thanks jb!!!

Well it is all in your perspective , LJ.  PS wrote a great piece of satire about the last few months and the 100's of pages of posts on this subject.- And what better way to make fun of it and us than this!!  And if you look at all this bashing, name calling, "my side is right and the rest of you are idiot" stuff, it really is ridiculous.   When all is said and done- all this expounding,  hocus pocus, nasty bruhaha is just that: Ridiculous, sometimes funny, sometimes infuriating, sometimes informative, sometimes downright mean.

Whomever gets the job of President inherits a fucking mess and probably will be a one term president.  I don't envy them their job.

The only people who will not put aside their hostility if their candidate doesn't win, wouldn't do so anyway.  Like I've been told many times and try to live my life: you can choose to see the glass as half full or you can choose to see the glass as half empty.

That said...

Go Obama and love ya Girlfriend!!!

I've been wearing my Keith richards for President shirt alot...

and yes, LJ, the men here could learn alot from the ladies...

Myself, I got tired of being called stupid, while double checking, and making sure my insults were directed at candidates only.

There's two things I'm sure of, in real life, my homeboys always got my back... and online, i'd rather be friends with the ladies, they don't post with as much agressivness and keep my agressivness in check.

I'm actually still slack jawed about the cheap shit accusation made about my weed/republican paranoia post.
Really?

What - all five of them? Dont tar us all with the one brush. The rest of us find the hissyfits at best laughably pathetic and at worst tiresomely annoying.

Perhaps I should have CLARIFIED by saying "the men IN THIS THREAD". Wouldn't want YOU to have a hissyfit now would I? Wink

That's what happens when the election process takes 3 years Meg. We're all numb to this shit by now. Why do you think so many people are voting early? Their minds are made up...Anyone who is still undecided at this point is probably someone who shouldn't be voting anyway.

I picture udecided voters as people who go into a McDonalds, and can't decide on what to order... The type of people that don't get ready to leave, until you show up to pick them up, and then they start wondering what to wear and waste lots of time, happily too, and all this just to go to Lowes or home Depot.

"I'm actually still slack jawed about the cheap shit accusation made about my weed/republican paranoia post."

Pretty simple really.

I posted an article by a well respected journalist stating, in essence, how some Obama supporters are so smitten with the guy that they have ignored critical facts in the man's background in favor of some elusive "change" that he promises.

You responded by calling me a paranoid dope smoking Republican or something like that.

I will try to use smaller words so you are sure to get the nuance this time.

Me post story.
You insult me.

Clear now, slackjaw!

This is what I wrote in response to you, and the article......

"Commies, mass suicides... can you come up with more fear? 8 years of Bush, and all you got is fear! Smoking weed and being a Republican makes you really paranoid! "

You called this a cheap shot, and aligned me to FPM...

You want a cheap shot? you ain't gonna get one!
You trusted me with confidences, and I've never broken that confidence... Your personal stuff. Do you remember? If not, it don't matter. I'm not fucking going there, but to say I cheap shotted, you slaps me in the face with the truth, I am trusting and can keep a friends private matters offline. If I was a cheap shotter, I wouldn't poke fun about weed smoking... that is small potatoes, if I want to hurt someone, and they've trusted me with private stuff, and I use that, that is a cheap shot!
Who is taking cheap shots, and yeah, I think you took my sarcastic comment extreme, and decided to not let me explain. Jumped on it, and not want to, pardon the term, pout about it.
Years of threads and pics about smoking weed! Maybe weed doesn't make you paranoid, which is awesome, but it a widely held belief and often used joke and punchline.

You openly discuss weed smoking, your Republican... My sarcasm seemed clear in my post! I've been cheap shotted here, I know what it feels like!
