I gave serious thought a few weeks ago to going to these two shows. A wiser head prevailed, although I'm regretting it already.

have to say I miss 'Gypsy Biker'. My favourite song on 'Magic' and it was sensational when played live.

I'm on the fence about this one so far...
Some faves - Night, Backstreets, Roulette, Janey, Because The Night - and some not so faves - Lonesome Day, HH, Waiting On A Sunny Day and Working On The Highway.

Totally agree about Gypsy Biker.
Love it live!

Toss in Long Walk Home and Devil's Arcade, too.

I've seen him 25 times. He's played 'Backstreets' at one of those shows.....Wembley Stadium in 1988. My 4th show. Cant believe I keep missing it ever since. The one I was so delighted to finally get on this tour was 'Sandy' though (down the years he hasnt played much of the first 2 albums in Europe).  And getting 'Rosalita' back after 23 years (and on the same night) was a great thrill too.

'Because the Night' is THE song of the tour for me, however. I mean, its always been great live, but on this tour, he's let Nils do the solo, which just puts it on a different planet.

I can always live without dronealongs like Working On The Highway

That's a first time in a long time?  Like '81?  Am I right, Expert?

Very special song.....

22 times in 1980-81
8 times in November 2005 at the end of the Devils & Dust solo tour.
First played NY Eve 1977 and then as part of 'Backstreets'a few times in 1978.

First appearance with a band in 27 years.

Love it. One of my all time favourites. Amazed that he could pull that one off in a stadium (its the first time its ever been played in one)

Leftie..you checking out flights to Nashville?

Yeah, GA tix are still available, and flights aren't too bad.
Wrestling with blowing the cash, though.

Those three shows at Exit 16W are looking better every day.
Figure I can catch all of 'em for what I'd pay for a Nashville ticket...

awwh..it is just money..and think of the history in that town Wink

Still able to pull the max GA's (4) and seats (8) for Nashville - even the $29 cheapies.

The promoters must be sporting Depends at this point...

Yep...

All the more reason for you to go!!!

Yeah, between you me and Lefty,we could make our own pit.

he played it during the devils & dust tour, but it was a solo piano performance. Nothing like the full band version!

I love this song, I always thought it was cheesy, but cheesy in a good way, if there is any

Helluva setlist! "Drive All Night" is definitely the jewel in the crown - and that's saying something, considering the other knockouts he's been playing!

Last week it was like 'Darkness' which is never a bad thing.

28 songs so far? Looks like the 29-song tie held by Milan & Copenhagen for longest set this tour is about to go.....

He is. For tomorrow night in the same venue. he'll probably play until it gets dark. Which, at the minute, is probably about 2 am in Oslo.

Per head of population, Norway seems to be his biggest market for concert tickets and record sales.

From the look of it, faith is gonna be rewarded over the next two nights.

I'm not sure why he even writes down setlists anymore. He pretty much just wings it every night anyway...The funny thing is seeing people complain about a 30 song setlist...Too long, too much BITUSA...STAY HOME THEN OR Shut the fuck up now

Yeah - never mind this "play what we know" personal jukebox nonsense, it should be "know what they play".

Amazing how some people can complain about going to a concert and the artist plays for too long. Whatever next - the tickets werent expensive enough, the sound was too clear and the beer they served was too cold?

I kind of disagree.  I got into a world of shit at a Bruce show once, because the girl sitting to my left was too pretty.

30. Twist & shout

Over and out.

and to think someone had posted about 4 songs in that theyd been told his voice was wrecked.

In Gothenburg, it seems he changed 17 songs over the two shows.

In Oslo, he appears to have changed 18.

Two shows of 30 songs, with just 12 being repeated.

Good God.
