Well so much for the great Obama outreach to the Muslim world.

Iran "reelected" the nutcase, the Iranians are in the streets demanding a recount, that oddly democratic notion that your elections be done legally, and what do we hear from Obama?

Nothing.

He doesn't want to get involved now that the democracy he indicated he wanted to see is getting kicked in the teeth.

Empty words is what he knows.

I for one am satisfied with Obama's statement regarding the Iranian election. Perfect tone for me.
Also, I believe the Cairo speech was effective, and that the dissent in Iraq is a positive development.

There was a time when the American president let the world know that America stands behind, and supports those who are vying for freedom and democracy. Today we get a mealy mouthed punk ass liberal who says that he does not want to appear to be "meddling" in the election process in Iran! He doesn't want to appear to be "influencing" the "affairs of Iran". Ain't that a kick in the teeth to Israel, You remember Israel right, funman? Well your cult leader Barry just told Israel to go fuck right off! I guess he has no problem "meddling" with the "affairs of Israel".

Reagan would kick this little fuckhead in the teeth!

Fuck Barry! He's the most inept, under qualified, dangerous president in the history of the USA, and that you can't, or won't, acknowledge that fact is stunning.

Hey funman, Barry has now collared the USA and the next four generations of Americans with 12 trillion in debt, he has lost over a million jobs, and he he has not even spent one penny on health care yet! He sucks! Deal with it.

Here you go funman. Try this. Do you think that the little piss ant president that a bunch of brain dead drones voted for this time around would ever have the balls or the courage, and will to deliver a message like this to, at the time, the most dangerous regime on the planet?!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK30k2WTxY0

This is a great, I said GREAT president letting the entire world know that America is the world's last best hope! What does your boy do. He apologizes. He equivates. He bullshits. He lies.

Obama sucks. Period.

You sure have allowed hate to become your primary emotion. Gotta watch that blood pressure/heart.

I think that was a good moment for Reagan, but wouldn't call him great.

There is much written about how very little Reagan really had to do with the fall of the Soviet Union.
I can say that Reagan provided my career, so I should be thankful for that  . . .
He did cut taxes in 1981, but raised them every other year he was in office.

While he was President he made many stupid comments (homeless choose to be, trees aren't necessary, etc)
Or Nancy's "just say no" campaign. They really don't understand the problem. Unimpressive to me.

Hate? Me? No none at all. I do hate what the media has managed to do this country. I do hate that so many drone voted for a man that they knew nothing about. Other than that I have zero hate in me.

Many things written about how Reagan had next to nothing to do with the fall of the USSR?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Written by who? Some fucking leftist hack like Paul Krugman? Why not talk to actual historians and people that were there at the time. They all give Reagan massive, MASSIVE, credit for the fall of the Soviet Union. Reagan, Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II brought the Soviets to their knees. Even Russian historians acknowledge this FACT.

As for his tax cuts. He cut far far far far far far far more taxes than Barry would ever consider. In fact Barry has cut exactly zero! He claim that he has, and some people are stupid enough to believe that, but all he has done is play a shell game. He lowers this tax just so can raise that tax. To those not paying attention it looks like he actually cares. To those that are wise enough to follow the shells it's easy to see what he's really doing.

Reagan created 20 million jobs while he was in office, and these were real jobs. Not dot com bubble jobs which were created and quickly lost during the Bubba Clinton era. Oh, don't get me wrong. I now long for the days of Clinton after this fucking disaster. To date 1.4 million jobs have been lost during the Obama reign of terror.

Here read a few FACTS about the single greatest president since Lincoln. And don't give me any horseshit about FDR!! That man created the welfare state that Barry is quickly expanding upon to the detriment of all of us.

20 million new jobs were created during the Reagan presidency
(U.S. Statistical Abstract)

-Of these 20 million new jobs:
-The average hourly wage was $10/hr.
-46.1% were over $28,048/yr, and another 46.2% were from
     $7,012-$28,048/yr, while only 6% were under $7,012/yr.

-During the Carter administration (1977-80), of the new jobs
created, 41,77% were under $7,012, 68.2% were in the $7,012-
$28,048/yr bracket, and 9.9% of the pre-existing jobs in the
$28,048 and up bracket were actually lost (Joint Economic
Committee, based on data from Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S.
Department of Labor)

-During Reagan’s presidency he decreased the tax rate of the
richest quintile from 70% in 1981 to 31% in 1988 (Joint
Economic Committee, 1990)

-In 1981, the beginning of Reagan’s presidency, the top 5% of
wage earners paid 35% of federal income taxes, while the bottom
50% paid 8%.  By 1988, the end of Reagan’s presidency, the top
5% paid 46% of the federal taxes, while the bottom 50% paid 6%
(Joint Economic Committee, 1990)

-Inflation went down during Reagan’s time in office. In 1980 the
CPI (Consumer Price Index) was 13.5, and in 1984 it dropped to
4.3, and eventually to 4.1 by 1988. (Economic Report of the
President, January, 1993)

-Middle class families earning between $20,000-$50,000/year had
a 28% growth in net worth during Reagan’s time in office
(National Review, April 18, 1994)

-The government brought in increased amounts of tax revenue from
the highest economic quintile during the Reagan Years (55.7
bill. In 1980, 55.9 in 1985, 58.1 in 1989), while the lowest
quintile (2.0, 1.9, 1.6) and the middle quintile (13.4, 13.1,
12.6) both gave increasingly less during those same years
(Congressional Budget Office)

-The U.S. Congress outspent Ronald Reagan’s proposed budget
every year he was in office, save 1984 (Budget Message of the
President, FY's 81 to 89)

-The national deficit was approx. 2.6% of the U.S. GNP when
Reagan entered office, and only 2.8% of the GNP when he left
(Congressional Budget Office)

-The Stock Market rose from 777 to 3,000 points during Reagan’s
presidency, even after the crash of 1987. (Almanac of U.S.
History)

-Both Michael Dell (Head of Dell Computers) and Cypress
Semiconductors CEO, T.J. Rodgers agree that it was Reagan’s
decrease in government regulation and taxes that allowed
computer and electronic entrepreneurs to thrive (D’Souza,
Ronald Reagan…p. 125)

So there ya go. There are some real honest to God true facts. Not the conservative hating crap spewed by the likes of Paul Krugman.

Did you notice that Reagan cut taxes for all Americans, and not just the "rich" as so many liberal pundits love to claim. Liberals lie. One day you might actually figure that out.

GREAT??  That senile old hack is more responsible for
the mess we're in now than anyone.   And LESS
responsible for the implosion of the USSR than his
hagiographers will ever admit.

Mr Riffhard acts as if everything was positively hunky-dory
when Bush handed the keys over to Obama, and that all of
our current woes originated and came to fruition in the last
6 months.  Meanwhile Mr Nankerphelge has seized on the
concept of "Bush hiccups", which goes a step further into
unreality by forbidding even the mention of Bush, as if the
last eight years had absolutely no bearing on the present.
Unfortunately for both men, neither of these delusional
concepts will win them any debates, no matter how much
they accuse their opponents of homosexuality.

In their nostalgia for the heady days of the
"Reagan Revolution" - a sort of Republican
Camelot, I suppose, with overtones of the

bitter, disillusioned, defeated deadenders.

you've received word over your tinfoil

Why do you think he's emptying Gitmo?
He has to free all the terrorists to make

Have his college transcripts ever been released? I mean, I know BJ will tell us what a brainiac he is but it'd be nice to have some proof!

at rehearsal last night, ringo busted into "she's a rainbow" and "sing this all together" on the piano. i too have been listening to the album this morning as well.

take off "in another land", "sing this all together see what happens" and replace them with JJF and COTM and you have the big five right there.

If the Republican party actually fielded a conservative along the lines of Reagan they would never lose an election. The problem is that Repubs are putting up nominees like McCain. Now only the truly brain dead amongst us believe that McCain is, or ever was, a conservative. There once was a poster that used to pollute this very thread (Hello, Jesus!) with laughable horseshit talk about McCain being a conservative!

Thank you. That is all.

Dear Mr. Riffhard:  I never called Mr. McCain a "conservative".  I called him a "noted liberal pansy panty-waist" (in jest, obviously, although I guess I need to spell that out for you) and " a great American war hero", but never a "conservative".

Also, you keep saying "that is all", but you keep coming back.

I don't know if those were recorded early enough. They were released in '68.

I just heard that today the House Republicans are voting against refunding the troops.

Guess they were never serious about their support all these years . . .
