Pdog that article does not refute anything that I posted. In fact it confirms much of it. It has become sport to file ethics grievances against Sarah Palin. To date she has had to defend herself on 15 separate occasions. She has won on all 15 charges, yet the charges keep coming. I don't care who the article says files the charges. The fact is that there is a concerted effort to keep using state law against her. Those that are doing the filing know full well that she will have to defend herself, and as the article makes clear, that is an expensive task. She has already shelled out over half a million dollars of her own money, and is now being forced to hold fundraisers. If I were a Democrat I would be ashamed of my party for going after her like this. It is nothing more than a political witch hunt, and because of the vagrancies of Alaskan law the Democrats know full well that they can just continue to hound her over and over again ad nauseum. The article claims that all charges, save one, have been filed by Alaskans. Big deal! If you don't think that the DNC is behind this effort to destroy Sarah Palin then I have a bridge to sell you. It's pathetic! The hatred, and fear, of Sarah Palin is total, and nothing will stop the haters from seeking her political demise. I have a very funny feeling that Palin is going to have the last laugh. In fact I'd bet on it.

Riffy

You're claiming that The DNC is conspiring against Palin... did the RNC conspire against The Clintons? you're screaming fire, in a burning theater.
If you really want to prove this conspiracy, it is real easy. You get the names of those filing, you find out who they are, and if they are democrats, then you find out if they are doing this as a concerted group effort... not really hard to do... this type of conspiracy would be easy to prove. Palin said she would be transparent, and all the complaints are regarding her ethics as governor... it's already shown she charged the state so she could work at the home away from the capitol. She had the childrens trips, paid for by the state, when she was supposed to be on work trips. She charged the state way more than these legal bills in BS per diems for her family. She wanted the job, she couldn't handle the job. She also opened her mouth inviting people to go after her, with all her talk... If she can't handle this, then she would've sucked as veep.
I watched Republicans, in office, so they are RNC memebers, go after Bill Clinton, directly for years. Many of who, were alter just as bad, cheating lying ect... You show me direct links to DNC and these things with Palin, i'm all ears. I think both of these parties are bullshit power hungry liars, who do not give a crap about anything but power  and there own personal agenda. I really do not feel bad for too many of them, when they get held accountable. Shit alaska is the one state doing it right in this regard. Too many are too quick to protect elected officals from being accountable. You yourself are upset that Obama is using his power to hide his admis actions, which is exactly what Bush did too... you weren't upset with Bush, we talked about it. i'm sick to death about it now and then... you really can't see the forrest from the trees? c'mon.

Media bias, what media bias???

NEW YORK (AP) — Even President Barack Obama, a gleam in his eye as he talked at the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association dinner two weeks ago, seemed to recognize the special relationship he's forged with TV networks in the opening months of his administration.

"A few nights ago I was up tossing and turning and trying to figure out exactly what to say," he said. "Finally, when I couldn't get back to sleep, I rolled over and asked Brian Williams what he thought."

The reference to the NBC anchor and host of the prime-time "Inside the Obama White House" special this spring drew loud laughter.

There's no denying that broadcast networks and the president have occasionally worked for their mutual benefit: Obama gets public platforms for his ideas and the networks get programming that delivers strong ratings at a time when that's hard to come by.

"Inside the Obama White House" was a hit, costing relatively little to produce, for a network that's starved for hits. The two-part series was rerun the same week that it originally aired.

Two of the three most-watched episodes of "60 Minutes" last TV season were devoted to Obama, topped by the 25.1 million people who watched Steve Kroft conduct the first postelection interview with the president-elect in November. An interview with Obama's brain trust that aired a week earlier drew 18.5 million viewers, and another Obama interview in March had 17 million viewers. The season average for the CBS newsmagazine was 14.3 million, Nielsen Media Research said.

CBS' "Face the Nation" had its biggest audience of the year when Obama appeared on March 29.

The dry subject matter of ABC's prime-time discussion with the president on health care last month meant it wasn't a big hit, but it still did better in its time slot than anything else ABC had put on in six weeks. The "Nightline" that completed the discussion that night beat David Letterman and Conan O'Brien in the ratings.

"Obama should change his middle name from Hussein to Nielsen," said Gail Shister, a writing instructor at the University of Pennsylvania.

The idea of a president who grabs ratings still seems strange, as does the notion a network will need him. Yet Obama has been reliable when so many other things that broadcasters have been trying are failures.

Strong public interest in the president and his policies explains why so many people in television, magazines and newspapers want to speak to him, said Mark Whitaker, Washington bureau chief for NBC News.

Jon Banner, veteran executive producer of ABC's "World News," said the White House has clearly sought to make Obama more available to networks than recent presidents have been. Obama is personally popular, more so than his policies at this point, and he's his own best salesman, he said.

"We will take every opportunity that's given to us to question the president about the plans he has," Banner said. "I would not turn any of these opportunities down."

The network says it does not play favorites. It said the Bush administration turned down several invitations for town hall-style meetings similar to the one ABC recently organized for Obama.

Obama's critics have raised questions of fairness. Announcement of the ABC plans set Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele in motion trying to raise money to buy airtime for a dissenting opinion on health care.

"The mainstream media has finally decided to dispense with the pointless denial of favorable coverage of the Obama administration," Steele wrote in a memo to Republicans. ABC countered that it brought in people with disparate points of view to question Obama on health care.

Still, Obama received plenty of prime-time minutes to state his case, and ABC televised parts of "Good Morning America" and "World News" from the White House, too.

Whitaker said NBC took advantage of its access filming "Inside the Obama White House" to film two Williams interviews with the president. News organizations shouldn't be criticized for spending time with a president, but for how they are using that time, he said.

Some of it played like a valentine, however: See how hard the new president's staff works! It's a good bet Obama doesn't take orders and goes out to buy staff members hamburgers too often when the cameras aren't rolling. Williams also asked Obama about O'Brien, a clip that allowed for some high-level promotion of the new "Tonight" show host.

While NBC has taken similar insider looks at past presidents, they got one prime-time hour. Obama got four.

"Are you going to blame NBC for giving that much time to a very exclusive, interesting and revealing look behind the scenes at the White House? Compared to what, more of `The Biggest Loser'?" Whitaker said.

The mutual star-making machinery may not last forever. As Obama holds more news conferences — many of them dry and lawyerly — the viewership is going down. Networks like exclusive opportunities to do things their competitors haven't, but are no longer happy running prime-time news conferences.

"Some of the blockbuster ratings appeal is starting to wear off a little," Whitaker said.

Ah, Mr. Riffhard.  We know we can always count on you for some laughs.

Why would the DNC want to "destroy" Sarah Palin? The DNC
would probably like nothing better than for Sarah Palin to remain
in the spotlight forever.  As long as she's the Great White Hope
of the Republicans, sane Americans will have no choice but to
vote for Democrats. The "hatred and fear" of Ms. Palin which your
keen Chicken Little radar has picked up is actually the sound of
millions of eyes rolling.

Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

Your speech about the "political witch hunt" was rousing.  It must
have been inspiring to see you taking a stand against all the
Republicans who spent so much of the 90s trying to prove Bill
Clinton was guilty of murder, mayhem and marital infidelities.
You DID take a stand against that, right?

As far as the people of her own state filing ethics complaints
because Ms. Palin dared them to - she should've perhaps learned
from the mistakes of George W. Bush.  Even he eventually
figured out that if you say "bring 'em on", they will come.

Oh, by the way, you probably mean "vagaries" rather than
"vagrancies".  'Vagaries" are unpredictable or erratic actions-
much like Ms. Palin's  resignation speech. Although "vagrancies"
generally refers to wandering without visible means of support,
it can also mean "wandering in mind or thought", which could
also refer to Ms. Palin's remarkable speech.

Did you see that speech, Mr. Riffhard?  What about it would
you say struck the most  fear into the black hearts of democrats?

I think it was when she said "*((Gotta put First Things First!))*" .  That and the
parts about how unfair the media has been to her.

Hey, remember when she said this, about a certain someone "whining" that  the media was unfair to her:

Fair or unfair, I think she does herself a disservice to even mention it. You gotta to plow through that. You have to know what you're getting into -- which, I say this with all due respect to Hillary Clinton, and to her experience and to her passion for changing the status quo also -- but when I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism or you know maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, 'man that doesn't do us any good' -- women in politics, women in general wanting to progress this country, I don't think it bodes well for her, a statement like that. Because, again, fair or unfair, it is there, I think that's reality, and I think it's a given. I think people can just accept that she is going to be under the sharper microscope. So be it. I mean, work harder, prove yourself to an even greater degree that you're capable, that you're going to be the best candidate, and that of course is what she wants us to believe at this point. So it bothers me a little bit hearing her bring that attention to herself on that level.

A New York congressman says Michael Jackson was a "pervert" and calls on society to stop "glorifying" the late entertainer in a YouTube video.

Rep. Peter King said Jackson -- whom he called a "low-life" -- is being glorified in the days after his death while society ignores the efforts, of teachers, police officers, firefighters and veterans. In the two-minute video, King claims the "day in and day out" coverage of Jackson's death is "too politically correct."

"Let's knock out the psychobabble," King said in the video taped outside an American Legion Hall on New York's Long Island. "He was a pervert, a child molester; he was a pedophile. And to be giving this much coverage to him, day in and day out, what does it say about us as a country? I just think we're too politically correct."

King, a Republican who is among the possible contenders for the seat held by Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, said Jackson "may have been a good singer" and "did some dancing," but blasted the singer as someone who could not be trusted around children.

"There's nothing good to say about this guy," King continued. "But the bottom line is, would you let your child or grandchild be in the same room as Michael Jackson?"

Calls placed to King early Monday were not immediately returned.

In 2005, Jackson was acquitted of molesting a boy who spent time at his Neverland ranch and appeared with him in the 2003 British documentary, "Living With Michael Jackson." The entertainer had been accused of plying the boy with alcohol and groping him.

Earlier, in 1993, Jackson was accused of molesting a boy who often stayed at his home. The singer denied any wrongdoing, reached a settlement with the boy's family -- reported to be $20 million -- and criminal charges were never filed.

Stacy Brown, co-author of "Michael Jackson: The Man Behind the Mask," said King's comments were "irresponsible and insensitive" despite the fact he too thought Jackson had molested children.

"I'm not surprised that someone would feel that way," Brown told FOXNews.com. "I'm surprised that you would get a public official to say that. Let's face it, I'm not one to believe that Michael was innocent of molesting children, but he was never convicted. If he was convicted of those crimes, then hey, I'd have to agree with him."

Brown said the molestation allegations against Jackson were "devastating," professionally and personally.

"In hindsight, it was the beginning of the end of his life because I don't think he ever recovered," he said. "This was a guy who spent most of his life protecting his privacy and that was shattered, obliterated during the trial [in 2005]. He was undressed during that trial."

Jackson had partially "recovered" from allegations of molestation during the 1990s, Brown said, in part due to his marriage to Lisa Marie Presley and the birth of his children. Still, some previous fans of Jackson had grown tired of the controversy surrounding the singer.

"He lost a lot of his adult audience, people who grew weary of the weirdness," Brown said. "But he reached far and wide and was able to sell 750,000 tickets for this comeback tour. Americans particularly and the world in general loves a comeback story."

Brown continued, "There was no one else like Michael Jackson. He was Elvis, the Rolling Stones, Sinatra and the Bealtes all rolled into one."

Copy from Fox News interview with Liz Trotta:

It's very easy to say that the liberal media is caving in on her, and yes, they are; but she has given them a lot of raw meat. The woman is inarticulate, undereducated, and I pose this question: 'What do you think William F. Buckley would have thought of her as the standard-bearer for the conservative party?'

I think a lot of this criticism is well-deserved.

...This is one of the rare cases where I think all the liberal stylists like Maureen Dowd, Gail Collins, and the rest of them really have a case. I mean, she just begs for adjectives like flaky and wacky.

...[Maureen Dowd's column] was a well written, funny piece. And, you know, there's one other element here, and I think most writers are afraid to bring it up. They sort of skirt the idea that this is a woman who has used her good looks and her gender to really get ahead in the political world. That's something, of course, the men don't want to admit, and certainly not the women.

So what are we talking about here? We're not talking about a great statesman of profound experience whose banner is integrity. We're talking about somebody who, right from the get-go, has been a flashy person who gets into a lot of trouble and really has no credentials for any job.

and how many is that? I guess comapred to right wing christian conservative Stones fans, it is a huge number... you have these numbers right... we need facts, just saying stuff over and over, doesn't make a statistic or a group real... basically you're trying to say, Obama supporters are kid fuckers right... I like that, it's good, but coming from stones fans, it kinda laffable if you really think about it... Jagger sang of fucking 15 year olds... what about drugs? let's be real... Jackson the pop star and Jackson the accused child molester, can be seperated.... one doesn't improve or discount the other... it is what it is... kinda like how a really stupid rich kid who drank too much until he was 40, can be president... sometimes even really messed up people get to do really popular are big things!!!
