" Due To Phenomenal Demand; Paul McCartney Adds Extra Stadium Date In Mexico "

" EXTRA SHOW – Foro Sol Stadium – Friday 28th May
Up and Coming Tour 2010

PM.com reported earlier this week that Paul McCartney had broken the world record for the fastest ever-selling stadium show in Mexico. When Paul’s show at the Foro Sol Stadium on Thursday 27th May went on sale, the tickets sold out in less than two minutes, smashing a previous record set by Radiohead. At the time Ticketmaster in Mexico commented that the show could not have sold out faster.

Due to the overwhelming demand Paul has announced today that he will add an extra show at the 450,000 capacity stadium when his all-new ‘Up And Coming Tour’ rocks through Mexico’s capital city at the end of May  ....... maybe even a THIRD extra show  ( This , BTW , is now necessary to win gross  )  "

Paul McCartney Still Gets Butterflies When Performing On Stage

He might be one of the music industry's biggest legends, but Sir Paul McCartney says he still gets butterflies in his stomach especially when he plays in small venues.

Ex-Beatle McCartney, who these days has been making more headlines for his love life than his music career, admits that while he has no problem playing in front of massive crowds in arena-like settings, it's the more intimate gigs that still makes him nervous.

McCartney told Britain's Absolute Radio: "I'll tell you what does get me nervous, when you're playing to small groups of people."

"It it's at all kind of corporate so in other words, charity does you don't know who you've got in the audience. It can be people who really don't like rock and roll, and you're sitting there going 'Yeah, we're going to have a great time tonight' and they're just chatting to each other."

He adds: "I sort of turn around to the band then and give a look which says, 'We're working, we're going to have a to work this one, you know, there's no relaxing.'"

But when it comes to bringing in the real crowds, McCartney says that when he feels his best.

The music legend explains: "I don't get that kind of nervous, because if they tickets sell really well, you get an idea that these people really want to come and see you. And I kind of feel that about the people who come and see me, we're sort of mates. We get this kind of thing going, so I don't feel too bad."

Davy Jones envious of McCartney

Davy Jones sounds a little jealous of a certain ex-Beatle. Interviewed on BlogTalkRadio, the former Monkees singer gripes about earning a living as a performer these days. "There's a lot of impostors out there," he said. "They're all vying for the same job. The economics of the country right now is such that you gotta price yourself in the right place. Not everybody has got the Paul McCartney American Express connections."

Once again U2, the world's highest-earning act, top the Irish music rich list, with Westlife joining the top five for the first time.

The 2010 Sunday Times Music Rich List puts U2's total wealth at £429 million (€690m) -- up some £5m on last year. The band was the highest-earning act in the world last year.

The remainder of the top five remains the same as 2009, with Michael Flatley (£241m), Enya (£85m), Van Morrison (£50m) and Chris de Burgh (£31m) following U2 in that order. However, also into the mix have come Louis Walsh proteges Westlife, who take joint fifth place with Chris de Burgh with total earnings of £31m.

However, these are a far cry from those in the top spots in the British music millionaires chart. Chairman and chief executive of the Warner Music Group, Edgar Bronfman, goes straight to the top with a fortune of more than £1.6 billion. The billionaire, who moved from Britain to New York, so his children can experience life abroad for two years, made his fortune partly as a result of his family's past ownership of the Seagram drinks empire. Mr. Bronfman is ranked 25th in the 2010 list of the 1,000 richest people in Britain and this year pushed former Zomba record company owner Clive Calder into second place in the music millionaires' list. London theatre impresario, Sir Cameron Mackintosh, is at number four on the list after his fortune rose by 80% last year to £635m. He is one place behind Andrew Lloyd Webber who lost £50m last year, although he is still comfortable sitting on £700m.

The remainder of the top 10 list contain legends such as Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Sting and Elton John. X Factor creator Simon Cowell just misses out on the top 10, although his fortune rose from £125m to £160m last year.

Charlotte Church tops the young music rich list (aged 30 and under), along with Katherine Jenkins and Leona Lewis, all of whom have a wealth of £11m.

" Wonderful Christmastime  "
( by : Macca / Baby Steelie  )

" The moon is right
The spirits up
We're here tonight
And that's enough
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The party's on
The feelin's here
That only comes
This time of year

Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
The choir of children sing their song
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding Ohhhh
Ohhhhhhh

Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The word is out
About the town
To lift a glass
Ahhh don't look down

Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The choir of children sing their song
They practiced all year long
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding dong

Happy Happy Mother's Day !!!!! :

" May 8, 2010 -- Lime Wire Blog

A Mother's Day Remembrance from Rusty Anderson, Lead Guitarist for Paul McCartney

Rusty Anderson is the wildly talented lead guitarist for the Paul McCartney Band, with whom he's been touring the globe for the last several years. When he was eight, his dad gave him an electric guitar, but it was his mom who convinced him to take lessons, sealing the deal early on for a lifetime of making music. Rusty's mom passed away a few days ago, and he felt compelled to share a few words of tribute on her behalf. They begin below. Our thoughts are with you and yours, Rusty.

My mom, Virginia "Jean" Anderson, was born and raised in Redwing, Minnesota. Once a farm girl, always a farm girl. When I was about 10 I picked up a chipmunk at the pet store and named him Felix. He was an unruly pet - very hard to tame. One early winter day I checked on him in the cage and he was cold and still. I came to mom and said "Felix is dead." After examining him, she said "No I think he's in hibernation." She held him in her hand and began petting him. After 15 minutes of this nothing had changed. I said "Mom I think it's hopeless." But she kept on petting him and petting him. Another 15 minutes of eternity.still nothing. After about another half hour Felix started warming up and eventually opened his eyes. I marveled at the lesson I had just learned. Let's just say that she had endless patience.

She was a gracious and tireless patron. Whether it was driving me and my friends across town to rock concerts and picking us up (while working full time) - to making stage clothes for me (she was a pretty amazing seamstress) or driving me to pick up chemicals to make fireworks, to volunteering at the La Habra library after she retired from CalTech, she was always happy to help.

When mom and dad would start bickering she would eventually end the argument by exclaiming "woof". Dad would quietly understand at that point and the subject would change. About once every month or so, mom would have a laugh with dad but she couldn't stop. She would laugh and laugh for at least 2 or 3 minutestears began streaming out of her eyes. It was, of course, contagious and she would get everyone going but no one really knew why.

Even in the advanced stages of the disease she always found a smile, an "I love you" and a kiss. An official peacemaker and a loving soul.

My mother passed away May 5th - a week before Mother's Day. Having watched her slowly become devoured by the ravages of Alzheimer's, I guess I've been saying my goodbyes to her over the past couple of years. I don't exactly know how to feel now that she's gone but sometimes I'm not sure where she starts and I end."

                                                        ******* YES !!!! ********

" HERZLIYA, Israel (Reuters) - Israel is primed for a war on Iran, a deputy to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday, in a rare break with his government's reticence as world powers try to talk Tehran into curbing its nuclear plans.

By spearheading assaults on guerrillas in neighbouring Lebanon and Palestinian territories, the Israeli air force had gained the techniques necessary for any future strikes on Iranian sites, Deputy Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon said.

"There is no doubt that the technological capabilities, which improved in recent years, have improved range and aerial refuelling capabilities, and have brought about a massive improvement in the accuracy of ordnance and intelligence," he told a conference of military officers and experts.

"This capability can be used for a war on terror in Gaza, for a war in the face of rockets from Lebanon, for war on the conventional Syrian army, and also for war on a peripheral state like Iran," said Yaalon, a former armed forces chief.

Israel, which is assumed to have the Middle East's only atomic arsenal, bombed Iraq's nuclear reactor in 1981 and launched a similar sortie in Syria in 2007.

But its veiled threats against foe Iran have been questioned by some independent analysts who see the potential targets as too distant, dispersed, numerous and well-defended for Israeli warplanes to take on alone.

Israel's leaders rarely use the term "war" while publicly discussing how to deal with Iran, in whose often secretive uranium enrichment, long-range missile projects and hostile rhetoric the Jewish state sees a mortal threat. "
