YIPPEE!!  And at my favorite venue... Fuck you Gazza, Will ya?

I am THRILLED for you sister!!!!!  I've NEVER heard of this venue...where/what is it???

We have friends on the tour staying with us who will be there too. Che and Shiobhain.....she's from Wales, he's got grey/white dreds and have seen Bob a bahzillion times.  G-do you know them? Meg do you wanna meet them?  They leave us in the morning just as soon as the dark clouds lift, (and they get their tickets for CO!!!!).

And I was ATTACKED by a young crazy woman who took my Santa hat (but I chased her down and got it back!!!) at the AZ State Fair....and had to be escorted out of the fairgrounds by security because she was waiting to beat the shit out of me!  I will tell the tale after my company departs. It was INSANE!!!!

peace!

How the hell did you remember that? You're right... pulled the Browns' ticket stub out, dated 23 Oct - so, ya 22nd. Happy anniversary, sister!  Better seen on weed!

YES! I see Bob in 16 days -  7 November, Kitchener. Comin' home to 'ol Jeffer! Only Canadian date. Love to pull Detroit the night before, but it simply won't happen.

What are you up to, now - 60 shows, yet?

I have seen Bob 56 times as of the 23rd.  Che and Siobhain just got on the road to Sabina, KS for tonight's gig.  They have a 450 mile trek to make.

I will work on getting my Fair story written so I can post it today.  Madness!!!

Pretty good recording from the first section under the balcony. Bit of a rumble in the bass and Charlie’s guitar is low in the mix at times, but everything else sounds good. I had the fortune of seeing Charlie join Bob in Round Rock, and then see a show without Charlie later in the week. There was no question that Charlie lit a fire under Bob. Don’t get me wrong, I liked Denny. The Stubbs Austin 2006 show was on of the finest performances by a guitarist I’ve ever seen. However, for whatever reasons the shows had gotten a little too low key in my opinion. Well there were only a couple of months, a handful of shows, and a few hundred miles separating Tulsa from my last show in Grand Prairie, but these shows were worlds apart. I have never seen Bob and the band smile and laugh so much. This rivals the three show House of Blues Dallas run. It was pure greatness in a great historic venue. I urge anyone to attend a show in the Brady by any artist you have an interest in. Tulsa needs to be embarrassed they did not sell it out. What else was going on in Tulsa on this night? The college football team played earlier in the week. Glad I was there. Tracks done on the fly so they may not be perfect. Enjoy.

Yes LB!  Che and Siobhain stayed with us 3 nights and are seeing Bob's entire tour!  They are wonderful people.  Che knows Bob's sound guys and that's how I learned Bob will NEVER play the AZ State Fair ever again.  YAY!    Better seen on weed! Better seen on weed! Better seen on weed! Better seen on weed! The fair people (not so fair afterall..lol) made him take the stage at 7 sharp and end by 8:30 sharp...so he had to cut his set short. He didn't have it ready and on the stage until 5 minutes before 7.  Bob no like being told when or what!  LOL  I still have my crazy story to tell you.  Maybe I can sit down on this darn thing and bang it out later today.  It's hard to use the puter with Chris needing it for his job search.  He needs it more than I do right now. Wink

I have cell phone photos of Che and Siobhain that I could send you ....if you want to try and meet them.  I need your cell #...email me if you want the pics!

Absolutely no Dylan news coverage here in Cowtown and his show is this coming Tuesday.

Here is what Canton gets: Grin  ( Oh and they have at least 4 or 5 more articles listed on the page too)

CantonRep.com staff report

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. “A lot of people can’t stand touring, but to me it’s like breathing. I do it because I’m driven to do it.”

2. “A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do.”

3. “It was like a flying saucer landed. That’s what the sixties were like. Everybody heard about it, but only a few really saw it.”

4. “No one is free, even the birds are chained to the sky.”

5. “I accept chaos, I’m not sure whether it accepts me.”

6. “I consider myself a poet first and a musician second. I live like a poet and I’ll die like a poet.”

7. “I think a poet is anybody who wouldn’t call himself a poet.”

8. “I don’t call myself a poet, because I don’t like the word. I’m a trapeze artist.”

9. “Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.”

10. “I define nothing. Not beauty, not patriotism. I take each thing as it is, without prior rules about what it should be.”

11. “At times in my life the only place I have been happy is when I am on stage.”

12. “In writing songs I’ve learned as much from Cézanne as I have from Woody Guthrie.”

13. “I’ve only written four songs in my whole life, but I’ve written those four songs a million times.”

14. “I have dined with kings, I’ve been offered wings. And I’ve never been too impressed.”

15. “People seldom do what they believe in. They do what is convenient, then repent.”

16. “You can’t be wise and in love at the same time.”

17. “If I wasn’t Bob Dylan, I’d probably think that Bob Dylan has a lot of answers myself.”

18. “Being on tour is like being in limbo. It’s like going from nowhere to nowhere.”

19. “Everything passes. Everything changes. Just do what you think you should do.”

20. “Just because you like my stuff doesn’t mean I owe you anything.”

Weird Hallowee'en goings on in Chicago.
That was the first live performance for “It’s All Good”.

Bob announced Tom Waits as a special guest star to the audience’s great applause, but what they got was Stu doing a rather good impersonation of Waits on his song “Jesus Gonna Be Here”.

Meg are you ready?!!!!   Charlie is so cute you might faint when you see him to the dipsy doo!  Of course, I can never take my eyes off Bob, but I have caught a glimpse of that cutie pie!  Bob does a full-on mind meld with Charlie throughout the show.  Have a GREAT show!!!

xoxox,
Martha
