While no fan of McCain, I just cannot possibly vote for a man with essentially no qualifications other than Hollywood and the mainstream media think they have found a sellable candidate to the masses.

That at least a few of said media have flat out admitted to the Obama bias whether it be lib on lib (the nastiest type of porn) or right vs. left.

Exhibits 1 and 2

http://technorati.com/videos/youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Du4c47X5ASw8

http://wizbangblog.com/content/2008/08/18/washington-post-admits-proobama-bias.p...

There are others - whether admitted or not - such as the NY Time's recent refusal to print McCain's editorial as it stood (ie his opinion) but offer to print a revised copy if it matched Obama's piece (to which McCain was responding), the Time Mag covers, the late-night talk show hoost joke boycott on Obama because there is nothing funny really to joke about, which itself is quite a laugh!  How about Obama's gaffe du jour about his uncle liberating Jews in the concentration camps -- that's pretty funny.  Or what about his Memorial Day speech where he saw a few of the vets in the crowd.  I find the fact that he did not understand one of our nation's most important holidays quite a giggle.  There are so many, and yet.....silence from the mainstream.  His PR team doesn't air that.

But aside from the media crafting of a candidate, he has no published record of what he has ever accomplished.
Prior to his election as US Senator, most of which he has campaigned for President and voted overwhelmingly as "present" at votes which means he took no position, what has he done and what does he stand for - can't really point to a voting record.

Okay, what about his work in Chicago -- what is his record there?
What do we know about it?
Not much really.
I punched "Obama's Illinois voting record" into Google and found these two articles.

The first states it is Pro-Obama - which made me laugh!
http://thinkonthesethings.wordpress.com/2007/06/13/obamas-voting-record-in-the-i...

The second is a bit more critical and eye opening.
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=18967

I would think people that are voting for someone would want to know which one is more accurate, but the media would rather focus on his magic carpet ride around the world.

What else has Obama led?

Well, he has an interesting issue bubbling with respect to his association and relationship with Bill Ayers, an admitted former domestic terrorist.  Obama was chairman of the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a foundation, of which Ayers was founder.

The details of this relationship are out there Scully -- they are locked up in the University of Chicago where boxes and boxes and boxes of records of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge are kept - including documents relating to Obama's work.  Problem is, the guy that was first told he could see them, was later told he could not.  The entire story is quite fascinating and is described in gory detail in that bastion of mainstream news - the National Review.
http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=MTgwZTVmN2QyNzk2MmUxMzA5OTg0ODZlM2Y2OGI0NDM...

Big left media has steered clear of this one.  My god, we can't interrupt the love-in with facts.

What else do we know about the man?
Rezko is still festering.
And for decades, he was a member of a church run by a racist.
How he managed to miss that is absolutely stunning on the issue of the man's judgment.

Add to that his continued change in most every position he has taken in this race is a testiment to the man's inability to make and stick with a principled, reasoned decision.

As much as I dislike McCain both personally as well as his policies, I can see a record of what he has done.
Obama is just empty.

Very well said, my Sweet Va residin',  fellow Stonesian lushy friend, Nanky.  Let's go get drunk  Better seen on weed!

As much as I fear the bolt of lightening that may hit me when my Father (RIP) sees me pull the GOP lever, I just cannot vote for the fraud Obama. He's done NOTHING, imo. Oh that's right. He's a rock star.

Geraldine Ferraro was on Hannity and Colmes last night and she put it best, "You have no idea how many of my Democratic friends are now watching Fox News as it's the only place where you can find ANY REAL information on Barack Obama".

I'm telling ya Nanky that Annenberg story is huge!! It's massive, and the media? Where are they on it? They are deliberatly ignoring it!!! I don't want to hear any more lying liberal tell me that there is no liberal news bias!! It has become so blatantly obvious it's laughable, and I would laugh about it if the stakes weren't so high. This man is a goddamned disaster. ANYONE THAT WOULD EVEN CONSIDER VOTING FOR OBAMA WITHOUT KNOWING THE FACTS ABOUT HIM IS A FUCKING IDIOT!!!!!!!!!

He has been soooo prepackaged and propped up by the mastabatory media it's pathetic.

Look at these tools that love to slam Fox News. These same idiots hate Fox because Fox has the unmittigated gall to actually try and get to the bottem of Obama's massive faults. They would happily ignore all the FACTS about Barry just because they have some insane idiotic hatered of Bush. The idiocy on the left is stunning! They are so stupid that they can't even see the truth, or more than likely, just happily ignore it.

Obama's acquaintences are a huge concern!!! This insane head fake crap about, "You can't judge a man by his acquaintences! That's guilt by association!" You're damned straight it is! He's guilty as sin!!! He is friends with racists, felons, terrorists, and many other less than trustworthy people.

I wonder is the left leaning Obama cock sucking media would be steering clear of McCain's acqaitences if they included a member of the KKK, a mob boss, or a bomb throwing terrorist. What if McCain was associated with say an abortion clinic bombing/Olympic Eric Rudolph? Think the media would happily ignore that?

Well, that's just what they are doing with regards to Barry's friends!!! It's disgusting! It's also painfully obvious. The media is just keeping their fingers crossed that nobody holds them accountable for journalistic malpractice. They are so in the tank for Obama that they should be on his payroll.

Oh, and then there's this. In the years 2004-2007 McCain donated 48% of his income to charity. Obama? 1%. He's so worried about the little guy! LOL!

Wake up liberals! You are about to destroy the Democrat Party for decades because of this idiot!!

Personally, I think the major media outlets admit the bias because they are proud of it.

Almost mockingly.

Yet they continue to watch their ratings slide.

Newspaper circulation down to the point they are letting go of entire newsroom staffs.

Liberal butt jockey Bill Maher deems Americans too dumb to be governed.

All plays out of the liberal playbook -- must be tough being so "elite," "enlightened," and "tolerant"

What was that amazingly insulting thing that giant BLOWHARD FPM said as he left here in his estrogen-laced hissy fit?

Something about conservatives holding their opinions just to piss off liberals?

Buncha idiots, all of them....

I'm not nearly as worked up over this as it may appear LJ. However, I am flat out stunned that anyone in their right mind would consider voting for this clown. He is in so far over his head that it would be laughable if the stakes weren't so high. Imagine if this assclown were running against Reagan!!!! He would be laughed out of the race for even attempting to match up against the Gipper. He would be loose all 50 states! Or, in Obama speak, he would loose all 57 states!! ROTFLMAO!!

Obama, Fan of Chinese Ports, Trains, and Airports

Obama, yesterday: "Everybody's watching what's going on in Beijing right now with the Olympics , Think about the amount of money that China has spent on infrastructure. Their ports, their train systems, their airports are vastly the superior to us now, which means if you are a corporation deciding where to do business, you're starting to think, 'Beijing looks like a pretty good option.'"

Ed and Hugh object, with the latter noting Obama "ignores how those structures were assembled, the source and conditions of the labor, the lack of pollution controls in Beijing and throughout China, the many complaints that Chinese infrastructure outside the Olympics zone remains shoddy, the recent record of Chinese manufacturing scandals, including the heparin fiasco which killed many Americans, and of course the catastrophe brought about by Chinese building standards in the region rocked by the recent earthquake."

But beyond that, let's look at Obama's examples of Chinese excellence...

"Their ports..."

Reuters, July 11: "Severe power shortages across China, especially in the manufacturing hub and export engine of Guangdong, are expected to add further pressure on exports in the second half of the year."

"Their train systems..."

CNN, January 28: In the southern city of Guangzhou, as many as 500,000 train passengers were stranded the past few days when a power failure in neighboring Hunan province crippled the regular train services, local officials said. About 100,000 passengers packed the square in front of the train station while others found shelter in schools and other public buildings while waiting for their trains.

"Their airports..."

Australia's ABC News, July 29, 2008: "Scores of Chinese air passengers have smashed computers and desks and clashed with police after a night stranded at an airport without accommodation, state media said... Frustration at mysterious delays, diversions and cancellations have at times boiled over into violence at Chinese airports as passengers try to storm grounded aircraft and police are brought in to keep the peace. There have also been cases in which passengers, after delayed arrivals, have refused to get off the planes in protest."

... "are vastly the superior to us now."

Yes, their power outages, crowds at train stations, and outbreaks of air rage are vastly superior to ours.

That's not funny Riffy.
No material for Leno there...

You are right though.

That is why the Clinton wing of the Democrat Party is so steamed - they at least had a candidate with arguably the best overall experience (not to mention management team) for the White House.   Oh wait, there is Joe Biden (snicker snicker - god I hope he gets the Obama nod, that will be hours of entertainment).

The Clintonistas know damn well that Obama is an empty suit.
And they know damn well that under the scrutiny of the watchful conservtaive media (where's that damn fairness doctrine when ya need it) the truth will come out.

That convention is gonna be a fun one!

I will say right here and now. McCain is our next president. It won't be close. I just hope that he starts rethinking some of his own idiotic ideas, like immigration, McCain/ Feingold, etc.

Well the polls seem to be bearing out a shift in both positives and negatives for Obama.
McCain has been effective in getting his messages out (finally) and he absolutely stuck his entire leg up Obama's ass in the debate last week.

(of course the media says it wasn't really a debate now, it was a pre-debate discussion)

The Russian invasion and occupation of Georgia provided even more evidence of the difference in experience, character and judgment of the two men.

74 days right?

Hillary gets stiffed

There’s one Democrat who would seem to have little or no chance of being picked by Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) to be his running mate – his former opponent, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.).

But it’s not for the reason you think.

Obama has often said, most recently on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on July 27, that Clinton “would be on anybody’s short list.”

But apparently not his.

“She was never vetted,” a Democratic official reported. “She was not asked for a single piece of paper. She and Senator Obama have never had a single conversation about it. How would he know if she’d take it?”

The official also said Clinton never met with Obama’s vetting team of Eric Holder and Caroline Kennedy.

And the official said she was never asked for medical records or for any financial 2008 information about her or former President Bill Clinton. The last information the couple has disclosed about taxes and financial holdings was for 2007.

The Clintons also were not asked about donors to the William J. Clinton Presidential Library.

“This would be the biggest leap of faith ever,” the official said. “She’s waiting for the text message like everyone else.”

An Obama aide said "absolutely exhaustive research was done on her over the course of the 16 month primary. She was researched more closely than any candidate in history."

Politico’s Alexander Burns contributed to this report.
