What would you like to know about Nicole Mitchell? Send us your question
Q: When you are not at work, what do you enjoy doing?
A: Outside of my work with The Weather Channel as a meteorologist and with the military as a Hurricane Hunter, I am also in Law School. So, I don't know that I'd use the description "enjoy", but that is certainly where all my free time goes!

Q: What sports or physical activities do you play or participate in?
A: I used to Cross-country ski when I lived in the North, and I've always enjoyed 'adventure' sports when I've had the time and opportunity. With my busy schedule, now I love to get in some hiking when I can, and yoga is a must!

Q: Do you participate in any charity work?
A: I've always been involved with some sort of volunteer work, especially work with children in need (everything from working at a homeless shelter to mentoring through Big Brothers Big Sisters). Currently, I work with CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates), a group that advocates for children who are in the court system because they have been abused or neglected.

Q: What were some of the jobs you held prior to starting your career in weather?

Q: Do you love or hate Winter?
A: I love winter for the snow! Being from Minnesota, I grew up enjoying all sorts of winter activities: skating, sledding, cross-country skiing, etc. To this day, I turn into a big kid when a few flakes start flying...especially now because I live in Atlanta and it is such a rare sight here. What I do not like about winter is the destruction it can bring, particularly the increase in car accidents, the damage caused by ice storms, etc.
