Re: Obama elected President

"he wasn't making fun of special needs kids, Limbaughdrone; he was making fun of himself."
Man, you libs sure know how to buy your own BS. Sure he was making fun of himself, by equating his bowling to that of special needs kids!! That is offensive, plain and simple.
But that is minor compared to his ethically-challenged administration. Not only is Geithner as tax cheat and slime-ball loser that Obama selected, but now he appears to be the one that asked Dodd to put the bonus language in the bailout bill. So both Dodd and Giethner knew precisely what was going on with the AIG bonuses -- but for their actions, the bonuses would not have been paid:
The “TARP cop” investigator responsible for exposing fraud in the $700 billion bailout fund told Congress on Thursday that he will launch a probe into the $165 million in bonuses granted by AIG.
Neil Barofsky, a special inspector general, said he will “act aggressively to recover the taxpayer’s money.”
Barofsky works out of an office in the Treasury Department, but reports directly to Congress and has broad authority to investigate anything associated with bailout expenditures.
News that Barofsky will probe the AIG bonus scandal put added pressure on embattled Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, who confirmed Thursday in a CNN interview that his department suggested Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Ct., alter language in the Trouble Assets Relief Program legislation.
Changes Dodd made at the behest of Geithner’s department may legally compromise efforts to recover the bonus money, legal experts say.
Dodd initially was a voice of outrage protesting the bonuses handed out by AIG at taxpayers’ expense. He changed his story, however, after Newsmax and other media outlets reported he had inserted key language -- known as the Dodd amendment -- into the $787 billion stimulus bill. The modification allowed payment of bonuses contracted for prior to Feb. 11, 2009.
That very amendment, which is now law, is expected to be the primary legal hurdle for government officials who want to recover the AIG bonuses.
Initially Dodd insisted he had nothing to do with the new provision. He later said that he had inserted the key language because the administration asked him to.
“The administration had expressed reservations,” Dodd told CNN on Wednesday. “They asked for modifications. The alternative was losing the amendment entirely.”
The Dodd amendment was intended to restrict executive pay for bailed-out banks. The exception requested by the Treasury Department granted an exception for "contractually obligated bonuses agreed on or before Feb. 11, 2009."
Dodd would not reveal which members of the Obama administration requested the AIG exception. But by early Thursday it became clear that Barofsky intended to find out.
In a CNN interview, Geithner provided part of the answer.
He confirmed that the request for Dodd to change his amendment came from his department. A transcript of the interview with CNN’s Ali Velshi reflected an effort to pin Geithner down on the specifics.

Giethner is gone, and none too soon.
