I posted the link to Drudge. I'm not into namecalling but if you read your post there again, it was kinda nasty & I responded in kind. This ain't Shiiddoobbee!

Moving on, these recent polls are interesting. For some reason, the pollsters are questioning 25% more Dems. On a previous page I quoted a scholarly article about how EVERY election seems to show more Dem strength than what follows in the actual election. I'm not saying I see a McCain win yet but I wouldn't wanna be the drapes-measuring guy for Michele O'Bama. I hear she's got quite a temper.

But LJ, the ratio is out of all bounds. I'm watching last night's Charlie Gibson news & Stephanopolous talked about how Barry is worried about voters resenting the fact that the MSM is telling people who to vote for. On a liberal board I post at, even some of those nimrods admitted that McCain "won" last night's jokefest at the Al Smith Dinner. O'Bama was stiff & just plain unfunny. I'd like him to lose at this point just to piss off/on Hayden Pannietire.

I didn't intend it to be nasty - I was just stating the facts as I found them.  I have no explanation as far as more Dems than Reps being questioned by pollsters, but I do believe that polling by phone is skewered because fewer people have land lines.  And after this 8 year nightmare with Bush I've lost my trust in elections reflecting the true vote count.  I'm so worried about a McCain "win" I get up during the night and check the polls, so maybe I was a little short with you in my response.  I don't have anything against anyone with a temper as long as they don't have the power to blow us all up or stack the Supreme Court to undo Roe v Wade.

I'll trot back and read your scholarly cut and paste but this will be the only one!

I expect tempers to get a little frayed at this time as so much is at stake for both sides. You're worried about Roe/Wade & I'm worried about my country. I can't believe that for the 2nd straight open election, we're going with the empty suit.

No - just to keep our positions straight, I am worried about BOTH.   And I don't consider either Obama or McCain an empty suit.  That is being worn by Palin, IMO.

The "people's ticket" ordered a little snack from room service at the Waldorf, as the N.Y. Post's page Six reports:

While he was at a meeting at the Waldorf-Astoria at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Michelle Obama called room service and ordered lobster hors d'oeuvres, two whole steamed lobsters, Iranian caviar and champagne, a tipster told Page Six.

I'd guess the bill for that snack came in at around $350. Iranian caviar ain't cheap — even if you negotiate for it yourself. What the hell . . . Your campaign contributions (soon to be your tax dollars) at work.

Does anyone else remember Gerald Ford toasting his own English Muffins in the family quarters of the White House? Michelle's style is a little more Leona Helmsley, who's ad campaign featured a picture of herself in one of her hotels, with the slogan, "a hotel fit for a Queen."  Can you do that at the White House?

Nigger bashing? I'm not voting for BO because he's unworthy of the nation's highest office & he's a socialist to boot. I fear for our nation if he gets in. I care nothing about the color of his skin & all about the nuttiness of his ideas.

If true, it could be that the lovely Michelle was celebrating the much reported rumor that Colin Powell will be endorsing her husband this Saturday.

I wonder if that will have any effect? Powell's been pretty quiet these last few years.

You don't think Michelle is attractive?  I think the only impact Colin Powell's endorsement would have might be that of embarrassing McCain.  Although it might help me regain some of the respect I lost for him.  Boy...my mouth is watering for some Iranian caviar.  How about you? Roll Eyes

I find her unattractive. Not just physically but what comes out of her mouth. I had caviar once. Quite good but I don't know where it was from. I'm not sure how I feel about Powell. Yes, he did good but if he felt the war was wrong, he should have done more to stop it. As for his endorsement, I think he's faded from public consciousness these past few years.

I couldn't agree with you more about Powell trying to stop the war.  If you've had caviar once you are ahead of me.  Now I must drop back before my post count gets too high.

So, Springsteen is talking to the audience at the big Obama benefit he did with Billy Joel.  He's explaining that the group (Joel's band plus Bruce's wife Patti) hasn't practiced together much and might not be too good.  He told the crowd to "Palinize your expectations."  Priceless.

Hey BBJ - Can you please shrink your avatar a smidge?  It blocks out part of your post.  I PM'd you about it but you must not have picked it up yet.

Hi Ginda--I thought mI responded to the PM, but it must not have gone through.  I don't know howe to shrink the avatar, but it doesn't obscure the posts on my screen (except sometimes on the iPhone), so I don't know why it's doing it to you.

I just spent two days on foreign soil.  When I was in bars (which wasn't as frequently as I'd like) I trashed George Walker Bush III as a socialist to any and everyone who would listen.  On foreign soil.  Foreign bar soil.  Trashed him.  One Canuckster asked if everyone felt like that in the US.  I said 'Yeah, except Bush Geeks and other girly-men types."  He laughed.  I said "I'm serious, man.  I don't joke around about this stuff."  I think I freaked him out a bit.

I got to get some stuff done, then I'm going to find a bar on Yonge Street and trash the U.S. President some more on foreign soil.  I like drinking and trashing retards on foreign soil.  Its even more fun than on domestic soil for some reason.

I am no Bush Geek as some one sided mono visual types love to claim. I support Bush when he's right, and withdraw that support when he's wrong. The bailout bill is wrong on every level and I can't defend it for a second.

That's some Mighty Boosh.  Dude, three weeks ago, you were saying he had to go bailwad because otherwise it was "total economic collapse" or some media buzz words like that.  You should have gone with your alleged principles, because now it looks like you were for socialism before you were against it.

Also, and more to the point, over the last 5-6 years, I have trashed George Walker Bush III on the soil of FOUR foreign sovereignties, including the U.S.'s only two physical contiguousities.  Most people haven't even been to four countries, and I've manged to trash that goon in four.  Four fucking foreign soils.  References available upon request.
