Yes, Meggypoo, here I am ......
I just got back from Manchester, and, what can I say???
Don't know what took me so long to catch Bruce Springsteen live, let's just say that losing my virginity to him was far more pleasurable and memorable (it also lasted A LOT longer!) then the last time around.

Perhaps I've never wanted to go because his music has never really gotten close to my musical G-spot, but this concert is definitely amongst the best 10 I've seen in my life. What a performer! And, although he can't even hand Mick the water when it comes to fitness, he beats the shit out of him in genuine spontaneity. It is obvious that he is a total and utter sweetie, is having a real blast and truly loves and appreciates his fans, not a feeling I have ever gotten from the Stones, I have to say.... Amazing crowd, fantastic musicians, great athmosphere, can't even remember when I last had this much fun in the rain, probably when I was 6.....He really knows how to play the crowd, and the interaction is genuine, it was a bit like watching Jesus of Nazareth laying hands onto an adoring crowd.
Anyway, I loved it!
Oh, and sorry, no memorised setlist, I'll leave that to the setlist "nerds". But he played a great version of Patti Smith's "Because the night belongs to lovers", if anyone's interested??? I was hoping for "The River", cause it's my favourite song, but I'm sure he played a lot of gems instead, there were 4 or 5 I didn't even recognise, but then, until tonight I wasn't a Springsteen fan....
Oh, and Judy (from Richard and Judy on the telly) was playing the violin, that was a bit of a surprise!

Have fun on Friday, Ade!
Night-night!
