Tonight 22,00-23.00 hrs GMT, BBC Two, the first of three episodes on British pop music:

Pop Britannia, Move ItSeries telling the story of British popular music from the 1950s.

This episode charts Britain's journey from post-war years, when popular music meant light entertainment and was dominated by the conservative tastes of the establishment, to the early 1960s when British pop ruled the world.

Including contributions from Cliff Richard, Marty Wilde, Ray Gosling, Bruce Welch and Helen Shapiro. Contains some strong language.

Acc to Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad it contains Stones footage. For those on the continent who want to record it: it starts at 23 hrs......
