Notwithstanding their Nazi Pope, my new found respect for Catholics is increasing by the day. At least they have the ecclesiastical balls to take on the latest fad cult head on.

I've been advised by an administrator to cease my sparring with this individual. I must follow that advice. I will note by way of contrast, though, that even when he is attacking my positions and questioning my intelligence for holding them, Riffhard does not typically engage in sophomoric name-calling (at least with me). I appreciate that human quality and attribute it to our shared status as fathers. He knows better than to attack my kids, even in an oblique and underhanded manner.

Give me a break with the lynching of glencar routine.
He's passionate about his politics as are MOST OF US.
And believe me he and I have gone at it over the years with regards to "condescending remarks", but we dealt with it and moved on.
And why did we move on? Because we partied together twice in Chicago, in NYC and the guy went out of his way to stop at the Philly Airport to pick me up and get me to Atlantic City not ONCE but TWICE. He is my friend and a good guy.

When you post here you'd better have THICK skin ESPECIALLY if you are a woman. And should you dare jump into a political forum, LOOK THE FUCK OUT. You have any clue how many private notes I get from women who are scared to death to discuss their political views on RO because this place is so vicious???? There are low blows all over this thread and not just by one side.

Hell, Jizzy's been taking jabs at me for years (see "alcoholic old hag" comment a couple of years ago).

I do not condone any of this shit from ANY of you.
This thread really saddens me now and I generally avoid it.
