This is certainly true, I guess I partially agree with him, and that's more to the point of why I wasn't bothered.

It's clear for all now how he'll approach the job & it doesn't bode well.

I wouldn't agree "it's clear for all", but I understand your point (PS: the Mark Rich pardon pissed me off in a big way. Rich's wife contributeed $500k to the Clinton Library. That's a travesty and deserves a closer look by Justice, IMO)

I would tell that little douche nugget that a lot of good people have lost jobs and can't pay mortgage, credit cards etc. Until we create more jobs in America it will get worse. He needs to learn to be a little more thankful and less douchey.

He's less douchey than many who voted for Obalama. And how do we create jobs if we just give money to those who don't deserve it? We gave welfare to a bunch of layabouts for decades & that did NOTHING to create jobs. We're in a long haul recession because of these morons.

LOL I could post the same thing to you. I sometimes wonder if you have a basic grasp of Econ 101. Even Nanny Pelosi's #1 aide admitted that this stimulus package wasn't "all that." And he probably wrote half of it. When you reward the losers, the winners lose interest in the game. You believe in Darwin, doncha?

but these losers you speak of are human beings. I just try myself to be a little more thankful of things myself. I pray for my unemployed friends and those that are having a tough time. We need to more compassionate in all we do. Not trying for points here, tater. Just living.

I'm certainly not talking about the unemployed who just lost their jobs. I'm talking about those who have gamed the system & will now reap the rewards. There are plenty of them out there. I was unemployed about 25 years ago & I still remember the pain but to be honest, I could have tried harder to get a job. And if free money (!) had been floating around out there, I'm sure I would have stayed out of work even longer. The one thing that guarantees a longer recession is taxing Peter to pay Paul for not working. It has never worked & it won't this time either. One can have empathy without losing one's intelligence.

He has some blame but I think Riffhard has done a good job of displaying how W warned of the crisis of Fannie & Freddie & how Congress ignored him. I blame them much more, especially the guy with the unfortunate lisp.

Tater makes a good point. The previous asshole did have things rather thoroughly fucked up long before the election even took place.

Don't get all huffy, my red headed friend....
It is very obvious who doesn't have the facts before they post...

Nuff said..

I have been chomping at the bit for the better part of 36 hours to respond to this condescending as hell post! I was at work and then dealing with kids so time did not permit me to immediately respond.

Meg, far be from me to assume that you may have been referring to myself with this post, but I will! If you were in fact referring to me I would ask you to please site one single example of where I made a post that was not supported by facts. You instinctively take Moonie's word for when he says that I was wrong about the 10th Amendment argument, I guess? Is that it?! Guess what? He's wrong!! Very wrong in fact, and I'm going to find the link to the article, or the audio, from the man who was Chief of Staff to the Atty Gen of the United States under Edwin Meese to prove it!

Moonie (notice that I am not calling him Goober?! Ain't I a great guy?!) get's lauded by people here for one reason and one reason alone. Because he disagrees with me! At least be intellectually honest enough to admit it for god's sake! His politics have fuck all to do with it! However, mine have everything to do with it! You, Ginda, Jizzy, Bucky, etc. all have one thing in common. Can you figure out what that is? In a nutshell it is that you disagree with me on everything with regards to politics, and Moonie has been your champion in appearing to have shown me up! He hasn't, but that doesn't matter! He appears to have and that's all that matters to you and your fellow travelers! You have tunnel vision on this topic. Kind of dronelike really.

And allow me to also point out this fact. For two fucking years I have to put up with the snarky Bush Geek crap. Now you guys may very well find that amusing, but given the fact that it is not directed at you personally I can understand why you would find it funny. It gives you an opportunity to laugh at those that you disagree with, me in particular. Oh yes, Moonie made sure to point out that I was the #1 Bush Geek on the list. I could just see the liberals sitting behind their monitors giggling with glee at that. I personally thought that it was idiotic myself, but after two years of this underhanded put down I'd had enough! Oh, and I should point out that it didn't have a fucking thing to do with any of Bush's idiotic maneuvers while he was president! I readily admitted that Bush made mistakes. There hasn't been one president in history that hasn't made some! Barry is on a record pace btw!

While it's true that I have used the term Obamadrone repeatedly now for quite some time, I never once directed it at any one poster on this board personally. It was a blanket statement that was, more often than not, said very tongue in cheek. Sometimes it was said in righteous anger because the people that voted for this man have just handed this nation over to a bunch of goddamned socialists that on a record pace to piss my kids' economic future away!. However, I never once noted that any poster here was a #1 Obamadrone. I never once used the term to try and humiliate any one single poster on this board. That's not my style. I'm not an asshole. Not so with Moonie! He did it for years with the sole intent to undermine and humiliate, and none of you oh-so-inclusive liberals thought that there was a goddamned thing wrong with it! "You go Moonie! Make 'em look silly! You go boy!" Gee, you'd think that Moonie wasn't a conservative himself?! Or so we're told anyway. I guess you guys just adopt the attitude that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

When Blue personally went after you, Meg, what happened? Well, let's just say that the wagons were circled and the man's job was threatened! When the same thing happens to me for two fucking years nobody seems to find anything offensive about it at all! Oh, don't get me wrong, there were more than a few that personally contacted me and said that it was getting repulsive, and insulting, but you guys didn't seem to care. Why? Because you're liberals! Because you can't stand the fact that I know that Barry is a fucking joke, and that you guys just haven't figured it out yet!

Riffy, I think you're needlessly getting your undies in a wad. I mean, I have yet to see Meg post anything on this thread that remotely resembles a fact. Meanwhile, Obalama takes us further on down the road to socialism. Now, the bank formerly by Robert Rubin (look him up, Meg!) is a probable takeover candidate by...the US gov't! This is what happens when uninformed people vote. Next time, let's leave the rock stars on stage & not in the Oval Office.

I don't agree that Obama is the result of uninformed voters. I think it is exactly the opposite. When I listened to the McCain campaign speeches, and more to the point, the McCain supporters’ opinions, I think THEY are the uninformed voters. I was stunned at their reasoning. Obama is the result of the disasterous GWB administration, and of a positive/hopeful message. He turned more than a few Red states to Blue.

I have to say that I can't think of any outrageous Obama supporter statements, probably were some but I really can't recall.

A large amount of the religious right was told that if they voted for Obama, they might not get into heaven. I HEARD THIS FOR MYSELF!! Amazing. As if  . . .
If it wasn't for THIS block of voters, I believe the GOP would have stiff competition from the Green Party.

'Course, the Dems have their share of weirdoes, but the difference is that they care about the have-nots. Personally, I am grateful for all I have and can't imagine living with next to nothing. I'm not anti-wealthy-people, but it matters to me what they do with their wealth (ie Matt Damon = good, Paris Hilton = bad).

So you might imagine how your opinion strikes me as bizarre, and I accept my comments strike you the same . . . .

GWB (in my opinion) is the greatest waste of privilege that I have ever seen, bar none.
