A VERY fair and balanced assessment of the situation from Tom Friedman, The New York Times:

Meanwhile, the Republican Party behaves as if it would rather see the country fail than Barack Obama succeed. Rush Limbaugh, the de facto G.O.P. boss, said so explicitly, prompting John McCain to declare about President Obama to Politico: “I don’t want him to fail in his mission of restoring our economy.” The G.O.P. is actually debating whether it wants our president to fail. Rather than help the president make the hard calls, the G.O.P. has opted for cat calls. It would be as if on the morning after 9/11, Democrats said they wanted no part of any war against Al Qaeda — “George Bush, you’re on your own.”

Once I got to this paragraph I just stopped reading. This entire paragraph is an outright lie! Or a distorted truth at best. I love the way that the entire media, and liberals like Friedman have completely taken Rush out of context. Again, I want to point out that I am
not the biggest Rush fan. I think he's great at his job, and is definitely a very strong and valuable voice for conservatism (not Republicanism), but I personally prefer Mark Levin. That said, what Limbaugh said was that he wants Obama to fail, "if he planned on taking the United States down the road to European style socialism". I agree with him 110% on that score! I hope that this man fails miserably with that agenda! As should every single American that has any sense of the greatness of our country, or it's true history! To support the bullshit agenda that Barry is trying to steer our country towards is flat out dangerous to me, to my children, and to my unborn grandchildren!! Same goes for every single American alive! Only a
true believer in socialism thinks that Obama's agenda will be good for the country! Either that or someone that has zero intellect.
But getting back to this cloistered-in a bubble-liberal-North Eastern-elitist-bastard Tom Friedman, allow me to blow this assinine paragraph out of the water with just a quick question. What the hell did the Democrat's want for Bush? Did they
ever want Bush to succeed, save for two or three weeks after 9/11?! NO! Hell no in fact! They fucking hated Bush! Most still do! They worship at the alter of the man/child who is in so far over his head that anyone with any sense at all knows it. Jim Cramer knows it. Warren Buffett knows it. A whole slew of liberal elite media types know it. China knows it. Iran knows it. North Korea knows it too. The only idiots that haven't figured it out yet are the Obamadrones! Yet even some of them are starting to figure it out!
So let's go back to 2006, and see what registered Democrats wanted for Bush, shall we? Did they want Bush to succeed?
This from a Fox News poll done at that time.
Fox’s question was revealing: “Regardless of how you voted in the presidential election, would you say you want President Bush to succeed or not?” Democrats said “not,” 51 percent to 40 percent - where the public at large wanted success by almost two to one.
So there you go. Further evidence that liberals asshats like Friedman love to take a radio host completely out of context, and then paint the entire Republican Party with a misquoted quote! Funny really except for one little thing. These same assholes completely ignore the fact that a full 51% of registered Democrats actually
wanted Bush to fail! Why? Because they are fucking drones that can't be bothered to support a president that they personally hated! Rather immature, huh? The exact same kind of idiotic immaturity that lead them down the path to drone-ism!
I can't wait until the Old Grey Lady is nothing more than a pile of rubble. The New York Times is a joke!
