Any more shows in the next two years?

Do you think there will be any more shows between now and the end of 2010?

Does not have to be a full-blown tour, but at least a few shows that the "average" fan can buy tickets for and attend.

In other words, I'm not including one-time club appearances, television specials, etc.
A string of club or theatre dates could qualify, as long as there were enough of them, and ticket sales were handled in such a way that would give equitable opportunity for most people to attend.

So, what do you think?
Will the Stones play any more shows that most of us will have a chance of seeing before the end of 2010?

Hey, I like that girl's watch. And her mousepad. Wink

I wish I had an original Swatch watch from the 60's....that worked.

yeah I thought there was some talk of Asia and Dubai and some other places missed during ABB in 09. Hoping for this and some sure markets like NY LA & London. Guess this all depends on Ronnie 'Rehab' Wood.

Yes.  Barring a fatal illness or disability to one of them, I think they will tour in late 2009 or at the very latest spring/summer 2010.

>Does not have to be a full-blown tour, but at least a few shows that the "average" fan can buy tickets for and attend.

I'm not sure that the 'average fan' thing applies to Stones shows already!

>In other words, I'm not including one-time club appearances, television specials, etc.

They wont do any one offs. They havent done that for three decades.

>A string of club or theatre dates could qualify, as long as there were enough of them, and ticket sales were handled in such a way that would give equitable opportunity for most people to attend.

That wont happen unless the tickets will have a price tag of four figures.  No way will they play a string of small shows that are affordable unless there's something on a massive scale (ie stadium shows) to counterbalance the small gross that those shows would generate.

Wont happen. The next time the Stones tour will be in the US, I would imagine. By late 2009 it will have been three years - even longer in most markets there.

Asia on its own simply isnt a profitable enough option.

Dubai is a strong possibility what with all of those migrant asain workers building the numerous Burj Dubai Skyscrapers ( ..where all our money is going ) .

However : Europe and the United States are completely , COMPLETELY "  Stones' Saturated  " .

That being said , the band could probably sell out MSG , L.A. ( Staples Center ) and Chicago's United Center  . Other " sold - out " possibilites are : Dallas ( booming economy )  ,  Hot'Lanta  &  Kansas City ( .... they got the new Sprint Center Arena and the Stones' themselves have not performed in the city since April ' 99  ) .

Other than that .....................................

Shiver ...................................

....and ' rust belt areas ' like  Detroit ( forget it !!!!!!!  .. UnBELIEVABLE Shiver ..... )

they better get it done before zeppelin tread the boards

zepplein touring - on the premise that theyre briliant live - will be huge news for ages, so much so that the stones wont be news, no matter if the new albums back to old standards or keiths learnt how to play or ronnies off the sauce

i think theyll take another whil off to record, then zeppelin will tour after thats over, and depending on how good their proposed album is then maybe stones have a window to release another decent album and large enough - probly not ABB huge but still pretty big kinda thing

no i dont see it happenin netime soon, esp with ronnie the way he is, they need him, he's as much the backbone of the guitar playin as charlie watts is to the whole thing

It's not Zeppelin the Stones have to worry about. The U2 juggernaut is getting ready to take off again.

The biggest concern is the HEALTH of the Band.
If all remain in good shape and Ronnie gets his ACT together, I believe the US will see a Tour in late 2009.

TINGLE!!!!!

They should just do Vegas for 6 months...they cant do every nite...but 3x/week is fine...they would be refreshed before every show...sure...it would be a cookie-cutter show...with little changes here and there...but we already have that, don't we???

Gambling...whores...drinking...buffets...Stones...some would call that HEAVEN!!!
