Strange choice for Powell.  Its clear that he couldn't stand the ineptitude of George Walker Bush III - I think he's embarrased he ever had anything to do with those schlubs.  But he has always been a fan of John McCain.

I think race played a reason in his decision to back Obama.  That or closet pro-Marxalism.  Red under the bed.  Red under the black.

I would say, since it doesn't matter with conjecture, that Palin makes him sick, and death is a huge factor... Imagine a Palin presidancy!!!

There is no chance of a Palin presidency.  That's a scare tactic.  Not voting for McCain because of Palin is like boycotting your favorite bar because they start serving light beer.

John McCain is the new brand of old school Neo-American that will restore this country to greatness after 8 years of being reduced to slovenly swill dripping out the back of deep fried fish truck.

John McCain had picked up my critical RO endorsement.  He soars like an eagle on god-fearing wings of greatness.

No chance of a Palin presidency?  You got access to McOld's medical records, Doc?  Or do you assume they'll have time to do a Spiro (dig up some old scandal, force her resignation and appoint a qualified veep) on her before McCoot croaks?  Not very reassuring.  The problem with Palin, as Powell among many others notes, is what her selection says about McCain's judgment.

Powell also called this whole "Joe Plumber-Sixpack/anti-elitist" campaign angle by its true and etymologically precise name:  demagoguery.

So Powell supports The Marxist One? Gee the media are gonna be all over this! I wonder if they will show an equal amount of enthusiasm about the fact that four prior Sec of States and over 200 generals support McCain? You think that that will get any airplay? LOL!

Oh, and Pdog, I'm not telling you to read what I want you to read, or believe what I believe. I'm merely suggesting that you read the story about exactly what Obama believes and the way he has formed his belief system. In other words, read outside sources to get your information. Even I read from sources that are polarly opposite from my worldveiw just so I could make an informed choice. I, as I have previously stated, have read both of Barry's books. I have also read his tax plan, such as it is. And I know with every single fiber in my being that if most Americans knew the trth about this man we'd be talking about a Hillary vs McCain presidential run.

My girlfreind is a perfect example. She was a massive Obama supporter until she decided that it might be wise to do some serious investigating for herself (at my urging! LOL!) about who he is, and how he formed his opinions on things. To say that she is petrified about the prospect of an Obama presidency is an understatement of overwhelming proportions. She has done what most Obams supporters have not done. She has researched him from the perspective of reality, and not from the all Obama all the time media perspective. She told me that it was the "most illuminating political bitchslap" that she has ever been faced with. It took her very little time to peel her Obama '08 sticker from the bumper of her car! She is now trying to do exactly I am doing. She is informing her friends about who the real Barrack Obama is.

The Palin isn't qualified argument is just flat out stupid!! She has WAY WAY WAY more executive experience than does Barry! That's just a fact! Barry's only executive experience is sitting on a board for The Woods Foundation and, as recommended by William Ayers, being put in charge of giving away 50 million bucks for "educational needs"! Kind of a laugh really. Since not one single red cent was given to any public school! No, it was rather given away to leftist programs to teach left wing veiws to maleable youngins! FACT!

It's a stupid assed argument also because it never bothers to take into account the very real fact that Barry has less experience than does Palin in any exective position. Not to mention the fact that she is #2 on the ticket! Barry is the most underqualified person to ever get the nomination of a major political party. FACT!

Those are FACTS people!

We're talking about a vice presidential candidate -one of the low factors in the presidential selection process.  The position holds no real value except to enhance image of the prime candidate.  Palin does that well.  Or at least did it well when it mattered.  McCain's judgment was fine.

And I don't assume a Spiro type deal sitch, I assume - in fact, I know - that in the unlikely event McCain falls ill, long PRIOR to that, we would see Palin resign "to spend more time with family" which would be quite legit given her family circumstances.

It's easy to try and claim that Palin has too little experience because it takes away from the fact that Barry has even less! LOL! Way less in fact!

143 days in the senate before trying, once again, to change jobs! It's been an ongoing theme since he got his start. He has never been a governor. He has never had to make a budget. He has never been in charge of a damned thing in fact. Stupid argument that is aimed at stupid people.

Facts don't seem to matter to the drone mentality of Obama supporters LJ. The country, or least a large percentage of it, has lost their minds. That, of course, is another fact that dosen't seem to creep into the minds of the uninformed.

Obama has ties to Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Guilt by association they say!

Obama has ties, including personal finacial ties, with Tony Rezko. Guilt by association they say!

Obama has direct campaign ties to Franklin Raines. Guilt by association they say!

Obama has direct campaign ties to James Johnson. Guilt by association they say!

Obama has direct ties to The Saul Alinsky Action Group (a radical communist group.) Guilt by association they say!

Obama, a former "community organizer", has direct ties to the largest community organizing group in America, ACORN, which is under federal investigation in 11 states and is accused of the largest claim of voter fraud in the history of the country. Guilt by association they say!

See here---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vJcVgJhNaU&eurl=http://hotair.com/archives/2008/...

So it seems that facts don't matter at all. When confronted by cold hard facts Obamadrones always fall back on the guilt by association canard. When I was a kid I was told not lie down with dogs for fear of waking up with fleas. Obama has laid down with dogs for his entire life. The drones just ignore them. You can bet your ass that had McCain been involved with abortion clinic bombers they would be screaming bloody murder. Liars! Hypocrites! Drones!

Riffy, please amend your list by the inclusion of Bill Ayers & Bernadette Dorn, the despicable twins who escaped conviction of attempting to bomb 21 buildings in NYC in the 70's as part of the Weather Underground on a technicality.  Why are people so blindto the associations of this man is beyond the pale...

Yep! He's guilty alright! He's guilty of piss poor judgement, and piss poor America bashing friends.

Will these facts come into play with the drones? Probably not. Strange but true.

This coming on the heals of revelations that one of McCain's top backers has ties to 60's hippy radical terrorist Willaim Ayers, McCainiacs take heart that latest polls suggest the Arizona senator still holds a commanding lead amongst Stupid White Guys.
