You know BJ from your perspective these people look unhinged, and no doubt some of them are (though no more so than the drones that were fainting at Barry's rallys), however, there is a very real reason that McCain supporters, Republicans, and conservatives are pissed.

I mean afterall the media is completely in the tank for Barry. The Fannie Mae scandal, which has Democrat fingerprints all over it, not to mention the massive kickback that Barrack got in three short years, has gone totally univestigated by the media as well as the Democrat run Congress.

Shit son when Ken Lay fucked the share holders of Enron the Dems couldn't form an investigative committee fast enough! Oh the fun they had with tying Lay to Bush (conviently ignoring the same ties to Clinton)! Remember the frog marches? The perp walks? They were great, huh? It was a straight up partisan lynching! Not that the bastards were innocent. But the sheer delight that Democrats took on that whole fiasco was almost nausea inducing.

Now just a few years later a scandal that makes Enron look like a lemonade stand. Where every man, woman, and child in America got screwed, not just share holders. Where are these high minded Democrats now?! Kind of disturbing to say the least. Why is Waxman's committee not investigating Fannie Mae? We all know exactly why! That's why we're pissed. Naturally, the media isn't asking any questions about this glaring inconsistancy.

Not to mention that the media is also dismissing all the radical ties that Barrack Obama has. And they are legend. The media deflects it off as a "guilt by association", "A last gasp political stunt", or they just ignore these facts outright. These are just a couple of reasons why people on the right are pissed off. We have every right to be pissed!

The media is in cohoots with the Democrats and the Obama campaign to win this election by diverting the eyes of an unwitting and uninformed electorate and it is disgusting to watch. Though I'm sure that you and your fellow travelers are just gleefully rubbing your hands together in Obama anticipation.

I wonder if MSNBC or CNN is gonna cover the ACORN story? I'll go check and get back to you.

CBS covered the ACORN story this evening. Actually it was somewhat hardhitting but it was on a show that has fewer viewers than Bill O'Reilly.

This is a good sign. The media is going to have to be shamed into covering these stories.

I still insist that if the average Obama supporter knew the truth about him they would never even consider voting for him.

Give me a break!! Your side SURE can dish it out (see McShame-Impalin). Having a little trouble enduring some of the same???

I'd say what we see here BJ is the right of the people to express free speech. Or is it only freedom of speech when Madonna shouts out a comparison of John McCain to Hitler???

I'd also say people are frustrated and angry because they SEE that their questions about Obama's past and his views are NOT being ASKED by anyone; certainly NOT the Mainstream Media. And DON"T EVEN play the "race card" (see lynch mob mentality) as James T Harris is an African American!!!!

Hate mongering is rampant on both sides. It ain't pretty but it is what it is.

Actually, McCain told his audience that O'Bama was a good man. He didn't add any conditions, he just stated it. He's an incredibly good guy but he's also quite competent & treating him like a crazy old uncle is about the shittiest thing our MSM has done in a about a dozen years. I hope he gets elected just to piss off H-wood & all those maroons.

Also, just so you know Corgosh, George Walker Bush III said this about his continuing trillion dollar socialist government investment scheme:

There it is - only the U.S. federal government knows when to buy low and sell high when it comes to financial securities traded on the free market.  Is that the most fucking unreal thing you have ever heard from a leader of a supposedly free-market capitalist economy?  What would your country do if your president said something like that, Corgworth?  This country barely blinks at this stuff anymore - either we are so calloused to it, or we're too dumb to realize how profound it is.  Or we're Bush Geeks and live in utopian Bush Geek world where everything is swell.  Its one of those three reasons.  Can't be anything else.

I'm still just shocked that George Walker Bush III can get away with saying something so contradictory to every American capitalist and conservative principle there is in this country, and not be hounded and shamed from office.  Its absolutely incredible to me.  And the media just gives him a flyer on it, Corgo.  Its boring, no lipstick and stuff.

When it all goes wrong for the winguts, they always blame the media. Not the clown that has fucked things up for 8 years, but the media. Why not blame the the pizza chef around the corner? Or the window cleaner from 3 doors up? The same trick was tried last year at our election. In fact, our election mirrors America's quite closely. A over the hill swine who wouldnt accept his time was up. The Liberal party (ultra-conservative) got virtually eliminated at our last election for a new, fresh faced guy virtually no one really knew.

I think it's much closer in the U.S. I think more or less left and right are about 35% each all the time, and its the undecided's who make or break an election. Here, conservatives are always in the minority. So much so, they have had to have a coalition of like minded wingnuts to get them over the line. Apart from 1 state, and that was only a few weeks ago, we are wall to wall Labor Governments.

And its a great feeling. It's like the lights have been turned on after 11 years of darkness and horror.

I can only wish the same result for my American compadres.

The craziest part about biased media bitching is how the exact same media that is characterized as "leaning left" to get in the tank for Obama is also characterized "corporate media" that gives McCain a free pass.  It all depends on whose "truth exposing" cockles your spaniels.  This is the same media, and yet it's completely biased against whomever the biastander sympathizes with/for/to.  If "liberal media" haters and "corporate media" haters could just get together and agree that most members of the media were lazy, inept sheep following the group media mind they might come to the conclusion that most media is fair and balanced in its incompetence.

Yeah ,the development is that it's not true. Some other Iragi ahole who wasn't even in the meeting made the claim. Ponder, if you are capable of it, the profound stupidity of the following statement by the President of the United States of America:

"The government is the only institution patient enough to buy these assets at their current low prices and hold them until their prices return to normal."

Put aside that it throws over 225 years of free-market capitalism under the bus.  Forget that part.  Just ponder how stupid the statement George Walker Bush III made at a press conference that HE called is.

What the fuck is that idiot trying to say?  His whole explanation for his brand new socialist economic world makes no sense.  If the government "buys" all the assets at "their current low price" what market mechanism will ever raise the price?  Assuming some magic event does, what happens when "their prices return to normal"?  Who the fuck would buy them then?  The speculative profit is gone by than, retard!

What the fuck is this idiot talking about?  What the hell is a "normal price" for a once publicly traded asset?  How the fuck will he and the economic girly-men he surrounded himself with know when "their prices return to normal"?  That's the whole point of a free market, normal price is whatever a willing buyer and a willing seller agree it is - not some government loon like George Walker Bush III randomly throwing darts at a picture of a supply and demand curve with OTHER people's money.

Its incredible this man is in office.  It really is.

This country barely blinks at this stuff anymore - either we are

A) so calloused to it, or
B) we're too dumb to realize how profound it is.  Or
C) we're Bush Geeks and live in utopian Bush Geek world where everything is swell.

Haven't you heard blueMoon?  The media are a bunch of Marxists anyway.  They loooooooove them some socialschism.

Me, I'm gonna plead A) - it's possible that I peaked too soon in my Eyes-Open Bush Dislike. . .shot my W-ad a year or so back.  Maybe it would be different if I had any money to lose.

Appreciate the effort on the retrospective.  You the man to do it.  Any other man here is tainted by faint squims of partisan pheromone that will capsize the definitude of said presentations.

"Money ain't got no owners.  Only spenders."  - OMAR

I am seriously thinking of moving my Bush Geek commemorative retrospective to this thread.  Something tells me, something extra-corpeal, to do it.  Who am I to resist the Dogs of Providence?

You should do it - here be the action. Or you could play like some posters and post the same shit in both threads, but I know you know that'll create a posting bubble that devalues your posts and then who's patient enough to buy them until they return to their normal intellectual currency? As the Biden thread begat the Palin thread so the Palin thread has been superceded by Krauthammer - the world going one way, people another.

Just don't start it as its own thread - powers that be be on you like a empty suit on a democrat you do that.

Do you realize, Moonbuggy, that I have spent my entire ROPC (rocks off posting career) under the Bush watch?  I know some of yall are Clinton era post-urers, but I showed here in Nov of two dubya oh one.  No matter what the direction the change is gonna come, this still represents a major paradigmathematical shift in the nature of the game.

great comments Nasty -  moonphase I swear the god man you are hilarious - when it comes to comedy no ammunition like the truth

while the US has been the epicentre of the last 8 years make no mistake we are all in this boat together - and soon we shall be through the looking glass -  the transition into the 21st C.  complete - if not brave at least a weird new world where, as moondust notes, the old verities are but dry straw in the breeze - or maybe i'm being alarmist - in six months time when the dust has settled on both the US election and the financial meltdown maybe we can all get back to more importanant things like drinking, sex and watching the cricket

Nasty - you sure about your ROPC?? - i was sure you were here when I arrived and i'm fairly certain that was late 2000 or maybe early 2001??..anyway...

and Corgi - i agree with some of your comments about the similarities between our recent sit. and that in US - however I will refrain from starting any in depth threads or discussions about Australian politics - god forbid
