How many gay people do you know? and how do thier lives, disrupt yours? If I remeber correctly, you're against equal rights for homosexuals, and if that is true, explain that stance and your above statement... how do peopleof faith, who may have never even met a homosexual, decide to go after them, and treat them less than? And how do I, a person who beleives in equal rights for all, find a way to respect those who decide to do something so horrible to other human beings? What principle, moral or value is it, in that kind of oppression? btw, there's no left or right wing agenda, just platforms, policies and the other 99% of political  hyperbole.

Liz Trotta?  The Fox News hack who called Obama "Osama" and then said that both Osama and Obama should be bumped off?

Well, she's obviously in the tank for Obama!  I bet she's a Jacko worshipper too.

Unemployment is 9.5% and climbing. And that doesn't include slackers, those who work part-time or those living off other people's money. Yeah, this guy was the PERFECT solution.

And some are just lazy. After graduating college, a young man I know spent a year unemployed just sponging off others & what little he had in savings. That's no way to live your life. Fortunately, I got desperate one day & took a temp job. Thank God we didn't have an internet back then!

Conservatism is two things -- it's a political philosophy, and a cultural movement that's being mined for commercial purposes. Every wingnut's behavior seems crazy and unhinged if you look at it from a political context. But if you look at it from a commercial context, they're all being completely rational -- they all make lots and lots of money.

The problem with the movement is that the people at the top always go for the money. If Ann Coulter will bolster your ratings, you'll put her on, even if she diminishes your side's chances of winning elections.

I don't think that demonstrating that Palin is bad, or that the whack job on Glenn Beck is bad, will fix this thing. Because if they go down, some other demagogues will take their place.

Until conservatism the political philosophy renounces conservatism the demagogic industry, they're basically screwed. And the business folks are leaving a lot of lasting damage in their wake -- it's not politicians (for the most part) who rail against immigrants. It's talk radio hosts. They do it for money. Throwing chum in the water is profitable. But even if the GOP denounced these guys today, it would take a long time before a lot of people started to trust them again. Hispanics won't vote Republican for a long time. The demagogues say they're standing on principle, that they won't be silenced, that they will continue to speak the truth. But they just want the money.

But don't you recall McCain saying he doesn't understand economics?
McCain wanted to lead a war, that's what his daddy would have been proud (finally) of.
McCain's pick of Palin is an indictment on his leadership.
Palin obviously doesn't understand much, if anything.

I would argue a McCain vote was a big gamble, an Obama vote was a vote for intellect (a dirty word for some, I know).

Read my posts & tell me intellect is a dirty word. And tell me when Obalama has displayed ANY intellect WHATSOEVER. His choice of Biden is MUCH worse than Sarah. McCain would have surely not foisted an unnecessary spending plan with no end in sight. Well, actually, he MIGHT have. But he was certainly smarter in international matters & really, that's what POTUSes are for. Also, I think McCain would have chosen someone better than Sotomayor for the SC. She's the worst pick since 1970.

Funman I know this is not written by you, so you'll excuse me when I say that that right there is most idiotic, naive, simpleton candy assed tripe posing as intellectual prose that I have read in my life. That guy wouldn't know conservatism if it kicked him in the ass. That is a whole lot of horseshit written by a little leftarded fuckstick that doesn't know John Locke from Paris Hilton!

I mean look at that last idiotic sentence. He claims that Hispanics won't vote Republican, and then he tries to imply that the reason is because conservative talk show hosts are only in it for the money. Hence Republicans should distance themselves from those radio hacks, and btw, of their 100 million daily listeners! ROTFLMMFAO!!

Hey moron (not you funman, the clueless fuck that wrote that post), what do you suppose so many recent Mexican "immigrants" and Hispanic Rights Groups are in it for?! Some Republicans, and all talk show hosts on the right would like to save the average American some cash. That includes the dumbass that wrote the linked post. The idiocy in that post is laughable. Which begs the question, funman why would you cut and paste such a stupid post?

Is this the way you see conservatives? If so then you are clearly in the dark with true Conservatism. Trying reading "Liberty and Tyranny", by Mark Levin, and then come back and talk that crap. Read the book. I dare you to. I'll tell you straight up that this book is footnoted to the enth degree, and backed by sources from the government that you seem to love so much to the US Constitution and every other source from Plato to Charles Montesquie. It absolutely destroys the logic, or illogic, of your argument. In fact it destroys liberalism completely. I dare you to read it. I double dog dare ya! Oh how the lefttarded blogosphere has tried to debunk this book. They can't though! It's all provable facts that can be backed up by history, and facts. Not that the average liberal won't deny that history or ignore the facts, but there ya go.

I already know that you won't read the book funman. You know how I know that? Because you are a drone who refuses to ever read anything that differs from your world view. That is the difference between you and conservatives-(please note that I said conservatives and not Republicans). We look at all the facts outside of some partisan prism. Liberals? Not so much. Doesn't seem very liberal to me at all. Hell funman I read both of Barry's books! You can do it funman! Don't fear that which you don't know.

He displays his intellect in the way he responds to questions. The way he educates us of the complex issues of the economy.  OH MY GOD!!! YOU DID NOT JUST POST THIS!!!?!?!?!?!

Also, the way he responded to the Rev Wright dust up,  William Ayers, etc. He shows real humility, and he speaks to the adults.

YOU BELIEVE HIS REV WRIGHT, REZKO, AYERS, FLAGHER, ETC. EXCUSES AND HEMMING AND HAWWING?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! LOL x's A TRILLION!

I guess I just don't get anything close from McCain. Might make Obama seem higher because of McCain's shortcomings.

CAN YOU GO OVER OBAMA'S RESUME AGAIN, AND THEN COMPARE IT TO THAT TO McCAIN'S. GOD KNOWS I WAS NO BIG SUPPORTER OF McCAIN, BUT THERE IS ABSOLUTLY NO COMPARRISSON BETWEEN THE TWO WITH REGARDS TO ACOMPLISHMENTS IN LIFE.

Just look at what he had to deal with on day one, but some are now getting tired of the situation and whine for it to be over.

HE HAS PUT US, TO DATE, FOUR AND A HALF TIMES FURTHER IN DEBT THAN WE WERE WHEN HE TOOK OVER AND MANAGED TO SHED AN ADDITIONAL 2 MILLION JOBS. YET YOU'RE READY TO HAND HIM MORE OF YOUR LIBERTIES, AND YOUR MONEY AND LABOR. THEN YOU EXPECT US TO JUST QUITELY GO ALONG FOR THE MARXIST/EURO SOCIALIST RIDE. NO THANKS! THIS GUY'S AN IDEOLOGICAL MADMAN, AND THOSE WHO FOLLOW HIM ARE FOLLOWING RIGHT ALONG WITH A JONESTOWN MENTALITY. AGAIN, I READ HIS BOOKS! DID YOU?

I can hear the shrill sound bites of Palin coming from the TV.

The difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull?
Lipstick?

I would have said hockey moms don't lick their own dicks, but maybe that doesn't apply to her situation . . .

If he "educates' you on the economy, maybe it's your intellect we should be looking into. He hasn't said anything remotely interesting or intelligent about our economy. He selected several people who are unqualified for their various positions.

His speech about rev. Wright avoided any sort of reasons why he sat there for 20 years sucking that nonsense up. In fact, the good Rev. was quoted just the other day(paraphrasing here) that "I haven't spoken to Obalama because the jews around him won't let him talk to me." No response from Obalama, natch. His response to Bill Ayres was a similar ducking of the essential issue. It was all about how he was 8 years old when Ayres was killing people. He never explained his frequent & close association with him in more recent times, you know when he was well past 40.

McCain was widely respected by both sides as a bi-partisan man who worked to get things done. I supported him in 2000 & 2008. I'm not happy with how he ran his campaign but when the MSM is lined up as one behind the unknown moron, I'm not sure how effective any campaign would've been.

You keep harping on Sarah Palin. Yet she apparently strikes a chord with a large portion of the population. I agree she's no Biden (!) but she could get there with time. And plenty of drink.

What was Palin's position on anything? Support the troups? WTF is that? How about she supports breathing.

All she did was accuse. Wright, Ayers was her favorite. "Real America"?
Her smaller government was about hunting licenses (in her mind).
She doesn't know anything. Nothing. She flirts. You like.

"He hasn't said anything remotely interesting or intelligent about our economy"

I watched him speak on national TV for 30 minutes on the economy. Explained the entire mess, a few months ago.
(back in 2008 when it was announced, W walked to a podium for a 20 second reading, then walked away)

Myself on the other hand, yes, I am an economic moron. When I watch the experts speak, I take a side.
I want growth if it acknowledges what's happening to the environment and climate. People that will lose a lot of money
will spend a lot to fight that. Not for you, for them. Not so that they can continue to employ, just for them. Profit.
I understand the argument that we may cripple our global advantage. Maybe. If that's all we ever had, an economic advantage.

I get none of this from Olberman, Maddow, Mathews, Rush, Hannity, Beck. None.
CSPAN, Charlie Rose, PBS, Bill Moyers. Yes. Blogs. Yes.

McCain was as cold a human being as I have ever seen during that campaign. Disingenuous. As though he was warning us.

Obama has vision. And a lot of fights ahead to get it done.

I agree that Wright is a jerk. I also agree with his outrage (Wright's). Not all, but most.

Why stay at the church? Visibility. It's probably first base in political office 101.

I don't believe for a second that Obama has that hate in him.
More like determination. Acknowledgment.

I also agree my Palin harping is old. Stuns me that she gets any support.
