CCR Reissues Out 9/30 (nsc)

Creedence Clearwater Revival's first six albums will be reissued Sept. 30, with bonus material including b-sides, and unreleased studio and live tracks. The albums--"Creedence Clearwater Revival," "Bayou Country," "Green River," "Willy & the Poor Boys," "Cosmo's Factory" and "Pendulum"--all were originally released between 1968 and 1970.

The reissues will be released in Digi-Paks that recreate each album's original packaging in meticulous detail, according to a press release. Each Digi-Pak also will feature liner notes written by established rock music journalists including Ben Fong-Torres, Joel Selvin, Robert Christgau, Ed Ward and Dave Marsh.

The original six albums contained several hits including "Suzie Q," "Bad Moon Rising," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" and "Born on the Bayou."

The album set, which will be available both digitally and on CD, marks the band's 40th anniversary.
