Joe Strummer wasn't runiing for POTUS, and if he was I would never have voted for him. I liked his music, plus he was a nice enough guy when I met him, but his politics were born out of his life in London. Liberalism is one thing. I can't find any validity in it, but I don't find it too dangerous. Marxism on the hand........google Saul Alinsky. Obama was a member of a Saul Alinsky inspired action group. Their message? Marxism.

Strummer's music was directly influenced by his upbringing in London of the early to mid 1970's. That's what I mean. As for his politics I don't care about his political leanings. I just dig his music.
I was a liberal for a long long time, pdog. I just woke up and realized that liberalism is based more on "feel good platitudes" than it is on any concrete results. I mean look at the race relations that the liberals have long complained about. They only pay it lip service. How many race hustlers can you point to that conservatives support? None! The same could never be said of liberals! They prop up people like Sharpton and Jackson. These guys have a made a career off people's suffering, and their hands are always out looking for more, or shaking down companies to get more. The irony is that liberal policies are directly to blame for almost every problem that blacks face today! Give 'em enough to keep them voting for you, but never enough to become self sufficient. This has led to generation after generation of inner city blacks that have come to know the federal government as daddy. It's a co-dependancy that can be laid directly at the feet of liberal idiocy.
What happens when a minority makes it big that is not a liberal? Just ask Uncle Colin, Uncle Clarence, or Aunt Condoleeza. Blacks that don't talk the liberal talk and walk the liberal walk are castigated as sell outs! I would strongly suggest that you view the linked video from Thomas Sowell. He explains this very well, and he should know. He's blacjk, and he's successful. Guess what Al Sharpton calls him? Well, here's a hint. Mr. Sowell's first name is Thomas.

Because liberals love to talk about giving, but like most everything else about liberals it's mainly just to feel good about themselves. For example in the last five years McCain has donated over 28% of his salary to charity. Obama? 3%!!!!! <-----------FACT!

So now it's about blacks... people who were property and denied the right to vote until 40 years ago... You had alot of people doing feel good liberal act, to help, tons of people to cash in always around those programs... You also had massive amounts, of Republicans doing everything in their power to keep blacks segregated. What's your point? That the man who want to be the Republican nominee, voted against MLK having a recognized birthday.

That charity thing is interesting, doesn't name the charities donated to... Or the time actually being of service and getting dirty. And once we see the names of the charities, can we look at their books? It's write off anyway...
It's really funn you mention the red state charieies. The ones that are usully church run, and they are usually for profit with very high payrolls. 75% overhead, for a charity that is going to convince a teen she can't have an abortion.
I get the feeling, you think the other side is out to destroy America. Both sides pretty much blow, the only difference is Republicnas values towards race, and war and education have always favored you. Seems you, and millions of others, think some shift is coming, and these angry american hating commies are going to take over. I've seen you throw total bullshit numbers as lies around before. There's great energy put inot making people feel scared and hare and be righteous over the other side. It works to, you get people hating and prejudging each other. Good people too, all because some Jack ass like Sean Hannity got picked on by black kids when he was 10.
Your really the free spokesperson for very rich powerful people who stand to loose free and easy money when Obama becomes president. And these people will stop at nothing, to stop Obamam from doing what they've been doing, spending americans money. It's been real easy fleecing the USa with all the privitzation set up by Bush. You get them to privatize, sell/rent what the industry needs, supply them, rent land and equipment, sometime you just own the company doing the work, and then you sell the product back at a high cost, that they paid you to produce. and nothing gets done half the time.
They did it to the point of paying people to pretent they were sellling plutonium in Iraq. Thety spent money, to just amke up a lie for war. And put great energy attacking the patriotism of good americans. Let Obama get a house cheaper, let some old commies club thrive with memebers from all walks of life. They need to do this, they are up against people who started a war in order to bring fast food and lattes to mesopatamia, at a few million dollars a day.
