Can you please explain what's a share ratio?
Hi, newbie here. Actually, I've known about RO for years and forgot about it and came back and saw this question and thought I'd join so I can answer.... lol!
Here's an explanation that I use at another website when someone asks the same question:
"Your ratio is simply the amount you've uploaded divided by the amount you've downloaded. If you achieve a share ratio of 1.0, that would mean you've uploaded as much as you've downloaded. The higher the number, the more you have contributed and
to do that you need to seed (upload) the shows that you've downloaded so that others can leech (download) from you."
A lot of torrent sites have "share ratio enforcements" where they ask that you keep your ratio at or above a certain number and if not, they won't let you DL from there anymore until you share and get your ratio back up. So the best thing to do is, even if you've finished DLing a torrent, is to just keep it on your BT client and let it seed for a while. Also, it's good to change your BT client settings because some are set by default to stop seeding once you've finished DLing or when you seed as much as uploaded.
Like StonesFanatic said, it's basically good torrent etiquette because it's all about sharing.
Hope that sort of explained things.
And Straycat87, thanks for that DVD info at Hunger City.

???? Btw, if I see a new torrent for a Stones show go up somewhere on other torrents sites, do I just post the info and link in this thread?
