****CUT & PASTE ALERT*****

IF YOU ARE A LIBERAL AND CAN READ, YOU MAY WANT TO LEAVE THE BOARD
-------------
The U.S. military is tracking a flagged North Korean ship suspected of proliferating weapons material in violation of a U.N. Security Council resolution passed last Friday, FOX News has learned.

The ship, Kang Nam, left a port in North Korea Wednesday and could be carrying weaponry, missile parts or nuclear materials. The U.S. military has been tracking it since its departure.

"It is believed to be 'of interest,'" a senior U.S. official told FOX News.

This is the first suspected "proliferator" that the U.S. and its allies have tracked from North Korea since the United Nations authorized the world's navies to enforce compliance with a variety of U.N. sanctions aimed at punishing North Korea for its recent nuclear test.

The apparent violation raises the question of how the United States and its allies will respond, particularly since the U.N. resolution does not have a lot of teeth to it.

The resolution would not allow the United States to forcibly board the ship. Rather, U.S. military would have to request permission to board -- a request North Korea is unlikely to grant.

North Korea has said that any attempt to board its ships would be viewed as an act of war and promised "100- or 1,000-fold" retaliation if provoked.
--------------

Oh!  So now the resolution does not have teeth?
I though Obama said it did?
Wow, that would make him a liar!
Okay so we think this ship may have something illegal aboard -- will we confront it, as allowed by the Resolution?  Even Joe Biden said Sunday that the US now has to enforce the Resolution.  Christ, if Biden understand, surely Obama must too!!

Bozell: National Media Has Sold Its Soul to Obama

Thursday, June 18, 2009 1:47 PM

By: Jim Meyers

Brent Bozell, founder and president of the Media Research Center, tells Newsmax that the Barack Obama administration is playing the media "like a violin" to promote their "new socialism."

And Bozell, who also runs Cybercast News Service, said the media for their part have "sold their soul" and become "propaganda outlets" to help Obama.

Newsmax.TV's Ashley Martella pointed out that ABC is allowing Obama and his team to advocate his healthcare reform plan on the night of June 24, while not allowing Republicans to present their own plan or permitting paid advertisements offering opposing viewpoints. He asked Bozell for his take on ABC's decision.

See Video: Brent Bozell discusses the fawning media coverage of Obama - Click Here Now

"Imagine this for a second: Imagine a world, say four years ago, when ABC News would go to George Bush and offer to give him two hours of national airtime to promote his war on terror, specifically the war in Iraq," Bozell said.

"And [ABC would] not allow any opposing viewpoints to what he had to say, not allow any advertising that might dispute him, give him unfettered propaganda access to the American people. Just try to imagine that craziness and then you understand how crazy this is.

IF YOU ARE A LIBERAL AND CAN READ, PLEASE GO TO THE NEAREST BATHROOM AND PLAY WITH YOURSELF FOR A MINUTE WHILE OTHERS READ ABOUT HOW THE FED IS GONNA NOW RUN THE FINANCIAL ARMS OF VARIOUS COMPANIES

BOSTON (Reuters) - The possibility of the Federal Reserve gaining regulatory authority over General Electric Co's hefty finance arm could influence how the company restructures that business.

When President Barack Obama this week unveiled his proposal for the most sweeping overhaul of U.S. financial regulations since the 1930s, he proposed the central bank oversee not just banks but "other large firms that pose a risk to the entire economy in the event of failure."

That was a reference to troubled insurer American International Group, which has received roughly $180 billion in government bailout money. But GE investors said the label could just as easily apply to the U.S. conglomerate's finance business, a major commercial lender.

"I could definitely see that potentially becoming an issue if companies like GE and their finance arms came under more scrutiny," said Perry Adams, vice president and senior portfolio manager at Huntington Private Financial Group in Traverse City, Michigan, which holds GE shares.

riffy? nanky? you and obama were on the same side with the pirates....how about the fly issue?

see? he's a take charge kind of guy! he got that sucker....

--------------------
PETA wishes Obama hadn't swatted that fly

June 17, 2009 - 9:29 PM
The Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) - The group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants the flyswatter in chief to try taking a more humane attitude the next time he's bedeviled by a fly in the White House.

PETA is sending President Barack Obama a Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher, a device that allows users to trap a house fly and then release it outside.

"We support compassion even for the most curious, smallest and least sympathetic animals," PETA spokesman Bruce Friedrich said Wednesday. "We believe that people, where they can be compassionate, should be, for all animals."

During an interview for CNBC at the White House on Tuesday, a fly intruded on Obama's conversation with correspondent John Harwood.

"Get out of here," the president told the pesky insect. When it didn't, he waited for the fly to settle, put his hand up and then smacked it dead.

"Now, where were we?" Obama asked Harwood. Then he added: "That was pretty impressive, wasn't it? I got the sucker."

Friedrich said that PETA was pleased with Obama's voting record in the Senate on behalf of animal rights and noted that he has been outspoken against animal abuses.

Still, "swatting a fly on TV indicates he's not perfect," Friedrich said, "and we're happy to say that we wish he hadn't."

Deputy press secretary Josh Earnest said the White House has no comment on the matter.

If President Bush had swatted the fly, Rachel Madcow & company would take PETA's side. Since it was this new asshole, they think it shows how "cool" he is. I've never seen a 47-year-old man be so dainty before. Cool? My ass!

Look who just caught up!!

VIENNA (Reuters) - Iran wants the ability to build nuclear weapons to gain the reputation of a major power in the Middle East, the head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog said in a BBC interview broadcast on Wednesday.

Tehran denied the assertion. But International Atomic Energy Agency Director-General Mohamed ElBaradei told Iran at an IAEA meeting that it would not be trusted unless "you go the extra mile" and lift restrictions on U.N. inspections.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's disputed re-election last week has cast doubt on Western powers' hope of a dialogue with Iran aimed at curbing its uranium enrichment program, which Iran says is for generating electricity only.

ElBaradei said the Islamic Republic sees a nuclear breakout ability as an "insurance policy" against perceived threats from neighboring countries or the United States.

"My gut feeling is that Iran definitely would like to have the technology ... that would enable it to have nuclear weapons if they decided to do so," he told the BBC.

Since 1998, PETA has opted to “put down” 21,339 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens instead of finding homes for them. PETA’s “Animal Record” report for 2008, filed with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, shows that the animal rights group killed 95 percent of the dogs and cats in its care last year. During all of 2008, PETA found adoptive homes for just seven pets.

If the Republican leadership could stop with the God and family values BS, and maybe acknowledge we are all humans evolving from the same ancestor as the apes, we could all certainly forgive their stupid affairs. Even me. What matters is the legislation they support . This is complete posturing. Same for the Dems. FTA (Fuck them all).

I was working at my computer so I don't know who it was, but it definitely was a southern (R) Congressman talking about his concern that Obama isn't speaking to the Iranian protesters. WTF, they know what's up. They are all blogging/twittering US websites. They know Obama's position. Southern Senators surely don't have a clue. He was saying something about freedom and liberty. From a southern Congressman? What a fucking joke. Doesn't he realize there are no white folks over there. Why would he care about Iran. Oh, he doesn't. It was a sound byte opportunity for his reelection campaign.

Not saying the Dems don't do the same thing with their local hot issues. Just that we should all remember to enjoy our lives while we can. There is no afterlife where we reunite with fallen loved ones. This is it. Try to help out who you can and have a fun time.

PS Inspiration tonight = Vodka + Rose's Sweetened Lime juice and lots of ice.

I read a lot of pure racism on this thread. We are ALL descendants from the same ancestor AS apes, not descendants FROM apes.
Why don't you try to see what the science says. It certainly has come a long way since the 80's. They have the Great Transformational evidence. Fish to reptiles. Wolves to whales. Hominids to Humans. The whole tetrapod lineage.

The fossil record has shown us the lineage. The Burgess shale, the Cambrian explosion. Darwin was brilliant and correct beyond his imagination, and DNA has proved his theories years after he died.

But there is a great fear that the f-ing moral minority can't fathom the truth, and that religion would lose it's power to steer human society. No, it's all about a supernatural creator that created us in HIS image.

Poof, there's human's.
Poof, there's the animal kingdom.
Poof, there's vegetation.
There's Intelligent Design in a nutshell for you. Proof? Well, this book says so. 1 book that has plagiarized no less that nine religions that preceded it. Hercules,  etc. It's just folklore. Look it up.

So let's all "leave unto Cesar what is Cesar's". Think about that riduculus statement. Don't fret that you ain't got shit, you'll get your just rewards after your life has ended? Count on it. That's what your f-ing Sarah Palin says. Because 1 book said so.

God is a concept, on which we measure our pain . . .

PS Humans are evolutionarily closer to apes than horses are to donkeys. We share 98.9% of our genes with chimpanzees.

A mule is the offspring to the pairing of horses and mules. Guess what . . . that's right.
