Rolling Stones
Olympiastadion, Helsinki, Finland
September 2nd, 1970

Reel-to-reel > ? > CDR > EAC > WAV > Traders Little Helper > FLAC (8)

01 Intro
02 Jumpin' Jack Flash
03 Roll Over Beethoven
04 Sympathy For The Devil
05 Stray Cat Blues
06 Love In Vain
07 Prodigal Son
08 You Gotta Move
09 Dead Flowers
10 Midnight Rambler

This is a previously uncirculated incomplete audience recording of the Stones' 1970 gig in Helsinki, which I got a while back straight from the taper. Nothing from this show has ever surfaced until this. This is all that was recorded, as he ran out of tape just after Midnight Rambler. The complete lineage is unknown to me, but this is said to be a direct transfer from the master. Sound quality is listenable, but i'd say this is for completists only.

special thanks to DRNO for the artwork

it's running now...for the last few months there has been no action on the tracker...no need to run the tracker 24/7 if that's the case...takes a lot of computer resources to keep it running...no problem if it's being used

NEW ON THE RO TRACKER (on open-g's request)

Rolling Stones - Get Yer Alternate Ya-Ya's Out 1969
(Idol Mind Productions N-020)

Original IMP CDR -> WAV (EAC) -> FLAC (flacfrontend) -> You

Recording info:
Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York, November 27th and 28th 1969
Civic Arena, Baltimore, Maryland, November 26th 1969

Quality:
EXCELLENT STEREO W/ CRACKLES

Comments:
This is a CDR release from Idol Mind Productions....not a CD. Well well....I didn't know so when ordering it - I hate paying for burned CDRs; they won't last for many years anyway.
Anyway, this IMP release features a rip of a vinyl-acetate of "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out"....which means that the mix is different; and that there are some guitar-overdubs here which Rolling Stones removed for the official product. It's a real interesting listen!

Most important comments:
It's taken from a different acetate than the previous bootleg releases of this material...both vinyls and CDs - and it all sounds better here! Much better than the VGP release "Fuck Your Ya Yas Out". It's still far from perfect though - but a nice upgrade anyway
The crackles and pops that is evident on this IMP, shows that there's not any "no-noise"-nonsense that has removed the crackles....it all sounds natural and nice

Scans included

Enjoy...

New on th RO Tracker:

Thanks to Erik_Snow for the original seed/upload.

Original torrent commens:

The Rolling Stones - Stoned MSG 1969 (Remastered edition)
A Vinyl Gang Product 018 (repressed in 2005 or so)

Original VGP CD -> WAV (EAC) -> FLAC (Flac frontend) -> You

Recording info:

Live at Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York, November 27th 1969

(#)= County Stadium, Milwaukee, WIsconsin, June 8th 1975

Quality:
Very Good - Excellent Audience

Performance:
Well you all know that

Soundquality combined with performance, makes this my favourite 1969 bootleg

This new VGP pressing is in better quality than the older one - but how it compares; I can't say
- as I didn't find the VGP edition from 1994/1995 back then.
VGP did release some new, and sometimes improved, editions, before the very end - and also after they had to close down/change their name.

Scans included - the ones on the web didn't match this version

Tracklist:

01 Jumpin' Jack Flash
02 Carol
03 Sympathy For The Devil
04 Sttray Cat Blues
05 Love In Vain
06 Prodigal Son
07 You Gotta Move

10 Live With Me

New on the RO TRACKER:

MSG, N.Y.C. 11/28/69 2nd show

Thanks to the original seeder.

This is a decent audience recording of the last of the Rolling Stones' shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City, all of which were recorded for "Get Yer Ya-Yas Out."  "Midnight Rambler" is identical to "Ya-Yas" and "Satisfaction" has some similarities to "Gimme Shelter;" see what else you can match to official releases.  This show is on few bootlegs and this is by far the best I've ever heard it.  It comes from a very low generation tape, possibly the master.  Presented in FLAC 1.2.1.

Rolling Stones, NYC 11/28/69 2nd show:
01. Jumping Jack Flash
02. Carol
03. Sympathy for the Devil
04. Stray Cat Blues
05. Love in Vain
06. Prodigal Son
07. You Gotta Move
08. Under My Thumb

New on th RO Tracker:
With thanks to the original seeders.

Rolling Stones - New York City You Talk A Lot [New York, Nov. 28, 1969, 1st]

Madison Square Garden, New York City, NY, USA

November 28, 1969, 1st show

Incomplete concert

Soundboard recording

Songlist :

01. Jumping Jack Flash
02. Carol
03. Sympathy For The Devil
04. Stray Cat Blues
05. Under My Thumb - I'm Free
06. Midnight Rambler
07. Love In Vain
08. Satisfaction
09. Honky Tonk Women

Enjoy !

Not all these tracks are from the 1st show, only those which are taken from Ya-Ya's or Gimme Shelter (but in bad sound quality!).  The rest is the audience recording from the 2nd show. The 1st show is not circulating. And - these tracks here run way too fast!

Enjoy...
