Ok, enough of this. You need to get to your homeroom before class begins.

Today's lesson will be the definition of the word FACT. Pay attention Mr RiffRaff, there will be a test  . . .

I have both the time and the inclination to post both the rant from here as well as the one he posted on the Couch:

Posted on RO:

I always said I'd never do this, but -

Yesterday in the thread where all of the usual right-wing assholes were desperately trying to stick up for their hero Rush Limbaugh, frantically erecting strawmen and changing the subject, I somehow missed Telecaster's comments about my girlfriend. Not even original - basically a rehash of the same reprehensible, cowardly and oh-so-Republican tactics employed by Tele's boyfriend Fiji, who later (upping his own cowardice dramatically) later denied ever saying it, and very reminiscent of their idol Dick Cheney in outing Valerie Plame. Like I said, I missed it, until SHE read it a minute ago and pointed it out to me. Of course she's insulted, hurt, probably confused as to why she's being attacked here where she rarely even posts, and highly disappointed in me for continuing to post here, opening her up to attacks by assholes she doesn't even know. And she's right about all of that. I love her more than anything, and there's certainly nothing here that is even remotely as important as that. God knows I don't care much about the Stones anymore - dried up old greedy men wringing every last penny out of people who can't decide whether they passed their peak 20 or 30 years ago. I've got some friends here, but they all know what my email address is, and they know they're welcome at my house anytime they're in the neighborhood.

I've also got some enemies here, and anyone who thinks "we all love the Stones, that's all that matters" is insane. The differences between us are life and death. We're not even of the same species. So Tele, as well as Fiji, Max, Nanker, Riffy and your few pathetic right-wing groupies - fuck off. The future will judge you for your views, even if you held them solely for the purpose of pissing off liberals.

To Gerardo, Jaxx, and Gazza - you are all great hosts, with far more patience with loudmouths like me than I would have. It was a pleasure to meet Jaxx and Gazza, and I regret never meeting Gerardo in person. Thanks for everything, and I'm sorry for any messes I made.

Oh, it's been fun. Let's see. We had this hilarious thread going over at Rocks Off about how Rush Limbaugh got caught with a suspicious script for VIAGRA coming back from the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - bwahahahaha! You can't make this shit up! And of course all the usual rightwingers got theirt panties in a wad, and Telly chimed in with his usual "We control everything! You guys are losers!" spiel, which I responded to with MY usual "you're a prematurely gay drunk" spiel, and then he took a page from the Fiji Joe/Dick Cheney Handbook of Dirty Pool and responded with something about how my girlfriend is so ugly that I need a truckload of viagra to get it up - he wasn't smooth about it like Fiji, so he could later claim he never said any such thing, because, well, because Telly's just not nearly as smart as Feej. Anyhoo, I ignored it for a day, but then Erica read it and told me I could post on my COOL message board all I wanted but she would think a little bit less of me each time I did. So I did what I always laughed at you and Feej and everyone else who ever does it - I posted a "you won't have Dick Nixon to kick around" speech and left. I really didn't stomp off in a huff, just said what I had to say. I really don't give a shit about the Stones anymore anyway. But I wanted to burn my bridges so I told all the rightwingers to fuck off, which I think was confusing to them - I wasn't telling them to fuck off because I thought THEY said shit about Erica, just because I don't plan on ever seeing them again and don't want them laboring under the delusion that I feel anything but revulsion for their politics, and the fact that they like the Stones doesn't cancel out the fact that they are masturbate to pictures of fighter jets and have been breathlessly tick-tick-ticking off the seconds until we start yet another war against the evil doers who hate us for our freedom. So the SECOND I posted it Fiji ran back in, under his OWN NAME, and started doing this ridiculous victory dance - tell me, how is him refusing to post at Rocks Off because I was there much different from me pouting across the street? Never mind, hypothetical question. So anyway, most of the gang from here came over to say good riddance to bad rubbish.

Anyway, the thread is called "Nazi Freaks Fuck Off", and will be up for another day or so until I delete it.

I think we're setting off fireworks tonight - come on down if you've a mind to.

Oh, PS - Payphone Al, if you took my comments from I forget when as a diss, I apologize. I think you are a great guy, and I was just making another of my stupid jokes that nobody thinks is funny. I told Erin about it and asked her to tell you.

MUMBAI (AFP) – Indian astrologers are predicting violence and turmoil across the world as a result of this week's total solar eclipse, which the superstitious and religious view as a sign of potential doom.

But astronomers, scientists and secularists are trying to play down claims of evil portent in connection with Wednesday's natural spectacle, when the moon will come between the Earth and the sun, completely obscuring the sun.

In Hindu mythology, the two demons Rahu and Ketu are said to "swallow" the sun during eclipses, snuffing out its life-giving light and causing food to become inedible and water undrinkable.

Pregnant women are advised to stay indoors to prevent their babies developing birth defects, while prayers, fasting and ritual bathing, particularly in holy rivers, are encouraged.

Shivani Sachdev Gour, a gynaecologist at the Fortis Hospital in New Delhi, said a number of expectant mothers scheduled for caesarian deliveries on July 22 had asked to change the date.

"This is a belief deeply rooted in Indian society. Couples are willing to do anything to ensure that the baby is not born on that day," Gour said.

Astrologers have predicted a rise in communal and regional violence in the days following the eclipse, particularly in India, China and other Southeast Asian nations where it can be seen on Wednesday morning.

Mumbai astrologer Raj Kumar Sharma predicted "some sort of attack by (Kashmiri separatists) Jaish-e-Mohammad or Al-Qaeda on Indian soil" and a devastating natural disaster in Southeast Asia.

An Indian political leader could be killed, he said, and tension between the West and Iran is likely to increase, escalating into possible US military action after September 9, when fiery Saturn moves from Leo into Virgo.

"The last 200 years, whenever Saturn has gone into Virgo there has been either a world war or a mini world war," he told AFP.

It is not just in India that some are uneasy about what will transpire because of the eclipse.

In ancient China they were often associated with disasters, the death of an emperor or other dark events, and similar superstitions persist.

"The probability for unrest or war to take place in years when a solar eclipse happens is 95 percent," announced an article that attracted a lot of hits on the popular Chinese web portal Baidu.com.

Sanal Edamaruku, president of the Indian Rationalist Association, dismissed such doomsday predictions.

"Primarily, what we see with all these soothsayers and astrologers is that they're looking for opportunities to enhance their business with predictions of danger and calamity," he told AFP.

"They have been very powerful in India but over the last decade they have been in systematic decline."

Astronomers and scientists are also working to educate the public about the eclipse.

Travel firm Cox and Kings has chartered a Boeing 737-700 aircraft to give people the chance to see the eclipse from 41,000 feet (12,500 metres).

Experts will be on board to explain it to passengers, some of whom have paid 79,000 rupees (1,600 dollars) for a "sun-side" seat on the three-hour flight from New Delhi.

The eclipse's shadow is expected to pass over the aircraft at 15 times the speed of sound (Mach 15), said Ajay Talwar, president of the SPACE Group of companies that promotes science and astronomy.

"It's coming in the middle of the monsoon season. On the ground, there's a 40 percent chance of seeing it in India. On the aircraft you have almost a 90 percent chance of seeing the eclipse," he added.

Siva Prasad Tata, who runs the Astro Jyoti website, straddles the two worlds.

"There's no need to get too alarmed about the eclipse, they are a natural phenomenon," the astrologer told AFP.

But he added: "During the period of the eclipse, the opposite attracting forces are very, very powerful. From a spiritual point of view, this is a wonderful time to do any type of worship.

"It will bring about good results, much more than on an ordinary day."

Statement from Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack

"Through the Recovery Act, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has made $100 million available to the states for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), which acquires food that is distributed to local organizations that assist the needy – including food banks, food pantries, and soup kitchens.

The Recovery Act funds referenced in press reports allowed states to purchase ham, cheese and dairy products for these food banks, soup kitchens and food pantries that provide assistance to people who otherwise do not have access to food. This program will help reduce hunger of those hardest hit by the current economic recession.

The references to "2 pound frozen ham sliced" are to the sizes of the packaging. Press reports suggesting that the Recovery Act spent $1.191 million to buy "2 pounds of ham" are wrong. In fact, the contract in question purchased 760,000 pounds of ham for $1.191 million, at a cost of approximately $1.50 per pound.
-----------------

Perfect example.
Dept of Agriculture decides to use over a million in stimulus funds to buy ham at $1.50 per pound when it can be bought for half that price at the local grocery store.

And you libs want Washington to run health care - they can't even run a damn cafeteria!

Yes liberals believe that big government is good, but big business is bad. Weird that they would think that way. Government has bankrupted Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and has ruined public education, yet they still believe that the government would do a better job handling healthcare than would a free market capitalist driven system.

Also funny thta they never seem to take into account that currently 85% of all people in the USA are prefectly happy with their healthcare plan yet they are ready to throw the entire system in the gutter for only 15% of the population. Typical liberal thought process. Or lack thereof.

I find it ironic that he accused everyone of "erecting strawmen" which he has now taken to new levels!!

And Dick Cheney clearly played a big role in his psychosis -- he makes an appearance in both rants for his "Dirty Pool" tactics!

"Today is a self-imposed White House deadline to identify another $100 million in 2009 budget cuts requested by President Obama in April from his cabinet secretaries--and so far, it has not announced any cuts.

“I'm asking for all of them to identify at least $100 million in additional cuts to their administrative budgets, separate and apart from the work that [Office of Management and Budget Director] Peter Orszag and the rest of our team are doing, to go line by line with the budget and identify programmatic cuts that need to be made,” the President said at his first cabinet meeting on April 20.

In a background document released that day, the White House said the president “will challenge his cabinet to cut a collective 100 million dollars in the next 90 days. Agencies will be required to report back with their savings at the end of 90 days.”

Technically the 90 days were up on Sunday. But Monday [July 20] was the first business day for government agencies since the deadline. As of midday Monday, the White House had not announced any additional administrative spending cuts."

What?
No spending cuts?

Oh my, no, Mr. Nankerphelge.  Why would that phrase bother me?   I thought it was a good phrase which I too might avail myself of. I trust it's not your intellectual property. I'm pretty sure it's been used before.  "Scrubbing the archives" might be a different story, though.  That seems fairly unique.
"Making progress" with Me? In what way? Are you coming on to Me? Ewwwwww.

Fact is, I didn't see Riffy's prior post -- I have been a bit busy what with a job and all.
Something you are not familiar with, perhaps?
Or did you manage to find some government job up there in Harrisburg?

It is indeed a common misconception
that I was or am a carpenter - despite
the fact that I've seen three bumper-

barometer of the nation's mood)  saying
"My Boss is a Jewish Carpenter", I have
never earned My keep in that manner.
In fact, if you read the Gospels, My
occupation is given as "Rabbi".This is
meant in the literal sense of the word,
as "Teacher".

I would have thought you would at least
catch up on what Mr. Riffhard has to say,
since you (and Mr. Glencar) are usually
lumped in with him.

...

It is sad indeed  to see you groping for details of the phantoms
you suspect Me of embodying.  If only you had Faith and could
accept Me as your personal Savior! Your delusions would vanish!
As you can see from the chart, the likelihood of that happening
is getting slim.

In the meantime, keep digging. Maybe some "back channeling"
will help.

...

You're not to busy with the job "and all" to
post cut & paste articles which bore the daylights
out of everyone.  Who's being billed for those hours?

...
People come here to see Riffy melt down, not read articles.  I'm sure your paranoid delusions
that see old boyfriends behind every poster are interesting to some - maybe you should stick
to those.

Boy I really hit one of your nerves with my "time and inclination" post, eh Jesus!?
You haven't been able to lay off that since!
Good - glad to see I am making some progress with you!

Ewwwwww.

nankerphelge wrote on Jul 20th, 2009 at 9:56am:
Fact is, I didn't see Riffy's prior post -- I have been a bit busy what with a job and all.
Something you are not familiar with, perhaps?
Or did you manage to find some government job up there in Harrisburg?

...

It is indeed a common misconception
that I was or am a carpenter - despite
the fact that I've seen three bumper-
stickers (there is no finer or more accurate
barometer of the nation's mood)  saying

I'm sure your paranoid delusions
that see old boyfriends behind every poster are interesting to some - maybe you should stick
to those.

Fleajus.  Shouldn't you be jamming with yellow bellied sapsuckers?  All that time you spend writing here could be used to improve those god awful lyrics.  And what's with that beret?  Was that your idea?  Had to be?  How very Che of you.

I'm going out on a limb and saying, after 246 pages, no one has changed their mind on how they feel about our President or the Ex-President.

Shall we now discuss the Israel/Palestinian situation?

The great uniter.

Obama must always ask himself, what would Fleajus do?

Well, never mind, if he did that, he'd spend all his time pouting across the street and stealing zoloft from his friends.

This is going to piss off a lot of wise Latina women.

I'm not the only one collecting souls.  Listen closely, and ponder.

Where is ham .75 cents a lb? where the hell is it $1.50 lb? where do you buy groceries?
