Paul McCartney sings "Birthday" to Ringo Starr in NYC
Surprise "All Starr " Paul McCartney took center stage Wednesday evening at Radio City Music Hall to sing The Beatles' "Birthday" to his former bandmate Ringo Starr who turned 70 July 7th.
Ringo and his All Starr Band, who are currently on tour, were performing a concert at Radio City Music Hall when Paul walked out unexpectly to serenade Starr.
Ringo played drums as Paul belted out the vocals donning his signature Hofner bass. The crowd went wild.
At the end of the song Paul wished Ringo a happy birthday and said "I love you," They both hugged and kissed each other. Yoko Ono (who sang onstage earlier with Ringo during "Give Peace A Chance") was given a hug from Paul and Ringo as they left the stage.

Earlier in the day Ringo and wife Barbara Bach greeted hundreds of fans at Times Square where Ringo declared "Peace & Love" to the world promptly at 12 noon as his birthday gift. "
