THE WHO - MAXIMUM R & B LIVE
The DVD of 'MAXIMUM R & B LIVE', first released as '30 YEARS OF MAXIMUM R & B' on video in 1994, is being reissued worldwide by Universal on March 23rd in a new package complete with new content, 5:1 sound and a bonus disc of the entire Rockpalast Concert from 1981, previously only seen on TV when first broadcast. The package also contains an interview with Pete Townshend recorded for the Rockpalast concert.

At the height of dynamic power, Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon combined to produce some of the most revered rock material of all time. More so than any of Britain’s legendary rock bands, The Who built their reputation as concert performers, setting standards by which all other rock bands will forever measure their worth.

The most sought after collection of their greatest live performances, spanning 30 years of their frenzied peak, re-issued with previously unreleased material. The main feature has been re-edited with 3 bonus performances and additional interviews plus the package now includes a bonus disc of the entire never-before-seen concert from Rockpalast, Germany, 1981.

Beatles' Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr to perform together

Last surviving members of the Fab Four to play charity show

The last two surviving members of The Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, are set to perform together on stage next month.

The pair will perform at least one song together at New York's Radio City Music Hall on April 4.

The gig is a benefit show for the David Lynch Foundation, which promotes transcendental meditation in schools.

Starr and McCartney last shared a stage during a tribute gig for their late bandmate George Harrison in 2002 in London.  "

Keith Moon : The Who’s Keith Moon to get “blue plaque” despite English Heritage snub

The Who’s late drummer Keith Moon will be honoured with a “blue plaque” just months after English Heritage claimed that the musician was not worthy of the tribute.

The plaque will be unveiled in March at the site of the Marquee Club in Soho by the drummer’s former bandmates Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend.

It will mark the scene of performances that were notorious as much for Moon’s hell-raising style as for his skill with the drumsticks. "
