Music, to me, is the joy, right? I love my kids most of the time, and I love my wife most of the time. Music I love all the time. It's the only constant thing in my life. It's the one thing you can count on. :Keith Richards 1993

I liked Performance, bizarre though it was.  I only watched Freejack because he was in it, and sadly he was the best thing about it.  Ned Kelly is also worth viewing if you want to hear Mick do and Irish accent and play an Australian outlaw.

I second the vote for Man from Elysian Fields.  Is it typecasting that his best role is as an overrefined pimp?  Plus, there's something devilish in PimpJagga having Michael Des Barres as his chief ho.  (Des Barres actually turns in a memorable, Terence Stamp-like performance.)  If you can accept Andy Garcia as a 40-ish male escort, it's an entertaining picture. Elysian Fields and Performance are the only decent ones. Still, he is quite shit in both of those and the only reason some people hail his acting in Elysian Fields is because the others are just so unbelievably bad and it looks like a huge improvement. Just like he fools himself into thinking Let's Work is a great song, he fools himself into thinking he can act.

the only Irish accent I've heard worse than that was the one Tom Cruise conjured up in "Far And Away". Whoever coached that one out of him should have been shot.

Dont get me started on Hollywood versions of Northern Irish accents! Brad Pitt and Mickey Rourke's were probably the most laughable.

"The Nightingale" from The Children's Faerie Tale Theatre and of course his sterling work in "Bent".

Both did absolute wonders for his credibility.
