Oh , YES   ..... Some Guy !!!!!!

Our dear brother JB ( .................who REMAINS the only Jew on the planet who does not care for Macca ) is beginning to ' soften ' a bit and has secretly been listening to Macca'a new album " Kisses on the Bottom "  . In fact , even brother jb admitted that Macca's Grammy performance(s) was ' spectacular ' and that Macca was indeed ' Jew Friendly  ' .

I have invited our Stonesian Brother JB to Macca's concert at TD Ameritrade Park this summer / fall .

Macca's cancer mission

Sir Paul McCartney has re-arranged his world tour to bring his arena show to a charity concert in London on Thursday night.

The Beatles man booked extra shows on the Continent this week so he could easily get to London for the Teenage Cancer Trust event at the Royal Albert Hall, avoiding costly disruption to his tour.

The Who's Roger Daltrey, organising the annual charity event, said: "Sir Paul has been brilliant. We almost got him last year but he couldn't make the date work.

"He said, 'I'll be there for you next year, Rog' -- and here he is.

"He did a few extra shows in Europe to make it work so no one had to foot the bill of getting his show here -- and that means a lot.

"To see his full arena show in the Albert Hall will be a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

"He's the most iconic figure in the world."

Good on Macca -- it's a great cause.

Zurich goes wild for Macca

Paul brought Zurich to a standstill last night with a staggering show at the city's Hallenstadion, which saw fans travel from across Switzerland for the much-anticipated concert.

Paul has only performed five shows in Switzerland since he first played there in 1972 and hasn't visited there since his '04 Summer' tour back in 2004, so last night's concert was long overdue for the delighted Swiss fans.

Performing on an immense stage, Paul ensured the wait had been well worth it as he played an incredible set list that spanned his entire career, featuring highlights from The Beatles, Wings and his unrivalled solo material including tracks from his latest album 'Kisses On The Bottom'.

What happened to Nicole mitchell on the weather channel?

Happened? Not a thing, in the negative sense. She's attending law school now and her Weather Channel appearance schedule has been cut down accordingly, but she's still healthy and on the air.

" The Playbook for an Israeli Airstrike on Iran's Nuclear Facilities
John Hudson Feb 21, 2012

Thanks to a host of military analysts, cartographers, and TV graphics departments, we have plenty of ideas about how an Israeli airstrike on Iran's nuclear facilities would be carried out.

The latest hypothetical rendering came in a New York Times article Monday, in which Pentagon officials cast serious doubts about Israel's capability of pulling off the attack. "Its pilots would have to fly more than 1,000 miles across unfriendly airspace, refuel in the air en route, fight off Iran’s air defenses, attack multiple underground sites simultaneously — and use at least 100 planes," wrote Elisabeth Bumiller.

But while that rough sketch is generally agreed upon, a number of other geographic and tactical factors also come into play and have been mapped out. Put together, you have a dispassionate, calculated atlas of what such a conflict would look like.

The simplest map we've seen is a Fox News graphic outlining the four most widely discussed nuclear target areas: Arak, Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. On Monday night, Greta Van Susteren spoke with Major General Bob Scales who said, "This is gonna take days, maybe weeks, [and] the enemy's going to fight back."

What will the Israelis be aiming for? The Center for Strategic and International Studies has mapped out a comprehensive chart of the various nuclear sites and what is known about them:

As we've seen in Iran and Israel's shadow wars thus far, their disputes have spread out across a range of countries (today, we're hearing more about Azerbaijan). An airstrike would also embroil a handful of Israel's neighbors, depending on what airspace the country should choose to invade. In 2009 Reuters mapped out three routes (north, central and south) for carrying out the attack. Whatever the method, it looks as though jamming radars and dodging potential anti-aircraft munitions will be on the agenda.

Then of course, there's the weaponry involved. Equilibri, a European think tank that analyzes events and international dynamics, has outlined the air and sea power involved in a likely attack, which include 20 F-15s, 20 F-16s, 22-26 F15 C/Ds and F-16-Ds, 7 tanker KC-707/135s, and 2 dolphin class-submarines to enter the Gulf of Oman. (Other estimates say at least 100 planes are needed)

Of course, any invasion would also take into effect Iran's missile sites, which CSIS has rendered here:

One of the main targets, and most difficult, is the underground plant near the city of Qom. On Monday, the BBC reported that Iran is poised to expand its nuclear site in Qom, installing thousands of new centrifuges at the plant. According to The Times, the underground site is going to call for American-made GBU-28 5,000-pound bunker buster bombs to destroy the facilities. Here's a satellite view of Qom, courtesy CNN:

Without knowing whether Israel will actually carry out such an attack, what we can say is this would surely be one of the most pre-meditated, pre-discussed, and publicly scrutinized military campaign in recent memory.

Paul and Linda McCartney, 'Ram'Apple/EMIPaul and Linda McCartney's 1971 classic Ram will be reissued across several formats, including a deluxe box set, on May 22nd. It will be issued as a single disc 12-track standard edition, a 2-CD digipack with a bonus disc of rarities, a hi-res edition with 24-bit, 96 kHz audio files, a standard digital download, a double LP on 180-gram vinyl, a limited-edition mono vinyl LP and a deluxe box set with a bonus DVD, 112-page book, bonus discs and assorted exclusive prints. The Concert

Before the concert started there were speeches and video about the Teenage Cancer Trust with emotional footage of surviors. A survivor spoke and Roger Daltrey made a speech. Then Paul Weller introduced Paul. Because of all the speeches, the concert was shortened to 27 songs.

Macca wore an elegant black jacket and trousers with black suspenders with a white shirt that had a blue collar. The inside of his jacket had a reddish lining, which he showed the audience before tossing the jacket onto John Hammel's arm.

Paul recalled when The Beatles played Royal Albert Hall. At one point he said "Did you know that the RAH was opened 100 years ago? Not by me!" The crowd broke out in laughter.

Paul mentioned, "... lots of my family here tonight.."

People yelled for "Ram On" when Paul had the ukulele, but he ignored them.

At the end of the show Paul slapped hands with people in front of the stage and high-fived people at the side of stage. One lucky fan at the side of the stage got his album signed as Paul was leaving.

Signs in the audience

"Macca nificent"

Paul read one sign towards the end of the show which said, "A Brit and a Brazillian got married". He added, "That sounds like the beginning of a joke!"

Sound Check

1. Matchbox
2. Honey Don't
3. Only Mama Knows
4. Penny Lane
5. Coming Up
6. Piano ballad (unidentified song with lyrics "I'm calling, someday")
7. C Moon
8. Celebration
9. San Francisco Bay Blues
10. Calico Skies
11. Dance Tonight
12. Ram On
13. Bluebird
14. Lady Madonna

(Interesting new jams during the sound check)

There were about 50 people at the sound check. Paul greeted the crowd calling them "a small but vociferous group of people."

Paul wore a navy blue jacket, blue jeans, and black suspenders. He soon took off the navy jacket as the sound check progressed.

Stella was there with her son Beckett who Paul dedicated "Coming Up" to saying "to my very good friend Beckett." Earlier Paul greeted the toddler warmly with a hug and kiss. Stella danced around with the child who bobbed his head side to side with the music.

Paul did an impromptu leg kick to amuse his grandson. Macca jumped up and tossed one leg in the air as he waved it sideways. It almost looked like he was jumping over his own leg.

At one point, Paul began to walk away from his microphone to head to the piano and saw John Hammel running behind him to get something. Macca stopped and trotted after Hammel. Then Paul walked away and Hammel chased after him.

After a song, Paul teased Hammel again. Macca took off his acoustic guitar, balanced it vicariously on it's bottom without a stand, and walked away just as the guitar was starting to fall over. Hammel scrambled to grab it before it fell.   "

" Taking place on the 141st birthday of the venue, it was Paul McCartney's first visit to the Royal Albert Hall since the George Harrison memorial concert back in 2002.

Using a far smaller venue than his recent British tour, the Royal Albert Hall housed some celebrity fans. Pulp are due to take part in the Teenage Cancer Trust concerts tonight (March 30th) and Jarvis Cocker was on hand to soak up the show.

Chatting with the Evening Telegraph, the frontman said: “We’re going back to rehearse now. We’re scared.”

At one point Paul McCartney was joined by a number of guests to run through his 'Let It Be' classic 'Get Back'. Ronnie Wood, Paul Weller and Teenage Cancer Trust patron Roger Daltrey all assisted the former Beatle - who seemingly re-organised his European tour to fit in the Royal Albert Hall date.

Roger Daltrey told the Sun recently: "Sir Paul has been brilliant. We almost got him last year but he couldn't make the date work".

"He said, 'I'll be there for you next year, Rog' – and here he is. He did a few extra shows in Europe to make it work so no-one had to foot the bill of getting his show here – and that means a lot."

Heartbreak at Linda's Wood: Sir Paul McCartney's memorial to late wife destroyed by rare tree disease

It was meant to be a lasting living memory to Sir Paul McCartney's late wife, Linda.

But now great swathes of Linda's Wood in Somerset have had to be cut down because of a deadly disease that is sweeping the country.

The trees were victims of Phytophthora ramorum, or sudden oak death, which is infecting thousands of hectares of forests across the UK.

It affects larch trees in particular, although it can jump species and is also infecting other trees including the Douglas fir.

All of the larch trees in the memorial wood have been cut down, leaving expanses of empty land.

The former Beatle planted hundreds of trees in remembrance of Linda when she died of breast cancer in 1998, aged 56.

The wood borders a 100-acre nature sanctuary called St John's Wood, which the couple bought together in 1990.

Joe Duckworth of the League Against Cruel Sports, which runs the woodland area, told the Sunday Telegraph: 'Some of them were diseased and it was decided that the larch would be chopped down as a preventative measure.'

He added that a number of the species are being felled in the area.

The disease, for which there is no known cure, has destroyed millions of trees in America and is spreading across the UK, possibly after being brought over in imported plants.

Linda's Wood was dedicated to Linda McCartney in a ceremony in 1998, where children laid posies of flowers and the Salvation Army played music by Wings, the band in which both Paul and Linda were members.

The forest has since been managed by the League Against Cruel Sports, as part of its deer sanctuary.

It has endured destruction in the past, with vandals causing damage shortly after it was planted, in 2000 and again in 2003 when a quad bike was driven over 40 newly planted trees.

Paul and Linda were married in 1969 and had three children together : Mary, Stella and James.

Linda wrote several vegetarian cookbooks, started a successful vegetarian food company and was a professional photographer.

Joey, what scares jb?

Nothing may be sacred after all: Sir Paul McCartney's son James is interested in starting a second-generation Beatles band with John Lennon's son Sean, George Harrison's son Dhani and Ringo Starr's son Zak.

The band would apparently be called "The Beatles -- The Next Generation," AFP reports.

There's only one problem: they're out one drummer. Ringo's son Zak Starkey was not a fan of the idea. "I don't think it's something Zak wants to do," McCartney admitted, according to The Telegraph.

All of the aforementioned Beatle progeny have taken after their fathers. McCartney has played guitar on two of his father's albums, and is playing a show at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, where the Beatles cut their teeth.

Starkey has drummed for the likes of The Who and Oasis, Harrison is the frontman of thenewno2 and Lennon is a successful singer-songwriter in New York.

As for the chances of the band actually coming to fruition? McCartney says it's up to "the will of God" and "nature's support."

What do you think of the idea? Let us know in the comments and/or tweet us @HuffPostEnt with the hashtag #beatles2 to be added to our slideshow.

Time Magazine's new book on Paul McCartney coming out on June 5th

When Paul McCartney played Yankee Stadium in July 2011 for two sold-out concerts, the 69 year old "looked as if he was having a boyish romp," said the "New York Times", marvelling at his 35-song performance. Age hasn't slowed down this former Beatle, nor dampened his ambition.

As the most successful musician in pop-music history turns 70 this June, the editors of "TIME" will publish a celebration of Paul McCartney's unparalleled career. Written by James Kaplan, author of the acclaimed Sinatra biography "Frank: the Voice", "TIME's" richly illustrated book will give readers a backstage tour of the many chapters of Mc-Cartney's life: as the precocious son of a Liverpool trumpet player, the "cute Beatle" of the Fab Four years, the prolific song writing partner of John Lennon, the psychedelic seeker, the devoted husband of Linda Eastman, the reborn frontman of the band Wings, the shrewd businessman with a net worth of hundreds of millions, and the social activist with concerns ranging from animal rights to land mines.

For McCartney, the adventures never cease. As he told "TIME" in 2005, when asked if he would still indulge audiences with oldies like "Hey Jude": "They'll get that too, but you have to move forward as well as go back. As they say, the show must go on!".

Spielberg, McCartney Fight To Save Film Studio

Colin Firth, Sir Paul McCartney and Steven Spielberg all signed a petition to save an iconic London film studio, which is under threat of demolition after 99 years.

Twickenham Film Studios made its name with The Beatles movies, "The Italian Job," and "Blade Runner."

But despite recent successes from Oscar-nominated movies such as "The Iron Lady," "My Week with Marilyn" and "War Horse" the studio on the outskirts of southwest London has become financially crippled.

There are proposals to turn it into a housing development. But Maria Walker, who started the petition, said there are still 12 films in production at the site.

She believes the studio, which was built in 1913, can be a viable business once again.

"This is a place that is quintessentially British but a fantastic center to come and work and is respected worldwide," Walker said. "Surely it's sending out the wrong message to America that our oldest studio is going to close down because people would rather turn it into [apartments], and that's just wrong."

Nearly 4,000 people signed the petition so far and actress Julie Walters has written to the coalition government lawmaker Vince Cable, who represents the area of Twickenham in parliament, asking for his support.

She said, "This is a historic studio of which I am part ... The closing down of these studios will give Hollywood one message that the British film industry is struggling, when it is not."

However, the government has refused to get involved, saying in a statement, "The closure will be a loss to the film industry but this is a commercial decision made by a private company and the government has no remit to intervene."
