For all you drones that think it's gonna be so great to watch the rich get soaked I'd strongly suggest that you remember that you, your kids, your parents, and everybody you know will end up paying for this soaking of the rich.

Ain't it great? Wealth redistribution, I mean. Ain't it great? Marxism rocks, huh?! Fuck the rich hard working Peter to pay for poor fucking Paul! Great plan guys!

Here's an idea that your president (he sure as FUCK ain't mine!) would never even consider because he's a goddamned ideologue!

"I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer."

Who said that drones? I'll give you a hint. He is rolling over in his grave right now because the US electorate is so fucking stupid that they just helped destroy the nation that he helped create! Koolaid drinking fucking drones!

I TOLD YOU SO!!!!

"Blessed are the young, for they shall inherit Obama's national debt." -- Tip o'the hat to Herbert Hoover

The best things in life are free, but President Obama's tax advisors are working hard at work trying to solve that problem.

President Obama plans to start printing income tax forms on Kleenex, so it will be easier for us to pay through the nose.

President Obama will make it a lot easier for most people to do their income taxes next year. No jobs, no income.

If President Obama listed free enterprise on his tax return, it would have to be listed as a liability. That's because he just writes it off.

Today the IRS released new guidelines on how to avoid audits while Obama is the president. Number one - Don't list excessive deductions. Number two - File your return on time. Number three - Register to vote as a Democrat.

Now that Obama is the President you can still get ahead if you get up early in the morning, work late every day and hit the lottery.

I agree up to a point SG. The Republicans abandoned conservatives principles and it cost them big. They then nominated a man that was not a conservative, and again, it cost them. Regardless of what some may say about McCain he certainly wasn't a conservative on many important issues. My problem is that Obama is going to do untold damage to this nation's economy, and he wants to fundamentally change the social fabric of our society. He is going about doing just that, and the media were complicit in his election. My anger at Obama voters is based more on the fact that so many of them knew nothing about the man's belief system. Plus many of them voted for him out of some insane hateful spite of Bush. It is nothing short of national suicide, and I hate to say it, but I feel vindicated, and unfortunately, I think that that vindication will only grow. It makes me none to happy to say that btw.

So while I agree that the government must be held accountable, and they are ultimately to blame. I'm afraid that the damage caused will take decades to undo and it could have been prevented. Liberty lost is rarely regained. The real test is going to be national health care. If that gets through we are all going to be screwed hard. Every single American on this board that gets their health insurance through their job will get dropped from private insurance, and then we will be at the mercy of the DC bureacracy to get medical treatment. The same DC  bureacracy that has managed to screw everthing that they have touched. Sate run health care hasn't worked in a single country that it's been tried. Why so many people are ready to put faith in a government to know what's best for their health is stunning to me. Like you said, the government is to blame. Do you want them deciding on matters of life and death when it comes to your children's life? I sure don't!

LOL! Have you been listening to your Dear Leader lately funman! The guy has pushed through hundreds of billions of dollars of completely unfunded debt with nothing but fear! He's up to a trillion now and he's been in office for a month! You are a perfect example of a drone. You ask zero questions about the most massive unfunded government programs that are going to be put directly on the backs of future generations that have zero say on this debt that they will incur! You just happily lap up the spew that Dear Leader feeds you and the only answer you can come up with is to try and lay blame on Republicans! They are on the right side of this argument for a change! They are actually asking questions about who is going to pay for these insanly massive spending programs! Not you though. You just happily watch as the rich people get soaked while you blindly ignore the fact that this bill will come due one day, and these clowns will be long gone by then. Hey there funman, whether you know it or not the rich are not going to be able to cover this debt! We will be forced to! Our children will forced to! Their children will be forced to! Why have the markets shit the bed ever since the election? Because of fear! And it hasn't got a damned thing to do with what the Republicans have done. My 401k has been crushed because of this Obama generated fear! That money was for my retirement, and my kids' college education! I worked for that money. Now I have thousands less thanks to that fear! I'm not rich either! So when Dear Leader tells you that anyone making less than $250,000.00 a year will not see their taxes go up I know for a fact that he's full of shit! You, on the other hand, worship at the alter of the most underqualified president in the history of our country! You just strap your blinders on and do exactly as your told. In other words don't ask any questions. Just trust in Dear Leader!

PS- Some Guy, this is the kind of Obama voter that I have a problem with. They know nothing of the history of our country, and put blind faith in a man that has nothing but contempt for that very history!

Here you go funman. Read this. You might actually learn something. We're gonna get screwed by your Dear Leader. Don't believe me though. Just show some balls and read the article. It's full of things called facts. Now I know that you Obamadrones have a tough time with facts, but you might just learn a few things about his big soaking of the rich lie should choose to click the link and actually read it.

- This all has been argued over the past month. I know the positions.
Now they're starting to say that they haven't seen his birth certificate. Hah, can you believe it !! Amazing . . .

You just happily watch as the rich people get soaked while you blindly ignore the fact that this bill will come due one day, and these clowns will be long gone by then.

Happily? Wrong again.
For their earnings over $250K, "the rich" pay the rate they paid during the Clinton Admin. Is it 38 - 40 % Something like that. Yeah, that's a high rate, really high, but look how wealthy they still were, and look what happened to hundreds of millions of middle class earners. They don't have the extra cash to support all of the community stores, so jobs are being lost, and the cycle is dangerously close to accelerating. The Republicans are saying cut more taxes. I get it. Thing is, I don't believe that it will stop the downward spiral.
There were a bunch of money grabs during the last 8 years. Atrocious stuff. Enron, Worldcom, etc . .
Thousands of retirees had to return to work. They lost their entire pensions. They were literally wiped out.
Billions were transfered to individuals. Billions. The Fed is the only institution that can have an effect at this point. Listen to the economists, not the personalities. Very important point. Especially if you like the personality. You think they haven't got that figured out by now.

Hey there funman, whether you know it or not the rich are not going to be able to cover this debt! We will be forced to! Our children will forced to! Their children will be forced to!

-What? Speaking of "forced to", you ever see that video of DeLay (the Speaker of the House during the Abramoff episode) walking around in The Mariannis Island sweatshop looking at his new investment? A US protectorate proudly flying the US flag, and holding hostage young men and young women in sweatshops. That's the level of corruption that we finally removed.
Let the healing begin.

Why have the markets shit the bed ever since the election? Because of fear! And it hasn't got a damned thing to do with what the Republicans have done. My 401k has been crushed because of this Obama generated fear!
That money was for my retirement, and my kids' college education! I worked for that money.

- Me too. Sorry to hear of your loss. This is what we get for going for the higher percentage rate, instead of being conservative. I should have managed mine, and stayed safe.

Now I have thousands less thanks to that fear! I'm not rich either! So when Dear Leader tells you that anyone making less than $250,000.00 a year will not see their taxes go up I know for a fact that he's full of shit! In other words don't ask any questions. Just trust in Dear Leader!

- They're greedy bastards, that's why. Not all of them, but enough. They're really smart, and really greedy. They just push investments around and make commissions. It's necessary for this capitalist system, but they need to be watched and regulated.

The Silence of the Liberals
As Obama launches "war on terrorism" II

by Justin Raimondo
Feb 27, 2009
Antiwar.com

I see that the Pentagon has reversed its old policy of refusing to allow photographs of those flag-draped coffins as our dead soldiers return from the battlefield. One wonders, however, how much interest there will be in taking and publishing such photos now that President Barack Obama is in office. One also wonders how long it will take the media to acknowledge the new quagmire we're sinking into if and when the numbers of casualties start increasing – as they are sure to do.

After all, Obama's war is going to be taking place on a much larger, more difficult canvas than that of his predecessor's, which was confined in large part to Iraq. All of Afghanistan will soon be teeming with newly-arrived US soldiers, sent there – direct from Iraq – to fulfill the President's pledge to start fighting the "right war" in the right way, a "smart" way. Oh, these guys (and gals) are the Best and the Brightest, alright, aren't they?

The smarty-pants tone and style of this administration is already beginning to grate on my nerves, as they pander to their base on the symbolic issues – like the coffin question – in hopes no one will notice as they backtrack on more important matters. So far, it doesn't seem to be working out all that well.

Glenn Greenwald isn't cutting them any slack on the torture brouhaha – he's already pointed out that they'll still be torturing people, albeit not with their own hands in some instances, and that if Guantanamo is closed, Bagram – where similar activities are known to take place – is going to be open for "business."

Most of the Obama-zoids are happy, however, because, after all, Keith Olbermann assures them we've entered the new millennium, the Dear Leader is in the White House, and all's right with the world. But is it?

Not by a long shot. Has anyone noticed Obama's vaunted 16-month withdrawal-from-Iraq plan has already stretched into 19 months – and the "residual force" he kept talking about during the campaign, as if it were a mere afterthought, turns out to be 50,000 strong?

Originally, none of those "residuals" were supposed to be combat troops – yet now we are told "some would still be serving in combat as they conducted counterterrorism missions." You have to go all the way to the very end of this New York Times report before you discover that, according to Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell, "A limited number of those that remain will conduct combat operations against terrorists, assisting Iraqi security forces."

In short: we aren't leaving.

I don't care what the status of forces agreement says: that document has more loopholes than the bank bailout bill's provisions for paying back the American taxpayers. Those 50,000 "residual" occupiers will simply pull back into their permanent bases, which are even now being constructed throughout Iraq, to be called on when our sock-puppets find themselves unable to tamp down the growing spirit of rebellion.

What kind of a "withdrawal" is this? It is one so burdened with contingencies, conditional footnotes, and amendatory clauses, that it falls beneath its own weight and collapses into a fair approximation of the status quo.

Antiwar voters who cast their ballots for Obama have succeeded in rolling the stone all the way up a rather steep hill, only to see it fall down the other side – and we are right back where we started. The next hill is called Afghanistan, and beyond that is yet another: Pakistan.

Not even Bush tried to fight a two-front war: Obama, however, is leaping into Afghanistan with alarming speed. Sending those 17,000 troops was one of the first acts of his administration, announced well before any of the economic measures. The economy may be crumbling, but the empire cannot be allowed to go the same way – that's the lunatic mentality of our rulers, whose priorities reflect a Washington mindset still stuck in the glory days of American hegemony.

Under Obama, the military budget will rise by 4 percent, and this isn't counting the costs of Iraq and Afghanistan. As Cato Institute research fellow Benjamin H. Friedman puts it: "Many Americans believe that Barack Obama and the Democratic majority in Congress will lower defense spending and restrain the militaristic foreign policy it underwrites. The coming years should destroy that myth."

Yes, but myths die hard. It will take a couple of shiploads of flag-draped coffins – and perhaps a couple of alarming incidents in Afghanistan and environs – to wake up Obama's liberal supporters to what they're presently enabling with their silent complicity. In the meantime, the creaking wheels of empire are turning as we gather our forces for another even more perilous mission that will take us straight into the fabled graveyard of would-be world-conquerors otherwise known as Afghanistan. Why? How? To what purpose? A thousand questions raise themselves up, like the first crocuses of spring – but the Obama administration isn't answering, because no one of any importance is asking. Just little old me – and, maybe you. And maybe Rachel Maddow, now and then: and that's pretty much it. Surely the alleged "antiwar movement" isn't interested – they're too busy hailing Obama's election.

The President's budget requests for Iraq and Afghanistan total $75 billion through the fall, and $130 billion for next year. That means we'll be spending nearly $11 billion per month for at least the next year and a half.

This bothers exactly no one in Washington, and especially not in the White House or the Democratic caucus chamber: after all, these people believe that government spending – any sort of spending – is what will fix our ailing economy right now. So why not increase the mis-named "defense" budget, anyway – don't you want an economic recovery, or are you, like Rush Limbaugh, hoping the President will fail?

Yes, you know we've entered a new era when I start citing Limbaugh favorably, and yet that's the sad part about all this: it is now left to Limbaugh and his talk radio confreres to point out the backsliding and howling hypocrisy in this administration's policies, both foreign and domestic, because the liberals – with a few exceptions – have been struck dumb by their "victory."

Here is a pie chart showing where all of our economic growth went from 2002 - 2006 (the good years under Bush).

The top 1% of earners got a nice slice, while the majority (you and me) didn't fare as well.

With all of this wealth in the hands of so few, we really depended on them to invest and create jobs. But that didn't happen, did it.
The Bush Admin was touting all of the new manufacturing jobs that were created, right? As it turns out, they re-classified making burgers as "manufacturing" (and lots of other misleading claims like that). Well, lots of people had to take jobs at McDonalds and the like, because their previous positions went to China or India.

Millions of people . . .

Who's looking out for you?

In the late 1990's they turned off the Nation Debt counter in NYC, because we had achieved a surplus.
In the 2000's they turned it back on as debt increased under Bush. Eventually, they turned it off, because there weren't enough decimal places to represent the debt Bush incurred. I believe it is still turned off . . .

And, the Wars were never on the books under Bush. They're on the books now though.

The UK and Cananda both beat the US by a wide margin in health care quality. You'd know that if you listened to patriotic truth tellers like Michael Moore instead of lying stains like Rush.

lies, damned lies, and statistics...when some sheik or shah or Russian billionaire needs surgery, they come to the US...that's the situation, our health care DOES suck for those who can't afford it--as it should, health care is a privilege, not a right--to set up a system otherwise imposes servitude on the providers, or at least takes away the economic incentives to be the best they can be...

- That's what I always thought too, and still kinda do. Sick people that aren't covered are overloading ER's across the nation though.
It ends up costing the states. I don't know what the answer is. Or rather, not sure which side I'm on here . I haven't been to a doctor in over 10 years, I'm uninsured. I pay the dentist cash, don't want my teeth to fall out . . .

That's because we have some good doctors and facilities, not because the system is so wonderful. Every westernized nation but the US has some form of socialized medicine and the doctors still drive their BMW's and have their country homes. You should apply your doctor-worship logic the next time your house catches fire. Pay the fireman or burn.

Right, Jizzy. The WHO suspended that survey 9 years ago, anyway. No way to do it accurately. I'm sitting in an American hospital room right now with my mom and I can't believe the amazing care she is getting, and all the advances in post-surgical care.

From their website:
The World Health Organization's ranking of the world's health systems was last produced in 2000, and the WHO no longer produces such a ranking table, because of the complexity of the task.

LOL! I thought that I had it seen it all. I mean do the drones even know that the media is perpetuating this insane idolatry of Dear Leader and Family?! In other words, have the drones figured out that they are drones yet? Will they ever be that self-aware?

This kind of media masturbation is so over the top all one can do is laugh at it. Do the drones know that they are being laughed at? If not they should just read these articles. This is laughable folks!

Drones, drones, drones . . .  Excellent point you make. They should make us pass a test before we vote, like they used to do in the south.

Have you ever heard of the Stockholm Syndrome? I would apply that to the lower income repubs, that sympathize with their oppressors. (actually, I heard someone else apply that to Michael Steele, and appropriated it)

I agree with you here, anything is a news story these days. I mean, who cares what he prefers. Crazy. I don't think we're being laughed at. I think it's all about sponsors wanting to influence our purchases. You know, the American way. Consume, consume, consume. If you wanna be like Mike, drink what Mike likes, and you're halfway there.
