Weekend In Wallop - Wyman/Otway/Holland - September 1984
Source: ITV analogue broadcast (December 1984) recorded onto PANASONIC Mono VHS
Captured:Panasonic Standalone DVD Recorder
Picture: PAL 4:3 25fp/s 720x576 Around 9Mbps
Sound : MPEG 2.0 384kbps
Menued and authored using TMPGenc

1. Bill Wyman and Stanley Unwin - Sketch
2. John Otway - Green Green Grass Of Home
3. Jools Holland Experience* - Trouble

*Jools Holland, Gilson Lavis, Bill Wyman, Rick Mayall, John Otway

From my own master VHS recording made during original UK broadcasts.

There is the very occasional glitch which appeared on my original tapes.

Lineage: Terestrial Analogue>Mono VHS>DVD Recorder>PC>DVD

This is a bit of an oddity.

A weekend gala charity event was held in the vilage of Nether Wallop, England in September 1984.

Broadcast in December 1984 this show featured mainly comedians however did feature a little music.

This DVD has Bill Wyman and Stanley Unwin doing a sketch.
John Otway performing the Green Green Grass Of Home.
Jools Holland doing a comedy version of Trouble featuring Gilson Lavis on drums, Rick Mayall on vocals and Bill Wyman on electric guitar. (Though he tends to plays bass runs)

Hi y'all,

This is my first post on Rocks Off.

Thanx Marko for the 78 torrents. Do you know if there is a complete audience source for the 78 Detroit show?

The July 24 show is the same source as "Return To Liver" (VGP-292), but the VGP sounds clearer (lower gen?).

Marko, can you verify if your source is actually the (complete) Detroit show.  Some two years ago a downloaded a torrent claiming to be the full audienceshow from Detroit (titled We Could Be Respectables). After comparing with the soundboardtracks from Wolfgang's Vault I found out that the aformentioned audiencesource was not Detroit but the 78 New York Palladium show (in poor quality).

Yes,my Detroit-78 is complete,its a mix of DAC cd "Detroit´78" and a tapesource,which is an old source.Its listenable.
I can seed Myrtle Beach-78 too,but that shows quality is only,if want every show,no matter what.
Killer show through.
Oakland-78 is my next one.

Thanx Marko, so yer Detroit source isn't the complete audience either....

Myrtle Beach reportedly was a very good show indeed so let's see it.  The completists surely will appreciate it.

To get complete detroit, you have to mix SBD&Aud sources.I had as an audience recording, but as gas as i remember, last 1,5 songs was missing
from that recording, and it was a common recording betweet traders.

But the last 3 tracks are not available as soundboard either. So you can't have the complete show, do you?

Seems to be some confusion wether a complete audience recording exist... Time for a updated review of available sources?  Thanks for all the input so far.

If someone has the real audience recording as far as it exists, maybe he could upload it again? Maybe someone could also transfer and share the vinyl albun "Abandoned In Detroit"?

I have "Abandoned in Detroit" bootleg LP. I'm just in the process of transfer the vinyl to flac files and make a torrent.

It's based in a very good audience source, i don't know if is the same that is otherwise circulating and incomplete.

So far as I know, there is no complete show available, it's a teasing one.

There are some soundboard tracks like "Let it Rock", "Just My Imagination" , "when the whip comes down" coming from radio shows and are in a number of bootlegs among other you may found it in "Gorgeous Girls- " MORPH 24

Also, there are a lossy source from the the audio streaming of Wolfgang's Vault,  lossy but brings new previously unrealised Tracks. Got To RollMe made a torrent from that source, some time ago and is the source available on DAC 068 "Abandoned in Detroit". Not to be confuse with the bootleg LP released of the eigthies.

"When the whip comes down" is officially released on "Sucking in the seventies" LP, which comes as a disapointment when all Stones fans where waiting for next studio LP. We got Tattoo you short after , not bad!

Missing tracks so far, Sweet Little Sixteen, Brown Sugar and JJF.

Yes, but did you notice that the version on Sucking In The 70s is edited and shortened compared to the KBFH broadcast version? So even when buying the album I don't get the entire track!

And many thanks for the vinyl transfer!

ok,anyways,i just checked my Houston-89 and Pittsburgh-89.BOTH recordings are complete. But Houston has some seroius sound problems, sounds
like tapedeck eating a tape....sometimes it even sounds good.
Pittsburgh-89,sounds almost too perfect, very very nice recording from that tour,i have couple of others from 89,which are must haves
on RO tracker!
