Say what you want about Elvis....he knew what to cover.

Here's a place to hear some great classic blues. Leadbelly's "Gallis Pole" was on here the other day, during the 2-4pm (central time) slot.

When does a blues song transition into rock n roll?

I guess just about every blues song done by a rock artist/band has become a rock song, some that stand out for me
1-Mystery Train-Elvis/Paul Butterfield.
2-Time is on My Side-Stones (first time a blues guitar opening was heard on the hit parade, I'm talking about the version done on guitar, not Organ)
Just about every Led Zep. song is blues (from the 1st 2 albums especially) the same can be said about Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix & so on, there's hundreds of bands that played blues that became rock stars, some of them didn't want to become rock stars but they did anyway.

The Rolling Stones ain't just a group, their a way of life-Andrew Loog Oldham.
