After he was slammed very hard by the system (six months hard labor for something he didn't even do!) he was a broken man, and completely left the stage antics behind after the Doors started to get gigs again by mid-1969. He continued to drink to absurd excess, but the days of getting thrown out of bars, for example, were long gone. Morrison may have been an asshole, but he was a very well-educated, extremely talented man who could write melodies without being able to play chopsticks on the piano. The last two Doors albums are both quite good, L.A. Woman even excellent.

plus its impossible to compare them, they did entirely different things on stage, plus jagger only really got goin in 69 anyway

Morrison was def. the shockiner in the 60's, unitl Iggy came along and blew the doors off everyone.
Jagger is the most entertaining, and works the audience well, but w/o The Stones, he sucks. Morrison and Pop could carry a crowd without one bit of music, they are both crazy, smart and took risks.
