So you have no problem with what he did? Thanks a lot.

i never said i didn't have a problem with what pdog did. i actually think it is one of the gheyist things i've ever seen on these boards, and i have told him so. to make it even more ghey, he initially denied it was him. shocking and stupid. does that mean i still don't like the guy and never want to talk to him again though? no. too many good times. the bastard can post, after all...sumbitch got game....talent...poise....moxie.... he is, however, a very emotional being and often lets his emotions get the best of him. frankly, dude done forgot this simple mantra of life on an interweb message board:

...

on the other hand, you have been spewing forth the negativity for months. instead of leaving bad family business off the board where it belongs, you continue to bring it up and take jabs publicly. and your unproductive political ramblings have been nothing but useless and counterproductive (see: page from the tele playbook). yes, you were wronged. absotivically. we get it. just stop bringing it up all the time.

you and pdog have about 6 billion posts between the two of you. both grisled old veterans and regular summitteers. will i choose sides between you? hell no....if you or he decide to cash it in over this, that is your decision. i will leave it alone and just make stupid jokes about it from time to time, basically because it picks up the chicks.

I admit that I shouldn't have brought it up last night but when 2 posters I deeply respect welcomed that cretin back, I realized that many didn't know what he did. What's incredible is that he then goes on about siccing the cops on me. I'm not sure if these people he's been calling have been humoring him or if he's lying but the behind-the-phone-lines eyerolling must be endless.

As for calling his actions ghey, it goes beyond that. It's vicious & foul & censorious. If it were done to you, I bet you'd be pretty happy, right? Because honestly, I'd love to do to you what he did to me. Just because I think ghey is gonna be in under Obalama.

As for me being "negative" for months, you're a real brainiac. I wasn't negative until Nov. 5 & after a couple of days, I stopped posting to the job-interferer & I moved on. After he made his phone call, I stopped psoting here for 3 weeks. I didn't post more than 5 times on this thread between Nov. 15 & last night. Maybe I was negative (in your loony eyes) on the thread about Joey or JB's birthday but that's in the eye of the beholder. And your coloring of history is interesting in that you say I kept bringing it up. I was the one who told YOU to stop bringing it up & board management told you to stop too. You've still been referencing it naturally because you're that special type of asshole but as long as everyone knows what he did, I'm fine. I still have my job & somehow I doubt the ravings of an unemployed internet poster will work their magic again. His name is known & will be known further.

That said, I'm done talking about the situation.

first off, i find it hard to believe you're done talking about the situation. you will continue to snipe about it for weeks, if not months.

second, WTF dude...you continue to insult me for some reason...then meg...then some guy...not to mention our lord and savior barack, who singlehandedly brought our nation together yesterday in a way no one has since jack morris pitched ten shutout innings on a balmy october day back in '91. who is next? admin? keith? gandhi? and the insults are for what? because i didn't run to you and coddle you and tell you what an asshole pdog is for doing whatever he did? come on. i will bet you front row seats at the MSG show on the upcoming tour that 95% of all respected regulars will agree with the following two statements, as i indicated in the earlier post:

1. pdog overreacted big time because of his little spat with you and did an unthinkably stupid thing.

2. you are being unbelievably bitchy.

i also believe everyone else will agree with the following statement:

1. #!$*ing enough already. it's time to head for the tub with a 40 ouncer of malt liquor.

Starbuck - Excuse me for butting in but why don't you tie a string around your finger to remind yourself not to bring the situation between glencar and Pdog up again?  Not even as a punchline.   I never did see the humor in it, and I remember glencar asking you to drop it.    I also think the Special Olympics joke is cruel.

pa starbuck is and has always been a terrible alcoholic. i helped move him out of his house a few years back, only to discover the man had consumed- get this - 9 quarts of whiskey in a seven day period. once at work, his boss had to call the cops because he came to work drunk....he blew a .39. that much liquor would kill a herd of wildebeasts, the O line of the steelers and about half the C10. very sad story indeed. as a kid, i found the best way to deal with the problem was to laugh at it. i used to enjoy taping signs to his back that read something like "honk if you love windsor canadian" or "i voted for carter in '80"....very funny for a ten year old, let me tell you.

flame wars suck because they often end in regulars leaving. when that happens, the whole board loses. the gene pool shrinks.....i still miss fleabit, ss, gypsy and a host of others...thus, like the signs on the back of pa starbuck, the best way to deal with departures that i have found is to poke fun...laugh adversity in the face, if you will....fleabit may be gone, but somehow across the street is still funny, as are tambourine jokes and meth head comments.

that being said, you can count on one hand the amount of references i made to call-to-the-bossgate!

Moving on because I said I would...

Vice President Biden took a stab at Chief Justice John Roberts on Wednesday, one day after the chief justice flubbed the oath of office that President Obama was to recite at his inauguration.

Biden was to swear in senior executive staff at a White House ceremony after having already given the oath to newly confirmed Cabinet secretaries. When Obama reminded him that he had only done the one group and hadn't done the second yet, Biden quipped, "My memory is not as good as Chief Justice Roberts."

The slap was directed at the Supreme Court chief, who a day earlier had to recite to Obama the 35-word oath of office, which Obama was to repeat back to him. Unlike his predecessor, Chief Justice William Rehnquist, Roberts -- perhaps unwisely -- chose to forego a note card with the oath.

When he started to say the second portion of the quote "... that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States," he instead put faithfully at the end of the sentence. Obama, who apparently had memorized the oath, looked at Roberts, who then realized his mistake and repeated that portion of the oath correctly.

Obama then repeated the oath in the incorrect order. His presidency is unaffected, however. In the unlikely event he'd be challenged as president, the case ultimately would end up in Roberts' court.

PS Thanks Ginda. I know you & I will never agree on much about politics but you're a fine person & if you ever did run, I'd vote for you regardless of the issues. Character counts...

File this under "You Can't Make This Shit Up" Department:

Talk about the power to influence people!

President Barack Obama has inspired millions with his words and actions. So much so that a new musical is even being made about him. The show is titled Obama on My Mind.

The play's music, lyrics, and script, were written by U.S. writer Teddy Hayes.

Hayes describes his show as "a humorous romp set in an Obama campaign office, with songs that mix pop, gospel, jazz, 'some Motownish stuff' and even tango."

The casting hasn't been announced yet, but they won't have to worry about finding a Barack. The Obama character never actually appears on stage.

Hayes said, "Nobody can really impersonate Obama, can they? He's a one-off."

The musical is set to open at a small theater in London this March from the 3rd through the 21st.

Quote:

This is just one more example of the media not even trying to be objective in their coverage of the "Age Of Obama". Does any of this stuff ever get reported on honestly?!

I mean what Reich and Rangal are talking about here is classic socialist wealth redistribution on the backs of the working to the nonworking. It is essentially old Soviet style social engineering cloaked behind little liberal buzz words like-hope,change,sacrifice,fairness, and your basic liberal BS designed to make people feel guilty and unworthy of the very "inalienable" rights that the framers of the constitution gave us. Our very founding as a nation is directly opposed to this very kind of bullshit rhetoric! This is clearly an attempt to put a large central government to lord over the people. This has nothing to do with a government for the people,by the people, and of the people! Reich says "criteria can set so that money does go to others, the long term unemployed, minorities, women." This kind of talk is stunning for many reasons. Not the least of which is the fact that so many people (like "white construction workers") voted for these asshats without any knowledge of any of these radically unAmerican socialist-cum-communist style ideologies that these idiots bring forth! I mean listen to that tax crook (seems to be a Democrat theme these days, no?) Charles Rangal propose a reduction in state rights to an all-knowing-all-caring-all-powerful federal government!! That is absurd!!! The founding fathers must be rolling over in their graves! The fact that the media so willingly got down on their knees and threw all objectivity out the window for their mutual Obamagasm should be grounds enough to sue them for journalistic malpractice.

Liberals so often deride people of faith. Christians, and especially Catholic Christians, are routinely ridiculed and mocked. Yet these very same liberals are more than willing to allow a fat elite Oligarchy in Washington DC to lord over them and tell them how they should live. They worship at the feet of a government that knows better than they, the individual, on what is good for them. Obama is their messiah, and idiots like Reich, Rangal, Pelosi, and Reid are his disciples.

This is one reason why liberals hate Ronald Reagen so much. He stood for the exact same principles that the founders believed. Namely, the rights and self determination of the individual.

I'd say that his 1981 Inaugural Adress was a damned sight better than that of Barry's! In fact, I know it was!

This is what America is about!!

"In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem. From time to time we've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price."

i'll play the devil's advocate here for a second...

i saw a story on 20/20 last weekend about some anchor at a station in denver who got laid off. the gist of the story was about how tough times are...even anchormen and people in prominent positions lose their jobs. this guy went back to work as a vet technician, thereby taking a pay cut of $250 K per year to $36 K. an interesting story at first...you felt sorry for the guy for losing his career...but then they started talking about his $850 K ski home that he is having a hard time making payments on, and getting to because they can't afford to fly across the country to use it that often anymore. "times are so hard!" said his tearful wife. "i want to buy a pair of $400 boots, but i know i can't because we really have to pinch our pennies!" boo fucking hoo!

the moral of this little parable is that, while i certainily don't support the redistribution of wealth, certainly the mega rich should be able to kick in more dough in taxes than the rest of us.

We wouldnt have to even consider redistribution if we had a pay as you go system. VAT taxes or flat rate sales taxes that everyone pays could eliminate the BS system of income taxes.Reduce the IRS and save millions.Take it a step further to miniciapl taxes.Does someone whose home is valued higher than someone else use more resources and therefore should pay more? No..same as why should folks with no kids pay school taxes forever? Its all a joke..just like bailing out banks whose sole existance is predicated on doing nothing more than your local bookie..except with less scruples.

This is your response? How about defending your boys here Jizzy? What do you think of this blatant socialist wealth redistribution plan that the tax cheat Rangal and Reich are openly discussing as if it were as American as apple pie? It's NOT Jizzy! There is nothing American about the social engineering that these clowns are advocating!

Instead of another idiotic childish attack why not just explain to us why these guys are so god damned brilliant?!

i am not for the government making any moves to take away any of john and cindy mccain's eight houses. if the mccains want 8 houses, that's their business...even if they forget one of two of them, it's their right to own them if that's what they want to spend their money on.

that being said, if mccain has to pay a buttload of taxes, so much so that he can only afford seven houses, i ain't going to lose any sleep over it.

let's just hope and pray cindy can still afford $400 boots!

Okay, thanks for the clarification.

So what do you do with the person with one house, for which they have worked very hard, and they have an annual salary of, oh I don't know, say $250,000?

What happens when that person is asked to fork over so much of their income to taxes that they can no longer afford that house?  Is that a problem?  Not for Obama and Biden.  Hell, that's patriotism right there!

What's the matter? You guys all claim to support the troops but when push comes to shove you hold onto yer wallets when it comes to paying for that support. I guess it's cheaper to put a ribbon magnet on your car than to actually pay for the troops' welfare.

Not only that Nanky, but Reich wants to make damned sure that those dollars that that family busted their asses for for years is now going to be government mandated to go to the long term unemployed, minorities, and women! Sounds like the very idea of The American Dream to me!

It's horseshit and soon as the populace wakes up to from their collective idiocy they will rue the socialism that they, with willing media accomplices, have wrought upon this country.

I want one single liberal on this board to explain to me how the ideas that are being put forth by these clowns can justified or rationalized?!

I know a few "white construction workers" myself that voted for Barry and they are all gonna have this video sent to them with a big fat "I told ya so!"

The good news is that the American people will not long stand for this kind of socialism and after two years Barry will loose the congressional majority that he enjoys now, and he'll be gone after his first term.

A crap argument mm and you know it! This has dick all to do with the troops! They are talking about classic wealth redistribution here! In fact they are talking about the exact same kind of wealth redistribution that Sal Alinsky wrote about all those years ago. There is NOTHING AMERICAN ABOUT THIS PLAN!!!!
