I only have read one book on that subject ( not a favorite  -- obviously ) and it was Conrad Black's recent tome  :  "   Richard Nixon  -- A Life in Full   "   .

Not a bad read as it completely , COMPLETELY glosses over all of RN's criminal activity and highlights the fact that he ( Nixon )  prevented the North Vietnamese from humiliating the United States of America  [...... forget the fact that obtaining a  ' fig leaf ' peace treaty cost an additional thirty thousand dead American Soldiers  -- all for NOTHING !!!!! ]

McCARTNEY SMASHES BOX OFFICE RECORD WITH LAS VEGAS SELL-OUT "

" Sir Paul McCartney has set a new world record after selling out all 4,000 seats for his upcoming gig at Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in an astonishing seven seconds.

Tickets for the Beatles legend's April 19 concert at the resort's The New Joint venue went on sale on February 14 - and newly-released statistics suggest the gig was the hottest ticket around, selling at a rate of nearly 600 seats a second.

But the box office record isn't the only one McCartney is looking to smash - gig promoters at Concerts West/AEG Live hope the St. Valentine's Day sale encouraged couples to make plans to attend the show, and they want to initiate the planet's biggest 'love-in' at the event.

A spokesman for the company says, "Although Guinness World Records cites numerous records relating to Valentine's Day, nobody has managed a Valentine's party this big before - so we'll be claiming that. And there is another Guinness record it would be cool to break there too - the world record for the most couples hugging simultaneously is 1,451, set in Taiwan in 2007.

"It's going to be a love-fest in there as one half of the crowd has bought tickets for the other half of the crowd - as their Valentine's present.

"When you set those feelings up against the love songs of Paul McCartney, it's pretty fair to predict that there's going to be a whole lot of lovin' going on. If he plays (fan favourite) My Love the new roof will probably come off."

McCartney's show will be the first at New Joint - and the rocker is promising a stage spectacular.

The representative adds, "It's going to be a night like Vegas has never seen before. Paul will leave The Joint smoking."

The ticket record breaks the previous best set by British boyband Take That, whose 600,000 tickets for their Circus tour sold out at a rate of nearly 40 per second when they went on sale last year. "
