Quote:1. ACORN: If you think a cabal of radicals at ACORN headquarters is plotting massive voter fraud, you're delusional--or at best you know nothing about howe these signature-gathering outfits operate. The problem arises when workers are paid by the signature--or the voter registration--rather than by the hour. Combine this with the low pay, low skill nature of the job, and you have a recipe for fraud of the old-fashioned type--pure venality--not an attempt to steal an election.
As for the Obama campaign hiring "an ACORN front group," as the McCain campaign has stated, that is a deliberately misleading statement. First, the term "front group" is used intentionally (and incorrectly) to invoke shades of the "Communist front groups" of the Fifties. A "front" group" by definition hid its relationship with the group it fronted for. ACORN is an umbrella group made up of independent organizations. As for his legal representation of ACORN, that is entirely beside the point. The U.S. Dept. of Justice was on the same side in that case; are they an ACORN "front group," too?
The real nature of this ACORN attack is three-fold: first, to attempt to peel away votes from Barack by impugning his honesty and raising fears of radical affiliations or election stealing; second, to provide cover for the standard Rove Republican voter suppression efforts which you can expect to be particulary vicious in Ohio, Florida and Colorado; finally, in the very likely event that neither of these tactics succeeds, the Republicans will have sown the seeds of a myth of illegitimacy and usurpation which will feed the Hannitys and inflame the base for four--make that eight--very long years in the wilderness.
Wrongo boyo! ACORN is a front group that is under investigation for voter fraud in 11 seperate states right now with more states waiting in the wings. They did the exact same thing, though with less impact, in 2000 and 2004. This group has NEVER tried to assure a Republican candidate a win. They are hardcore leftists and to say otherwise is dishonest as hell. It IS TRUE that Barrack Obama taught many memebers of ACORN organizers just exactly how to "organize", and he DID use Saul Alinsky's book Rules For Radicals as the template for these "lessons". Even ACORN's spokesmen have confirmed this FACT.
Quote:2. Joe the Plumber: 95% of small businesses make less than $200,000 a year and would see no tax increase under Obama's plan. The Republican statistic that 50% of small business income may be true, but it is a reflection of the skewed distribution of income, not of a flaw in the Obama tax plan. Joe's potential business, as I understand it, isn't even breaking $200 K. Joe, himself, isn't making much more than $40,000; he'll see a much bigger tax break under Barack's plan than McCain's. That is, if he decides to pay his taxes for a change. Oh, and Joe isn't even a licensed plumber. And his first name isn't even Joe. Say goodnight, "Joe."
Totally untrue! 100% untrue in fact! All one needs to do is go to the SECs website to prove this fact.
Quote:3. "Two percent": Do I really have to explain the Electoral College to you knuckleheads?
The electoral college is not in question! The numbers that the media are trying so desperately trying to shove down our throats are in keeping with their desire for an Obama win. This race is WAY closer than the media is willing to admit. The sole reason for these skewed polls put forth is to keep McCain supporters home on election day.

Thank you Mr. Barney Frank, Mr. Chris Dodd, Mr. Franklin Raines, Mr. James Johnson, and Ms. Jamie Goreleck!
