For my friends who are the apparent targets of these accusations, I have a decoder cross-reference to help you understand what is trying to be conveyed here:

- Someday you might even get your head out of your ass = I wish you would have used MY criteria for deciding who to vote for.

- This guy is stupider than those who voted for him = see above.

- I'll mark you down in the brainless Obamadrone column = see above again.

- Facts mean nothing to the drone-like feeble minded types = facts and opinions are the same thing to me.

- These people are IN LOVE with the Dim One = I don't like what I am hearing from President Obama, so I'll insult you, and him.

- or what they have been told to say rather = since we say what we have been told to say, I reason that they must do the same.
(I mean really, who says what they're "told to say", although Rush does label his listeners ditto heads, pretty close)

In closing I would just say, remember how you felt when W was in. That's what they're going through . . . . with the added fear of losing their savings.

Fuman, you weren't here at the beginning of this thread (Iassume)but we had a few people who giggled when asked why they were opting for Obalama over McCain even though McCain had the smarts, experience & wisdom way beyond the turd who eventually won. They couldn't really respond & they still can't. Obalama isn't very bright & I hate that he's been portrayed that way in the media. Look at the article from The Telegraph that I pasted above. Obalama is "tired" from all his hard work. LOL Remember the guffaws when W said that being President was hard? And that was after 6 years of attacks from the Left. Obalama has gotten a free ride so far & he still is "tired." Poor baby. I bet he's never worked so hard in his life. You can take that to the bank.

You're right, I joined in very late in this thread. I still think there are "honest" differences in the opinions of the voters, as to why they voted a particular way. Obama is extremely bright, but I can see how one might feel that he isn't making the best decisions right now. I don't know, but I appreciate that he gets large groups of experts to his table, and makes everybody voice their opinion. It wasn't that way with W, from what I read. I know, I know, W is gone. Fair enough, but there is a lot left over still. It hasn't been very long.

fuman,
By now I'm sure it's clear to you that when glencar describes someone as "not very bright," he means that the person disagrees with him.  Glencar has yet to master the skill of disagreeing without being disagreeable.  In that, he is markedly inferior to his ideological soulmate, Riffhard.  Another disagreeable reactionary who you perhaps never had the displeasure to know because he disappeared from the board when his candidate lost was Fiji Joe.

Yeah, well I think I am guilty of similar tactics, and would like to get past it. I really mean it when I say that "I know how they feel". It seemed that I didn't know what was right or moral anymore, during the past 8 years. Sure there were people that felt the same disgust at some of W's decisions, but the media never gave them enough coverage to suit my outrage. I still feel that outrage, but no need to go into it here. So I try to pick through comments on this blog and see if I can determine their intent. What a country . . .

One more comment, does anybody really think things would be better now, had McCain won? I like McCain but his message didn't speak to me. Palin might be more capable than I realize, but she wouldn't talk to the media. No chance for my vote if you can't face the media. And her Fox interview was the icing on the cake for me. Does anyone buy that Fox interview? Oh, and the debate. "I might not answer the questions that I am asked" ? Yikes !!

"Extremely bright"?????? I've given enough examples now wherein he sure doesn't seem bright. Too much coke as a kid? As for him getting large groups of experts together, I recall during the campaign when he claimed he could get 2 people who "violently disagreed" with each other & get them to see their common ground. He can't even get along with Nanny Pelosi at this point. Look at this inane campaign against Rush Limbaugh. Do you recall W ever attacking a leftish radio talker? What's the point? I can't think of ONE decision this asshole has made that I agree with. But, despite waht my detractor between us claims, disagreeing with him isn't why I think he's dumb. I think he's dumb because he's unable to speak w/o a teleprompter, he's hesitant at best & he apparently doesn't know the difference between a door & a window. Oh yeah, he's clueless about the stock market yet I just heard him advising Americans to buy now for the long term. Frankly, we'd be better off taking stock advice from Ashlee Simpson.

That sounds great. Nothing like exercise to melt away stress, not that it won't start building up again. I used to play full court basketball to 100 or 120, with half that score being our half-time to refresh. Twice a week. Man, I sure miss those days . . . Have fun dude . . .

I don't know anybody who believes that. Nobody. Well, I guess you believe it, but I can't say that I know you . . .

I think a better argument would be that you believe McCain has more experience and that you feel he could have done a better job. That, IMO, would at least be arguable . . .

I have read some interesting debates on that point, but alas, I am not convinced.
