Attorney General Eric Holder says he was racially profiled years ago.

The nation's first black attorney general, Holder tells ABC News that, as a college student, he was stopped by an officer while driving and told to open his trunk for a search.

The nation's top law enforcement officer was asked about racial profiling in light of the debate over the arrest earlier this month of black Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. at his home by a white officer.

Holder declined to discuss the Gates controversy, but he said when he was stopped, he felt humiliated and angry.

Damn that must have pained MSNBC to publish that story. The good news is that most common sense Americans know that Obamacare is nothing but a complete remaking of our society, and that their overall care would get real shitty real fast. The fact that some idiots still think it's a good idea says more about their complete and utter lack of any independant thought than anything else. Thus we have people like funman that are drones.

Obama has spent more than any single one person in world history, but we are to believe that his plan will save money?!?! ROTFLMMFAO!! You'd have to be a complete dolt to believe that crock of shit!

Now who here is that stupid?

Long way to go. Chicken eggs hatched thingy.

Looks like the polls are lowering for Obama. Probably due to the scare tactics from conservative radio and the like.
And how about those scare tactics. The complete spectrum. Euthanasia for the elderly, bureaucrats, etc. Nothing honest.

The real concern is wait time to see your doctor. Most people know what the moral thing to do is, but they lose sight when they consider the possibility of having to wait for an appointment. Sad but true. America is rapidly becoming a selfish me-first nation.

So we'll see where it goes. Like I said, it's a long race and the lead will change here and there.

To RiffRaff, you like to use the word drone a lot, but have you ever considered how your viewpoints waver ZERO degrees from the neocons?

Oh.  Here they are.

First we have Flea.  And his contribution to the music world.  He made a video.  Let's watch.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3V2jVG3PY8

Hmmm.  I'm speechless.  Did he borrow that drum track from the Sugar Hill Gang?  Anyone know what this tortured genius is talking about?  They let this asshat out in public?  Without a leash?  I guess it's way over our head.  I suppose it's one of those things that will make sense a hundred years from now when they unearth the time capsule that crap is destined to be buried in.  I give it a 1 out of 10.  I'd give it less, but that film work looks like it took some time to put together.  The champion of the left, his free spirit and all, turns in a remarkably weak effort.  Worst Tom Waits imitation I've ever seen.

And now, we have Fiji Joe.

He wrote a song too.  And also made a video.  Let's watch.

Okay.  My feet are still tapping.  And I don't feel like clawing the inside of my skull out.  Rock n' Roll.  Nicely done.  Is that Starbuck on the kazoo?

The champion of the right rates an 8 out of 10.

I'd say Flea got knocked out.  Early and often.  But I'm sure it's George Bush's fault.

" bureaucrats, etc. Nothing honest."

Have you ever worked for the federal government?
I have.
I've worked in the Executive Branch and the Judicial Branch.
And in my position in the Executive Branch I worked closely with the Legislative Branch.

You don't think there are going to be bureaucrats?

Dude!

I think that the current HMO administrators are motivated by profit, so they can easily justify dropping people in the name of $$$.
It has been happening, not just opinion. First hand knowledge, I have.

You didn't give any examples of where you see this going. You must have opinions on this if you have witnessed something.

I have worked in large private companies that have HUGE bureaucracies (aerospace), and I could relate info about it. It isn't relevant to this, so I won't elaborate. But I have seen the absurdity in action.

I did get a cluepon months ago. Can I redeem it now?

edit: forgot to ask, what do the soldiers get now? Is that unacceptable for the citizenry? What about Congress? Too good for the citizens? Or is it not good enough?

No, not everyone is a drone. I mean how else can explain Obummer's sinking poll numbers? People are starting to wake up. That's good. You though? You are a drone of the first order. You actually are trying to defend this insane health care bill by saying idiotic shit like, "It's only fair" Of course you haven't read the bill (nor has congress according to Rep. Conyers (D)!), and you have no idea what it calls for. I mean how else can you explain your desire to see this idiocy implemented? Good thing you're not a senior citizen, huh?! Because Obummer has already stated that he is going to slash Medicaid by hundreds of millions per year to help pay for his socialist nirvana. Who do you think is going to get hurt there big boy? That's right, seniors! Not that matters to you though, right?

The fact that every recent poll has indicated that between 80%-85% of all people are perfectly happy with their own insurance plans means exactly what to you? Nothing! Obummer says jump, you say, how high. We should destroy the private insurance business because they are "greedy, evil, capitalists!"? While we're at it let's destroy the best health care business in the world! Obummer says so afterall!

Oh, and one more thing drone-boy. How can Obummer claim that 95% of all Americans are going to get a tax break, and then in the very next breath say that he's going to cover everyone inside the USA with government provided health care. That means illegals too btw. Well if you actually took the time to read the horseshit health care bill that your messiah is trying to ram through congress you'd see that it includes a tax hike of over 500 billion dollars annually!!! Nice tax break, huh? I guess he's just going to soak the evil rich bastards! They probably work for equally evil fat cat capitalist pigs afterall!

You're not just a drone. You're a moron.

Well, I wasn't involved with airplanes, more on the space side of aerospace, but I think I can decipher the point you're trying to make.
Sweetie? That's what my mom calls me. Was that frustration? I really was trying to find your perspective.

I've already heard the life or death scenario from conservatives.
My problem with that argument is in the history of nations that have it. They're still there. Not dead yet.

HMO's are still going to be around, but another plan to make them compete is what this industry needs.

Hey McFly let me make this very clear to you. The poll numbers are sinking for Barry at a rate faster than any president since before WWII. His numbers are sinking faster, and farther than even Bush's! The reason that his numbers are sinking like a stone is because some drones are waking up to his ideology, and they can see that what he actually wants is not "fairness", but rather wealth redistribution aka socialism/Marxism. His idea of fairness is based solely on his leftist ideology. Do you get it? Just because Barry says it's fair doesn't make it so. Some people are starting to see what some of us have known about Obummer for a long long time. There is real hope for Obamadrones. They are kind of like alcoholics. The first step is admitting that you have a problem, or in their (your) case admitting that they were drones. This health care debacle is all about reshaping the very essence of this nation, and how it operates. Some people see that, and some, like you, don't. Fortunatly there are more of us then there of you. Too bad these former drones didn't know this about Barry before the November elections.

So the answer is no, you haven't.

You have no idea how many layers and layers and layers of shit you will have to wade through to get your day at the doctor.  This ain't airplane parts sweetie - it is life and death and this Administration's plan is a disaster.

Given the information I provided you, why are you still posting?  Don't you care about the environment?

Hey Satan (can I call you that?).

You made a good point about my ecological opinions contrasting with my internet/energy usage.
Constructive criticism is good.

I wouldn't go so far as to say raving however. But that's probably my bias talking. I do think highly of myself . . .

I do care about the environment. I have shut off many lights to justify this rant time.
I rarely use Google or search engines in general. But I am still using energy to be online and I get your point.

well here's where I feel compelled to jump in

i have been watching this debate your nation is having regarding health care with some interest

i know i don't live in the US and the US is not Australia but, as I am sure  other ROers from the Europe will attest,
you can have private and government health insurance co-exist such that you do not have, what is to me, the incomprehensible situation where access to fundamental/essential health care is not avaiable/affordable to all and a serious health problem has the potential corollary of becoming a serious financial one - if the rest  of the western world can do it you do have to wonder why the US can't (or won't)

from what I have come to understand i can't help but think there is a lot of scare tactics and misinformation being bandied about - again i admit I am a long way from the action -  and it is the insurance companies who can see a hit to their profit margins coming

clearly tho private health insurers have a bottom line interest and in regards to health care this is not always the best thing,  if it ever is - i know this raises philosophical and idealogical issues about govt./indiviual rights and responsibilities but I am putting those to the side and am looking at this issue in terms of can it be done not should it be done - although the tenants of Hippocratic Oath and the idea that health services are a saleable commodity are, to me at least, somewhat at odds

the other thing that I understand about the US system that strikes me as unusual is that health coverage is often a component of employment benefits...  speaking as a small business proprietor  I can't see how this is anything but an impost (and therefore a retardant) on business, especially small business which then, of course, has ramifications when it comes to employment issues

finally, nanker i see your point re bureaucrats but as fuman points out private enterprise have their own as well and while private insurers may have (or have more incentive to have) more efficient bureaucracies I have had enough experience in insurance law to know that  the hassle, time and cost that can be incurred in trying to get insurers to honour claims can be just as bad (if not worse) than navigating your way through the, not driven for profit, public system

and there will always be a place for private insurance, if people can afford it, in order to obtain private care, which, granted, is often - but not always - superior in quality to public (in my experience here at least) or for elective or non-essential expenses - here in Aus. for example you either insure for dental care or you pay for it tho some argue that basic dental care shoud also be covered

then of course there is also the issue of tort reform as well as a few other issues that have come to mind as i have written this but this will do for now...

please take this post at face value - my position and interest is solely to do with the health care issue - as far as the merits or otherwise of the Obama adminstration are concerned I remain an interested observer

SIA I appreciate your thoughts on this subject, but there are a few points that you may have either missed, or are unaware of. Firstly as recently as 2004 Obama claimed that he wanted a "single payer option". That is what we would have to call an oxymoron. Because a single payer plan would rule out all options except a government run plan. That would destroy all private insurance policies. As recently as this Monday Barney Frank (D-Ma.) said this---->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3BS4C9el98&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Esinglepayerac...

Now we all know what single payer is, right? It is a one plan fits all, and it would be handled entirely by some government hacks inside DC whose main objective is to "save" money. So while some like funman love to slam profit, they are clueless as to whjat the alternative is. When the government negates profit as an incentive then they will destroy not only the insurance business, but the helath care that the USA has enjoyed for years. Many are not aware of the fact that the UK has the worst health care coverage of any Western country! It's true, but many in the UK have lived with it for their entire lives, and they know of no other option. There's that word again, option. In the UK they have no options! That is what Obama and many liberal big government types want here. We don't want it! It leads to rationing, and long lines, and the government standing between you and your doctor.

Here's today's headline from the Herald UK today-->"One third of patients encounter problems with NHS"

http://www.theherald.co.uk/news/news/display.var.2522438.0.One_third_of_patients...

Why would we want to adopt a type of governemnt run plan that is an absolute disaster in every single country that it has been tried?

The USA leads the world in heart disease survival, cancer survival, and in most other crhonic disease survival. If big daddy governemnt decides who gets treated that all goes out the window.

Now let's take a look at how well the governemnt handles the health care packages that it already operates.

...

And now we're supposed to just assume that Obama, who has never run anything in his life, is going to get a nationalized health care plan, and then make it a cost saving plan that we can all believe in? Huh, no.

That's a short-sighted take, but a take I guess.  You didn't even touch on the most important issue.  Do you have a Hippocratic oath down there?  What's it cost for a doctor to abide by it?

Bottom line is this. What Obama and other liberals want is a single payer plan. As recently as 2004 Barack Obama said that he wanted a "single payer option". Now that is a pretty funny thing to say considering a single payer plan by it's own definition offers zero options!! It's a government run one size fits all program, and it has been an abysmal failure everywhere that it has been tried.

Oh Riffy, you're just trying to use neo-con talking points, and scare tactics! Huh, bullshit! Let's see what Barney Frank had to say about a single payer plan on Monday.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3BS4C9el98&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Esinglepayerac...

Notice anything disturbing about that video? Frank let it slip that what Obama, and the hard left liberal Dems want is to incrementally force a single payer plan onto the country. Liberals like Barney Frank, and Barack Obama have no problem playing politics with life and death. Frank, and Dodd, destryed the housing industry, and now he wants to get his fat hands all over your health plan! Does that sound like a good idea to you? If a singler payer big government nationalized health care plan were to happen all private health insurance plans would be gone. Presto! Bigger government control over your life, and yes, even your death. But funman says it's only fair! So let's destroy what we have now, and experiment! Sounds great!
