Imagine how these 2 albums would have been if Jumpin Jack Flash had been put on Beggars and Honky Tonk Women on LIB instead of Thru The Past? Always found it amazing that the Stones could have 2 monster hits never released on an official new material album.

It was part of the Beatle-era thinking in English record companies: previously released singles not to appear on LPs, could hurt sales (!)  It's why Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane aren't on Sgt. Pepper's, though they are in all senses the warm-up for that record.  (They're not on the 2-disc British EP version of Magical Mystery Tour, but were resurrected to pad side 2 of the LP - as the videos were incorporated into the TV film.)  The no-singles prejudice partly explains the different track listings on US/UK Beatle albums up to Sgt. P.

JJF might have worked on BB in place of Jigsaw Puzzle - and when you turned the LP over, you'd get "Street Fighting Man" next - its presence a sign that the no singles prejudice is fading.

Are you sure there's not?  I recall something where they are all in a bar and Taylor is the bartender.
