Royal wedding: Sir Paul McCartney's daughter Mary wants to take the official photographs

Mary McCartney, the daughter of Sir Paul McCartney, could beat Mario Testino to take the official photographs at Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton.

Mario Testino, who took Prince William's engagement photographs, faces stiff competition in the race to become his wedding snapper.

Mary McCartney tells Mandrake that she is keen to win the royal commission. "I would love to do it," she says at the Saatchi Gallery/ Sunday Telegraph Art Prize for Schools, of which she was a judge. "Everyone is really excited about the wedding."

Mary's father, Sir Paul McCartney, has reportedly been asked to perform at the wedding. "I have heard my dad has been asked to sing," says the 41-year-old daughter of the former Beatle. "I will have to ask him about it."

Mary, who has won acclaim for her photographs, was chosen by Tony and Cherie Blair to take the first pictures of their fourth child, Leo.

The Prince's spokesman says he and Kate Middleton have not yet decided who will take the official pictures, but a friend of the couple claims that it is unlikely to be Testino. "They will probably want to give someone else an opportunity," he says.   "

The truth is that under President Obama, private sector job creation has been consistent for the past year, the American auto company was saved and is now hiring and leading the way, the Iraq war is winding down, health care reform will cut costs and increase accessibil­ity and is not a government takeover nor are there _de@th panels.  The truth is the stimulus did what it was intended to do and Republican­s who claim it failed are the same ones who used stimulus funds to plug the holes in their budgets.

The truth is that despite the historic obstructio­n (yes, historic), the President and the Democrats managed to complete more than 120 promises, including repeal of DADT, re-funded stem-cell research, LOWERED taxes for everyone, reformed health insurance, student loans, financial reform, created a Consumer Protection Agency, re-priorit­ized education and infrastruc­ture, and other laws that guarantee equal pay and equal protection­.

The truth is the truth and no amount of Republican lies and Progressiv­e impatience changes the FACT that this President has made progress, tons of progress during his first two years. 

It is amazing how unbelievab­ly blind Progressiv­es are to the obstructio­n and entrenched interests standing in the way of progress and how repulsive the Republican­s have been in their insanity and stubborn commitment to destroy the country to get to the President.
