One of the best Stones shows I have ever seen, even though I almost to the ceiling. This is a new transfer (6/9/07) with the missing second of JJF restored and some of the pops on the left channel of the intro tape and JJF replaced from the right channel. Any previous version of this recording is now obsolete and should be replaced.
=====================================================
The first version of this to circulate had a messed up beginning because there were a couple of volume spikes from the microphone that I manually edited with 2 DAT machines, not having computer editing capabilities at the time. Since the spikes were on channel only, I just copied over the good channel for those brief instances. I never would have even let out the first version but my cousin who went with me really wanted a copy so I did the best with what I had at the time.
This tour was somewhat inconsistent, some shows were merely good, there might be a couple I would consider bad and some such as this one were truly amazing. It's not even just the setlist, they were just really into it tonight. During the Start Me Up solo, Mick came along and smacked Ronnie on the ass which actually threw him off a bit.
For this show I bought a few singles in the $60 price range. The Forum has a top wall that curves downward at 4 points in the arena with seats against the wall. I was in a single seat against that wall directly to the side of the stage. There was a slab of concrete right next to me, there was really room for one and a half people. Since my cousin is only about 4 11 he was able to squeeze in. The sound was loud and due to seat location I wasn't really surrounded by idiots as I usually am a these events. It was pretty much a poor man's suite.
Anyway this should upgrade any previous versions from this particular source unless you got the FLAC DVD vine I sent out on Rolling Stones Boots a while back.
Check out Dime, The Trader's Den, Mindwarp Pavilion and Spice Videos under this user name for more of my torrents. Just released a couple of previously uncirculated (real) GNR shows on Dime.
