'Held up without a gun' is the 75 second non-album b-side of the Hungry Heart single in 1980 which makes the Ramones sound like they're on mandrax. A live version from Nassau Coliseum NY Eve 1980 was released on the bonus disc of "The Essential Bruce Springsteen" 5 years ago.  This is only the second time its ever been played live.

Held Up Without A Gun!

One of my absolute favorite Springsteen tunes, and a song that seemed destined for one off status.
Read that on the recent US leg someone had a sign requesting it, and Bruce said "We can't play that one."

C'mon Steve!!

Gotta hear it...

My sister bought my tickets for Hershey, as did not know I was supposed to buy her tickets.  My friend bought GA, so I'm in GA now.

Lefty, I'm bringin' a 3x3 piece of cardboard and a Sharpee, so help me write New York City Serenade.

I would really love to hear that song live once, it ain't gonna happen in Hershey,

Pumpin' Iron, Sweatin' Steel hasn't been played yet either.  We have a better chance of seeing that.   Joe Grushecky may make the drive also.

Oh shit, I remember that one!  Dunno why I always thought it was on "Nebraska."  Despite it being a non-LP b-side, that song got quite a bit of play.

And yes, Happy Birthday to my favorite whirling dervish, guitar-slingin' Keith fan, Mr. Nils Lofgren - doesn't look a day over 40, bless his rock'n'roll heart.

If you see it on a setlist for Milan or Paris this week, open your front door and you'll be able to hear me scream from 4,000 miles away.

I was downtown Pittsburgh earlier today, and I ran into Rick Witkowski, guitarist for Joe Grushecky's "A good Life" Band.  I asked Rick (a really cool guy) to ask Joe if he could ask Bruce in he could play it (NYCS) in New York(New Jersey), Milan, Paris, and Hershey.  He just laughed.

Hey I tried!!!!
